Yes we haggled and got a nice kitchen at a fair price. But once this company has your hard earned that’s it.

Errors in their measurements – not our problem.

Extra cost incurred due to their mistakes – not our problem.

The staff at the showroom just fob you off to the Head Office call center, neither party gives a toss once you’ve parted with your cash.

We ended up getting some expenses back via the ombudsman, but it ended up a very unplesant experience.

Good thread, i’ve been looking to rescue a Pointer from Spain or Vizsla to keep my GSP/Vizsla cross company. My dog is still an 8 month old pup would anybody think it a bad idea to do this?

The in laws live in Spain and strays are quite common sadly. 😯

I stayed at the Sailsbury on 57th Street. Very well placed for all the attractions and was clean and reasonably priced when I was there.

In fact I can’t remember if the passage from the book, from where the title Trainspotting comes from, even makes it to the film.

It does as it’s the bit in T2 where Begbie meets his father (faither) in the ruins of the old Leith Central Station.

He says “what are you lads doing? trainspotting?

This is in the book and the new film.

I use Schwalbe Sammy Slicks, cheap and very reliable. Very good on Winter roads and Summer gravel riding.

If you met at Junction 30 of the M1 you could ride in that way. Renishaw, Eckington, Dronfield to Owler Bar then explore from there. It’s usually about a 60 mile round trip, plenty of cafe’s and pubs along the way too!

It’s urban for the first 10 miles as it’s the S.E. suburbs of Sheffield but they’re not what i’d call busy roads.

Our Vizsla Pointer cross sleeps in his crate in the kitchen at night and when we’re at work and is perfectly happy. Get’s the run of the house any other time though.

When I visited Seville I flew to Malaga and then got the train, which is very straight forward and easy. Most UK airports/airlines fly to Malaga.

Bruges and Antwerp are also nice and easy to access by train or ferry.

I spent New Year last in Corralejo in Fuerteventura which temperature wise was perfect.

Just been to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico on the Pacific Coast from 3rd to 17th December and the weather was even better, hot in the day but cool in the evening.

Best tonic going a bit of sun this time of year!

I’ve just flown Manchester to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico (11 hours plus) in a pair of GAP jeans and was as comfortable as could be!

It’s my local (15 miles away) and though not challenging it’s a good laugh if you pedal like everyone says. There’s lots of off piste, plus cycle routes leading to Southwell to the east (11 miles) and Clumber Park to the north (13 miles) all off road.

I’ve got a four month old Vizsla/Pointer cross and he has a lovely temperament, so I would recommend either breed or a cross. He does need plenty of walking and we never leave him alone for more than three or four hours though.

I stayed in the Ibis near the Eurostar Station and found the area a bit intimidating, but the rest of the city seemed nice. I prefer Antwerp and Bruges which are both about an hour away by rail.

I’ve had my Vizsla/Pointer cross for just over a week, he’s very, very energetic but that’s what we were looking for.

I work shifts and the Mrs comes home during her lunch hour which at the moment seems to be working well for all.

Plenty of lovely tapa bars off the main street near the Cathederal, especially this one..

    La Taberna del Pintxo Lario[/url]

The closer the Cathederal the more expensive it gets!

Really lively late at night in the gin bars etc.

The Port area is more modern but still filled with bars and restaurants.

The sightseeing bus is very good as you get to see the whole city which is quite large, plus it gives you tokens for free drinks, tapa and entrance to the Classic Car Museum which is great.

Enjoy as it’s a fantastic city, as is Sevilla which is easy and cheap to get to by train.

Their own gin is very nice, and award winning!

The O.H. loves the Prosseco too. Bloomer’s are very nice, Specially Selected Prawns in Chilli, Chorizo and as said before the ham off cuts are very good value.

My local one had Shipyard American IPA in bottles once but I haven’t seen them since, shame.
