Wild weather is set to wreak havoc on Kate and Wills’ big day as meteorologists predict an extreme blizzard will hit the UK on 29 April.

Prince William and his fiancée Kate Middleton have reportedly been forced to trade the lavish open top horse-drawn carriage they had planned to ride for the backup 1881 Glass Coach, which will be fitted with a custom-made snow plough to ensure it doesn’t get stuck on the procession route.

In an effort to control the weather Clarence House has employed a team of scientists to construct a fake cloud made from frozen carbon dioxide that will hover over Westminster Abbey and ‘lock in’ moisture to stop it raining. Head scientist at the Institute for the Deliberate Insulation of Temperature (IDIoT), Dr Lars Polfio, said he was confident the measures would be sufficient for the ceremony and the balcony kiss to go ahead.

“We will position a large body of cloud matter directly over Westminster Abbey and the areas immediately surrounding it, along with a smaller one that will cover Buckingham Palace. Kate and William should therefore stay in these two locations for the entire day, as we will not be able to guarantee complete dryness anywhere else in London,” Dr Polfio said in a statement.

In addition, high beam lights will be placed outside each of the Abbey’s stainless glass windows, to emit a natural glow as the bride and groom say their vows.

i thought it was rather excellent – being an arab it was nice to see the homeland being on the TV for reasons other than war, terror etc.

binners – you were defo watching a different match – it was gerrard who gave way to hamman in midfield to stop kaka running riot. gerrard switched to right back and it was a combination of stopping kaka (hamman was immense) and some great passing by alonso that worked for pool.

oh dear this thread will turn into a ‘who’s won more’ soon. As a neutral I thought Benitez did a great job with the resources at his disposal. Signed some great players (as well as bad ones but name me a manager who hasnt signed a few bad players)

i saw the top of my head when someone took a picture from a window – made me realise it was time for the hair to go – that was nearly 8 years ago. Life without hair is great. Just do it.

i use joe’s on the 4.2 and the strip and the tyre become ‘one’ after a few months (stuck together and pain to separate). Evaluating other options so keen to hear peoples views.

I have standard tyres (nobby nic) on Crossmax SLR’s – inflated using Co2 and survived some hardcore riding in the Tuscan hills. Will never go back to UST tyres.

I have an old Rock Lobster Ti which I purchased 2nd hand as a ‘hack’ bike – i now ride it more than my full sus. In fact have a look at the Rock Lobster frame and the money you save could go towards some bling wheels and kit.

i have had so many issues with parcel farce that i no longer use them – DHL are much much better. Recently my lady was posted a dress from her mother on 12pm delivery. It never arrived. After much chasing Parcel Farce informed us the delivery was made to the local post office because the driver refused to drive down the road as it was covered in wet leafs! I hope they are privatised as quickly as possible.

And just to add – a while back i purchased a frame from the states. The value declared was $1000 and I would have been liable for VAT and Tax. They initially wrote to me requesting a payment of £10. So i went along and paid the £10. A month later I had another letter stating they had made a mistake and requested £480! After i protested I received another letter with a cheque for £42.00.

have been running a double on my hardtail for a year (42 30 chainrings and 11-34 cassette) perfect for most conditions. Up to now ran triple on the full sus but in the process of changing to 10 speed with 40 28 rings and 11-36 cassette.

we were in italy recently and the constant shifting from middle to granny on the full sus really annoyed me hence the change.

spokecycles – i tell you what's nonsense – the inability of CRC to even have the common courtesy to respond to emails within their own time-scales. Their failure to read emails and dispatching order I was desperately trying to cancel! I have had enough of CRC.

On one on the other hand – SUPERB!

getting my panaracer xc pro's on to crossmax is a doddle

    1 – mount tyre
    2 – remove valve core
3 – fairy liquid with water on spnge
4 – apply all around the bead making sure there is plenty of soapy stuff on the rim & bead
5 – make sure the bead is in the centre of the rim – REALLY IMPORTANT
6 – infalte using track pump – keep trying
    7 – tyre inflates eventually – rest!
8 – pour in sealent throught the valve
9 – fit the valve core
10 – inflate and seat the bead – be careful to not go above 45 psi with a wet bead – the tyre can blow off the rim (has happened to me)
