3 and I only have 3 as I got a free one because YT had an issue getting my bike to me.

My one and only use of Tesla chargers in a hired Merc EQE and I had to download the tesla app stood next to the charger at the Trafford Centre, super easy once I’d downloaded the app and registered.

Get a job you can walk/cycle to, no messing about getting stuck in traffic or waiting for late trains, the amount of my colleagues lives they waste on the delays and then moaning about the delays is huge + it gets a bit of exercise into your day and wakes you up. Can you run with the dog? Sets of pushups/squats everytime you goto the kitchen for food/brew.

It was an EQE 350+ so an absolute beast, lovely to drive but a long way out of my budget new. Smooth and comfy, acceleration just bananas so kept it in comfort mode, overall a nice place to be on a long journey and easy in traffic with no gears and regen.

Did my first ever EV trip over the weekend – tried to hire a Tesla and got a Merc EQE. Delivered with 96%, drove from Manchester to Southampton picking a colleague up near Northwich. Arrived with 32% and used charger at hotel (only charged at 11kwh despite being 22kw charger but no problem as could just leave it charging) Bit of a faff as needed to download an app and took a few goes plugging in to get to to communicate with the car but fine after. Chickened out of leaving it connected all night as was worried it would be full at 4am then charge me for overstaying so didn’t depart with a full battery.

Stopped on way up north but the 4 non tesla chargers were busy (sat afternoon) so went to next services and got on last available charger there at 22kwh so grabbed enough charge to get home during the biblical storm, annoyingly as soon as I disconnected the chap in the Mustang next to us went from 22kw to 44 so obviously shared. Nipped to trafford centre to use Tesla superchargers, downloaded app and was soon enjoying 169kw which was mega.

TLDR With no pre planning or even pre loading apps it was pretty easy for a 1st trip, Tesla chargers are the dogs danglies and the Merc has a massive battery.

Trying to cut down myself and joined the 100 days of exercise thing, not liking that people have given up or drastically reduced but seen little physical benefit – my 12 330ml cans of life and death over a weekend is roughly 1800 calories!

Could the airtagger be hoping people on a forum suggest you go somewhere remote to ‘verify’ it’s on the bike, makes you think

Saw some ring doorbell footage on social media where the guy answered via the doorbell saying I’m just having a wa*k mate won’t be long :-)

Love our induction hob, under 10 seconds to clean and can put stuff on timer and also has a child lock.

Work gave me EPOS IMPACT 1060 ANC – they are stretching your budget slightly but they are amazing, ANC is so good when on calls or listening to music, loud colleagues just melt away, they also pause music when you put them on the desk which is pretty cool if you go off to make a brew etc.

Just passed 2 guys with petrol strimmers clearing the side of the canal of weeds (well overdue) and firing all the spiky bits onto the path, didn’t stop to say I might get a puncture as thought they would be off their heads on Garry’s and Beak.

I’ve a SIPP and also a workplace pension from my current job (17 years) the SIPP was just something I opened before I started this job and also transferred in a previous jobs pension and put a few quid in, its dumb to keep it separate right? 2 lots of charges from funds and also 2 lots of platform fees? 5 years left on mortgage then hopefully do what others have suggested and re route that mortgage money into pension (aged 47 3/4)

Anyone watched Murder Mountain on Netflix? Covers some of the growers trying to go legal, really good series, it’s a totally outlaw part of California.

I googled it the other day, marginal gains relieving pressure on calves and avoiding injury apparently, have cut holes in front and rear of my cycling shorts but just look like Madonna not Maradona.

Amazing, bit of panic straight after trying to find a slack admin after someone posted a spoiler in the work cycling slack channel, managed to get it deleted but a few saw it.

Has the Farage kicking off about paying vetting company (who don’t do the vetting) been done?

Colleague has a Q4 and loves it, he says his electirc bill is less with the car on octopus than previous supplier without the EV, think he’s moved dishwasher/washer to different times of day as well as charging overnight, he catches the train to work so only really uses the car for weekends away and ferrying his kids around so not a high mileage user.

With my daughter (13) she has a starling kite account linked to mine and I can set a daily spending limit and I get alerts for all spending, maybe move some cash into something like that for day to day that you can control?

I also got pixel buds half price with my 8a, nice headphones as long as you keep still and breathe gently otherwise the occlusion effect is horrible.

Traded in my 6a and got full £247 trade in price, screen/camera is better and I prefer the curved corners, fingerprint reader is still a bit hit and miss but 7 years of security updates so will keep me going for a bit. Overall pretty pleased with it.

Manchester half tomorrow looking very rainy anyone else running it? 1st organised half in 12 years (have done 3 or 4 just while out running on a nice day). Thought my pb was from Rivington half 12 years ago but turns out I accidentally beat it during COVID so not sure I’ll beat that but all good fun I think.

Ejecting puck and rinsing aeropress then putting on drainer is less than 5 seconds, I’d buy one and make coffee at work sod extra weight on me or the bike.

Thanks for the heads up about Dmax my dad sounded a bit gutted earlier thinking he wouldn’t be able to even watch a highlights show. My wife just came into living room as Rob Hatch said ‘yes it’s that time of the year again, 3 weeks of racing’ she looked at me said ‘oh for god’s sake’ and left 😀

I think bouldering has ‘cured’ me, had the nerve tests and various physio and was starting to get really worried that I’d have to jack in my IT job, lying awake at night with aching arms and fingers. Regular climbing, maybe the movement and loading the joints/tendons carefully and it’s almost completely gone, only really get mild symptoms occasionally if I overdo it at work without breaks.

Entered the dream bike comp raffle a few times and my mate won hope brakes which he still has on his Trek.
