Cheers Chaps. Glad to report it all works perfectly.

Sorry Lovewooki post crossed so my response above was to Vincienup.

I am fitting all XT for the rear including the XT shifter so it shouldn’t be an issue as long as the mech cage can cope with the compact double up front.

The front mech and shifter will remain Tiagra.

Yes the rear Tiagra kit is all being swapped for XT M8000 GS mech, cassette and shifter. If I understand correctly the GS mech will work with 1×11 and 2×11 but an SGS is needed for 3×11. As soon as my longer chain has arrived I will report back.

There are plenty out there with a free trial eg https://www.pinnaclesys.com/en/free-trials/

Try a few and see how you get on before paying for the full version.

Sort of reminds me of my neighbours response when I pointed out that his front tyre looked a bit flat. I put a gauge on it and there was a whole 13 PSI in it. His response?

“That’s strange as I only had it MOT’d 2 months ago.”

Be very careful using degreaser if you have a tarmac drive. Bio washing powder and several treatments is the safest way to go. To stop the problem I lay a big, flattened cardboard box under the car before starting work.

I have 2 very simple rule with 0% cards. Never put more on the card than you have available in easy access savings and never pay a balance transfer fee. That way you earn interest on your money whilst spending the banks for 28 months.

You can even set up a monthly savings account, paid by direct debit, to cover the final payment on the 0% card. If you don’t have the discipline, don’t borrow the money.

0% interest and no fee balance transfer card is the way to go.

    For example:

But if it fails the early test it fails full stop. You don’t have a month to drive it around and get it fixed just because it wasn’t actually due an mot until x date.

Not 100% correct unless it fails on a safety related item. The original MOT that is still in date means that the car is still MOT’d until the original expiry date. If you failed on a faulty tyre the original MOT would be valid but you will still get fined and 3 points for driving with a defective tyre. You won’t get done for no MOT.

If you failed the new test on a something like an Engine Management Light you can still drive it until the original MOT expires.

The MOT test is only for the condition of the vehicle at the actual time of the inspection. It is up to the driver to maintain the vehicle in a road worthy condition at all times.

MOT rules are a minefield with all sorts of interpretations made by different Testers and Test Centres but the bottom line is that you are responsible for the condition of your vehicle at all times even if it has a valid test certificate.

If you are headed for cooler waters a 7mm boot will work. Something lighter for Tropical seas.

These are for size 47-53 but you will need boots to go with them.

We have an annual policy with Debenhams and they are generally good with phone communication and modifying cover so give them a ring.

Meanwhile in a Distributors warehouse there are shed loads of every colour other than Hi Viz so, hardly surprisingly, they start to offer deals on the lines that are gathering dust.
    Supply and demand innit.

54 year old copper cylinder still going strong here.
Fitted a Salamander pump to a similar set up to the OP’s last year and should have done it years ago.

This feeds one shower for just over £100 and was simpler to fit than something to boost the whole system.

Had Karndean on the kitchen floor for 10 years. Tough as old boots and still looks good. Much nicer underfoot than ceramic tiles and no grout to worry about. Had it installed in the en suite and will do the main bathroom next.

Clearly my thoughts on the subject are slightly adrift diametrically opposed of the norm and perhaps in that respect I am wrong.

The solution to this is to sign in to your O2 account, go to Device Details and choose Unlock Device.
However you must do this BEFORE you port your number. Once you have ported you no longer have all the options.

Technically I am no longer an O2 customer so don’t have full access to the website as I ported my number to Sky. I reckon it will be easier to pull my pants out the top of my trousers and slope into town to get a sick deal on slammin my phone, innit Bruv.

Thanks for the tip but the problem is that O2 say the phone was not supplied by them and I have no way of proving otherwise. Never go from PAYG to Contract with O2 as they make what should be a simple process into a nightmare.
I have now gone over to Sky which is on the O2 network at a lower cost with far better customer service.

I wouldn’t drive past Surrey Hills to get there. I’m equidistant and Surrey Hills wins especially as I don’t have to pay £12 to park.

Check if there is a redemption fee. Mine is £300 so I currently pay 69 pence a month to keep the mortgage and the facility to borrow £70k at base rate plus 0.75% whenever I want.

Broker is basically a middle man who understands the market better than many people but not better than all people. If you have a very good understanding of the market, you can save yourself the brokers fee. If you don’t, the broker can save you some money.

If you are looking for mkIV Golfs don’t forget that the Bora is the same car with a big boot. You lose the hatch back which is a bit of a faff when loading a bike but they are often cheaper than the equivalent Golf.
This[/url] is an excellent source of fix it guides and shows you what goes wrong.

Quoting peak bhp is willy waving and not particularly relevant for every day driving. Low down torque increases are the thing you should be searching for. Have a look a dyno charts from your proposed mapper. Look at the torque curve not the peak bhp numbers that we are all drawn to (including the mapper!)

    From BBC news website.

The court has been told crash investigators had concluded Mr Alliston would have been able to stop and avoid the collision if the bike had been fitted with a brake.
    The trial continues

Latest radio news report is that he was doing 14mph also that the bike was tested and shown to take 4 times as long to stop as a normal bike.

I use Questor and have claimed twice over 5 years. I cannot fault the service and the online claims procedure works well. You can speak to them by phone if necessary.
If you have damaged the vehicle you will have to pay the Hire Company excess when returning so always check the excess amount before hiring and that you have a credit card to cover the amount. A 2000 Euro excess on an economy car is fairly common.
Make sure that you collect all the required paperwork to support your claim before you leave the rental desk as they will do very little to assist you as you have already paid them. Your Excess Insurer will also try and get as much as possible of the excess back from the rental company so that’s another reason why they are unwilling to assist.
I paid a £1000 excess to Europcar for what turned out to be a £580 repair. Questor got me a £420 refund from Europcar and paid me the balance before my credit card bill was due for payment.

    From a Google search:
“The two most densely populated macro-countries in Europe are the Netherlands and Belgium with 394 and 344 people per square kilometer, respectively. However if England were an independent country it would be the most densely populated macro-nation in Europe with a whopping 407 people per square kilometre.”

Just be aware that as in any major city there are nice and not so nice people and places in Naples. It is Italy’s Junky Central. As mentioned above there are loads of great things to see and do but keep your eyes open, your wallet closed and your phone safe.

I have a Boardman Hybrid Team that I bought during last years TDF when Halfords were doing 20% off when a Brit won a stage. At £540 with 0% over a year it was hard to beat. I have now done 1200 miles on it and am very happy punter.
The X7 frame, which is common to the range, has smooth welds and most people assume it is carbon. The Team also has a carbon fork and 20 speed Tiagra which shifts faultlessly. The womens version is only available in the Comp spec.
If they do the same 20% off deal this year for a Brit stage win you may want to wait a week or so before buying.
