Here is a picture of Ton’s purchase. I think in all the handbag waving he got some mixed messages but being STW the word Audi got through

OP do you check your bike over before and after a ride and how often do you clean and lube it?
Putting a muddy bike in the shed and pulling it out again for the next ride is going to increase wear massively over a properly cleaned and lubed bike.

The fact that it ran with the new battery on but then not the following day points towards charging issues. The battery may not be charging or you have a short draining it down.
Try charging the battery and see if you can get it to fire up again.

If you are overweight it is really very simple…….
Eat less and move more until you reach your target weight and then maintain a healthy lifestyle. Getting hung up on not eating certain food groups is not going to change you long term.
People that lose weight on a fad diet mainly seem to put it back on just in time for the latest fad diet.
OP it sounds like you have done really well but then started to slip back into bad habits. Take a good look at your portion sizes and the things you see as a special treat.

There may be more to this than we are being told by the OP.
The following is from a thread that is over a year old:

i wouldnt wait , ive been waiting for a bike (strive )since sept , delayed every week ,now end of jan so i cancelled today , whos to say it wont be delayed in march again ,but only you can know !

That opens up the possibility that he did actually cancel his order and Canyon sent it any way.

Going by Wiggle the Tiagra 11-34 is 350g and the XT 11-34 is 323g so very little in it weight wise.
I have a bike with Tiagra 4700 and swapped the OE 11-32 for a Tiagra 11-34, when it was brand new, without changing the chain. Shifts perfectly and the cage looks normal even when going big to big which you shouldn’t ride in.

If you know that you have not paid then you ought to cover it now. If things are tight at the moment you might contact them and say as the invoice is so late you will pay it next month.

I have just found out that the runner/throw thing that goes across the bottom of the bed actually has a purpose. Apparently it is to stop you marking the bed linen with your shoes if you lay on top of the covers with your shoes on.
So off you go chaps, preferably straight after a muddy ride, crash out on the bed with your manky 510’s on and don’t worry about the linen because the runner will be serving its true purpose.
Don’t forget to report back on your experiences.

Cushions on the bed, two of which match the curtains. Check.
Cushions on guest bed and 2 foot throw. Check.
More candles than a Catholic Church. Check.
Fairy lights all year around. Check.
But what really does my head in are the fresh lilies that drop their stamen on the floor and the fact that I didn’t even know what a lily stamen was until I got married!!!

Knee and elbow pads are fairly standard kit for me when riding off road. The older you get, the slower you heal.

The Jump seems to get a load of media coverage for a TV show that no one views
If I was a retired elite sportsman, looking to build a broader media persona and was offered a free ski trip, I’d jump at it :D

Although the construction of motorcycle helmet is different to a cycle helmet some of the following may relevant.
I used to work for the UK distributor of Arai helmets and they did a lot of research into degradation of their product. The soft foam and inner liner are the bits that degrade and these are the elements that absorb most the shock in an impact. These parts degrade mostly from contact with the natural oils in your skin and hair and sweat. Arai recommend that you replace a helmet every 5 years in normal use use and 7 years for light use.
Some outer shells were left outside the factory in direct sunlight for 10 years and when tested still passed the relevant impact tests.
Whoever decided that you need to replace a helmet 3 years after the date of manufacture rather than first use, needs their head examined.
Ooh, did you see what I did there?

Upset because the cousins didn’t ring on your kids birthday?
I really don’t get it. He may be the most important thing in your life but he isn’t the most important thing in every one else’s. I struggle to remember my siblings birthdays and haven’t got a clue when all my cousins were born.

Check your engine code. I’m pretty sure that you will find it is a BXE otherwise known as a UXB. They tend to explode in spectacular fashion on a fairly regular basis.
Loads of reports of this problem in VW group cars for example[/url]

In the box and unused will not cause any degradation and usage recommendations apply from when the product was first used.

There appears to be a lack of a song in that You Tube clip. I can hear some music and some bloke shouting but not a hint of a song. In fact, I believe my ears have been severely abused by being subjected to that noise and I’m now on the phone to Injury Lawyers For You

The issue that should be highlighted is the proliferation of wood burners in homes that do not need them or more importantly know how to use them responsibly.
Burners are seen by some as a must have a fashion accessory for their suburban home. They should only be used responsibly where there is no viable cleaner alternative, especially if you live in an area of high population.
Maybe it’s time to for education rather than further legislation?

That’s a great deal at Merlin. You’d struggle to buy a replacement lever and a set of f&R pads for £32.

It depends on what sort of resolution you want to work in. If you want your whole workflow in 4k then you will need a top end machine with a 4k screen, as much RAM and as good a graphics card as you can get.
If you just want to give editing a go there are plenty of free trial editing software choices and even a basic machine will work in lower resolution. The bundled software in operating systems is a good place to find out if your really want to loose hours of your life looking at the same images again and again

White coat is a real thing for some people. Mrs 24k is so bad that she once had a full on panic attack when a nurse pulled out the BP monitor. It got so bad that the nurse ran off to get help whilst leaving the wife breathing in a brown paper bag.
We have a BP monitor at home and our GP likes to compare the at home readings to the sky high ones taken at the surgery.

Apply code JANSALE for 25% off Euro Car Parts batteries and check Halfords etc. Batteries have gone up a lot in the last few years and a cold snap is the worst time to buy.

16 is the age that it is legal to get married with parental consent. It is also the age that many people start to have sex in “serious” relationships. How serious the relationship is something that only those involved it are aware of but their views may change over time.
There is no correct answer, it is up to you as parents to decide what is acceptable
in your home. Make sure junior is well informed but don’t automatically expect him to agree with your parental views.

I started the old thread so happy to see that you were pointed in the right direction and can confirm it fitted fine. I’m a bit miffed that Shimano are now including them.

Just take a look at Rob Warner’s beard in the picture on page 1. Hair dye is really hard and expensive to get right and Rob has not got it right! No one has just one shade in their hair and the area around the temples will need redoing every couple of weeks.
Embrace a it as it will only get worse/more distinguished depending on your point of view.

There are also before and after dyno runs showing a loss of torque from 1500 to 2300 rpm.

I love it. Mrs 24k is riveted yet mostly confused so doesn’t dare talk in case she misses the important bit. I get an hours evening nap as I find the program boring although I woke up for the car chase last night.

Never been an issue for me as I’ve still got a pink paper DL so all my previous misdemeanours are listed in biro on there. I appear to get 3 points every 10 years. The best bit is that it doesn’t expire for another 20 years as long as I don’t move house.
Interestingly, I have never been asked when booking a hire car if I have any points so I wondered if any one has turned up to collect a car and been charged extra if they have current convictions on their DL.
