name me a time in history where everyone was equal, no one went hungry etc.

In my opinion, the simple fact is that food banks have grown not only in numbers but also popularity. Get your self referred because you are in the following categories:

•Wage freezes and low incomes in general, making it hard to cope with the rising cost of living
    •Work hours being cut
•Unexpected costs – such as an unexpectedly high bill
    •Losing their job
•Losing benefits, or benefits being paid late
•Being unable to work due to sickness, disability or mental illness
    •Divorce
    •Debt problems.

So what did everyone do before food banks?

I have a Lezyne Dirt Floor Drive siting around not being used as most of mine go up with my standard topeak. So if anyone want to buy it drop me an email, based in Surbiton but can meet around Central london if needed.

    Thanks

The one thing that would bother me about (some) carbon rims is them being too stiff when you’re cranked right over in a turn and the suspension can’t work at its best.

    eh?

I sold my ENVE XC and built up a set of 38mm LB’s with super light hubs – in all honesty I cant tell the difference, but have lost a few grams and saved a few pennies.

I am trying to find the illustration where it shows the split of tax payers who take the most and least from state but can’t find it, it’s quite an eye opener..

Once again fixating on direct tax paid and ignoring all other contributions.

yes, lets not lets fact get in the way of a good argument!

THM – remember this is STW forum chat, rational thinking and logic are not considered to be relevant. Subjective analysis is king!

but it is fundamentally untrue that the tax paying rich support people on lower pay

    You sure about that?

I have dealt with Garbaruk – to buy a pair of oval chainrings for my hollowgrams. Whilst slow, they eventually turned up and working well so far.

I did write to him about this cassette, it will be 272 euro for the complete kit, available from May.

like the titanic.. at least he would like the tunes

Let me tell you something about the Titanic, people forget, people forget that on the Titanic’s maiden voyage there were over 1000 miles of uneventful, very pleasurable cruising before it hit the iceberg!

Swanage is great, my wife is from the area and she loves it. Not much to do in the town but lots to do in and around the area. Go to Brownsea Island if you get the chance.

I think njee is referring to pedal cover – I have just been through Darren and he was excellent. Covered the bikes, wife’s ring, my watch etc etc. tailor made policy. He’s the most comprehensive and cheapest I found.

I tend to link together Ranmore, Holmbury, Peaslake/winterfold, Leith, and back to Ranmore to Boxhill station, circa 30-35 miles and 4k of climbing. BUT, you have to know where to go, especially around Peaslake/Winterfold.

Indeed, with the good Euro rate, R2 bikes were the place to buy them. I sold my Enves to fund this little project. The new build is actually lighter than my Enves XC/DT Swiss combo.

Yep, I’m not a ‘gnar’ rider but liked the idea of wider rims for XC. The rims were surprisingly light at 400g each. Total weight is 1400grams.

I have just built my second set, 38mm wide, 29er with Extralite hubs and DT revs. I always added 3mm to the quoted ERD.

sold my Enve’s now running LB rims laced onto Extralite hubs. One is a XC set and the other is a 38mm set. No more Enve stuff for me, I am now a convert to Chinese carbon.

From a pure simple form of bike, that starling is lovely.
