It worked! Bikehike was the solution. Thank you so much

Go to wales, base your self somewhere like Rhayader and you can have a week of great rides all over Wales.
Same for Yorkshire, I stayed near Settle for a week. Amazing roads, quieter and less police than Wales…

Yes just holes in the bag with some nice washers etc. The contents of mine stay dry in the worst weather and when being jetwashed. Im sure if i tried i could get some water in but as it is its completely weather tight.

First of all having a frame bag that bolts on is so much better than straps.
My frame bag (wizard works) is custom made. Clandestine sent the bolt placement measurements to them when they built the bike.

Probably worth talking to frame manufacturer first. Sorry I can’t offer more specifics, other than its worth talking to companies and spending the time and £ to sort it

I could definitely ride the trail under the gondola from Pila down to Aosta constantly for 2 days.
Distant memories of dusty fun…looking forward to being back there this summer

Not helpful to your plans…. But we did quite a lot of towpath on our JOGLE route. Once the first hour of novelty had worn off I found them very frustrating and would avoid in the future.
Car free but quiet sections were slow going, good surface tended to result in lots of (not aware) pedestrians, the stop start was a annoying, and the gates…..!
Give me quiet country lanes or offroad any day.

Ive just booked my ferry and campsite for 11 days around Easter.
    Very excited!
Im planning on relying on the app on my phone and waymarkers for navigation.
    Sensible?
Is there a book or anything to give more info on all the routes on the app or just a pick and hope for the best?

    3. 2 weeks ago, new bike, best mate, cwmcarn off piste. Had a blast

I have a Chinese 10 speed on the tandem. It works but is no where near as smooth. Will be replacing with shimano /sram/sunrace before next trip.

Ferrals has nailed it. Quite fun in small waves. Good in proper waves if you have the skills.
Standard sit on tops are for flat water only. Please, for everyone else’s benefit if nothing else do not surf a standard sit on top.
If you are planning to surf a waveski please go somewhere quiet if you don’t know what you are doing…..

Started using peatys winter lube. I rate it, seems to stay clean and gunk free

My tandem is exactly what you describe. Its based on the carrier mmodel from http://www.clandestine.cc We did a month tour in the summer which included some pretty full on offroad touring and long road miles.

We went for lots of stand over for the tandem, but otherwise reducing stand over not a bad idea for increasing frame bag potential. Obviously you dont want the bike too big…

We have oiled engineered oak in our whole house.
We want to re-do the kitchen with something else.
It works elsewhere, but isn’t ideal for the treatment a kitchen gets and im terrified of staining it etc…!

    This does not exist.
You can’t surf the big inflatable SUPs
You need a foam surfboard and inflatable SUP.
Or rent both when you need them
Or buy the one you will use more.

You can get surfing SUPs but they are not inflatable and proper £££

We didnt ever use it, but for a few summers we rode in the alps for a few weeks as part of a bigger trip (so technically riding holiday didn’t start or finish in UK).
We used worldnomads for our cover.

If you are there now then there will be nothing until Wednesday….
Wed – Fri there will be some windy messy waves to play in. I would go to cable bay on Anglesey for small body board on Wed – Fri. Hells mouth might feel a bit wild!
If we are talking some point in the next few weeks then 1-2ft max is not that simple a Q.

Not massive hills but Dartmoor could serve up some great walks.
You could easily have long isolated wild walks with good climbs permanently following different rivers.

Used to hardly ever use sites. Pre covid it was becoming more difficult. The instagram #vanlife world has gone crazy.
Covid has also made a big difference. Scotland was crazy last Oct.
More people in places that for years have been just us. Places here in Devon that we have used for years now either full of vans or clear signage to stop you.
We are using sites for now, hopefully until things calm down but i fear its a permanent or long term change.

I managed to get 2x sunrace 50t from bike discount.
Only 1 ride on but all good.
Works with m8000 mech. Anodised red on cassette body is a bit gopping though! Oh and 50t looks enormous!

Do cranks creak with no chain?
Tried the cranks on a different bike?

    Rear axle?
    Suspension pivot?

    Moto guzzi v85?
I fancy one but do a lot of 2up so decided it would be underpowered. Potentially a nicer more powerful adventure bike than the enfield

I have found the budget shimano brakes to be completely adequate. Had them on my fat bike for a few years before it became too unfashionable to ride

    Cordless wahl magic clip here.
    Easily 5 years old…
Treated it to new blades a few weeks ago. Battery seems to last forever. Used every week.
Cannot fault it, feel like ive already had my moneys worth. Will buy again

Ducato mwb owner here. Gets a a lot of use. Great for extended stays, bikes etc… For 2 of us. Love it, but…
30k, want good return on your money? T5/6 pro conversion pop top.
No brainer. Parents genuinely lost no money on their t5 over 5 years.
They saved a lot by buying brand new panel van and taking to a pro conversion company. And for safe money get the standard lay out with rnr bed etc… Anything else will not hold its value as well.

Also, yes to toilet. Off grid with standard dometic electric fridge is fine with 200w upwards panel and 200ah upwards of battery and a bit of driving every couple of days.
Eber heater essential for year round and you won’t regret it.
Spend proper money to start with and your investment is far safer.
Go with well known conversion for financial security

Tube, pump, levers either in bumbag or top tube bag depending on my mood.
