Mine was an MTB duathlon at Llandegla, mate was a faster runner so let him speed off knowing I’d catch him on the bike leg, rode like a madman then got on final run and bang. Never been so relieved to see littered gel wrappers as a grabbed them out the mud and squeezed the dregs out (like zammo in grange hill). Limped to the end and mate had crashed and dnf. Ordered 2 of everything at the café, never failed to fuel property since!

Quite a few people at work who have Tusker EV’s use Octopus and mix of chargers but they all use/recommend Costelloes for the actual install of the charger, looks like they are north west and north Wales so depends where you are.

Closed weeks ago, shame as was 5 mins walk from work for me so always popped in for innertubes etc, decent staff, allegedly the owner residing in Spain hadn’t been paying the rent, didn’t help them that the proposed expansion of Oxford road train station a few years ago was going to kick them out of their arch premises so quite a few neighbouring businesses left.

Had same issue once trying to get into our data centre, index finger print wouldn’t work after a sesh at the Roaches, boss not happy with the delay getting in for a live issue 😕. Switched to thumb print after that.

In laws have it on every time we go round now, one of the 1st questions she asked me last time we visited was if I’d been working from home much, I knew what was coming so lied and said I was in the office most days before she went on a rant about civil servants just sat at home skiving and they have evidence of them working on the beach. When I asked how they knew they were on the beach she was very vague and changed the subject. She’s also referred to Farage as ‘our Nige’ before, they were quite reasonable previously but seem to have been sucked in by GB news and the grifters on there. Scary.

Teams calls fine on wired? (assuming you have an ethernet dongle for the mac) If you leave a continuous ping running to something out on the internet does that stop or is it just teams? Can you connect your TV via ethernet if its next to the router?

Did a duathlon at Llandegla, my mate was a much faster runner than me so I went crazy on the bike bit in the middle stupidly didn’t take any calories on the bike and bonked, ended up finding old gel wrappers in the mud and squeezing the last bits of gel out of them, wasn’t enough suffered on the last run like I’ve never suffered before or after. Got to finish and he was changed as he’d crashed out of the bike leg early on. Never eaten a bowl of pasta and 2 brownies quicker at the cafe.

My mate is just back from there and got woken in the night by someone warning of bikes being stolen, his was locked in his car while he was in a tent, a few bikes were found stashed in the woods apparently so sounds like they stole so many they couldn’t get them away from the site.

The childminder must already know your kids don’t like dogs from park visits etc ? My wife was a childminder for a while and we always used that as an excuse as to why our family couldn’t have a dog (got a cat instead) just didn’t fancy all the hassle of dealing with parents.

My order of GRX cranks turned up just now ordered 19th April, dispatched last Thursday, parcel force (no tracking) my account on ribble still shows no orders even though I got charged and got order confirmation and dispatch email, great bargain but not very slick experience.

Initial call done – they offered £100 off the bill, I’ve raised a formal dispute and will send them the Peugeot forum post I found about the seats wearing quickly, said I was happy to settle rest of the bill, polite but firm.

Urgh – thought they had just moved the car on but got a bill from lease company today for the full amount, no mention of the fact I disputed the seat with the inspector, I’ve cancelled DD so onto them to argue today, fun times.

Every 6 months I write one to pay £2.50 for my leasehold ground rent, invoice arrives by post, it’s a massive pain in the arse.

07:05 mon-fri to get kids up for school, sit around drinking coffee with intermittent shouts of ‘can you hurry up please’ then when cycling to work leave 7:45 – 8am. Weekends somewhere between 7 and 9 depending on booze or the cat waking me.

Go to bed rarely before 11:30, wife mocks me for having to go to bed so early! She’s a night owl and will happily work until 2am then get up at 7:30. Kids also now joining in with the mocking of my ‘early nights’.

My wife was a childminder for years while the kids were young as she wanted a way to be with them whilst still earning and we avoided silly nursery fees. Money is crap unless you have loads of kids and hours are long. She’s a nanny now for twins round the corner which is better but money is crap and they have just qualified for 30 hours nursery so her salary has just halved, yay! As stated above you either pay for the nursery owners Porsche or pray that the nanny/childminder you pay minimum wage doesn’t jack it in to go and work in Aldi for far more money.

We’re just about to hand back a lease Peugeot 5008, its been a great car, loads of space and comfort and never had an issues with it over 4 years, yes it sometimes felt big in tight car parks but great for trips away camping or chucking the bikes in the boot. We’re about to downsize as wife no longer a childminder so don’t need the 3rd row of seats.
