try panaracer xc pro’s – i swear by them and CRC have a great deal on them at the moment. Also give Bontrager Jones a thought.

Roland Ratzenburger- That was very sad. Hence the introduction of the higher side pods to protect the head/neck following his death. He broke his neck didnt he? (sideways forces)

Very sad – the head on impact force detached the spinal cord from the skull (forward movement) hence the into of the HANS device.

it was a good ride – bit too much road action for me but good day out. evans do organise these rides really well.

the route was good too – a bit muddy in places but we set off very early so it was all very rideable.

one thing to note on the GPS route – i downloaded it on my Garmin and it was not the route that was marked on the trails. I went off course at least 5-6 times.

hi – never took any notice of the calorie counter (if I did I would never eat that pie, crisps and flapjack after the ride!!) anyway mine kept freezing last week so went onto the garmin website and downloaded an automatic software update tool which upgraded mine from 2.2 to 206 – no probs on the sat ride.

well the Police must be thanking their lucky stars he wasnt black!!!

I am going to keep a close eye on how this pans out – our home secretary and her able assistant (husband) need to ‘come’ good on this one otherwise all hell will break loose.

i had the same issue as ozzybmx – nightmare.

I had massive issues getting my tyres to seat (Panaracer XC Pro’s) Finally managed it and off i went to Nepal. On day two got a puncture. I spent an entire even trying to seat the tyre (to the amusement of fellow cyclists and Nepalese bystanders) A chap came out and took me to a local motorcycle shop – and in two seconds he got it to seat.

So, the moral of the story is……….. I know a geezer in nepal who can help you!

my experience of NN’s was shocking – i rearely wear anything out – my tyres last me years but the NN lasted 3 days of cycling in Morocco – sidewalls are as thing as cig paper and even a whiff of rocks makes the tremble – a terrible tyre in my opinion. (having said all that their customer service was fab and they send me out a new pair which i promptly sold on STW)

I think the NN are a love it or hate it tyre.

hi – i too have the carbon bike – love it – superb riding position, lefty is fab and it is very very reliable single pivot design.

I built mine frame to match the Team 06 bike – cost me about 2k.
