BR – thats what I do, surprised most people dont. But from my ride on Sunday I saw about 15 people on the trails, mostly near the ‘hotspot’ of Holmbury / Pitch on their all mountain rigs with pads etc so no wonder they can ride more than 10 miles before giving up.

a lovely ride in the hills today. it was no busier than usual and one person let the side down by cycling on the footpath from the bottom of bkb, the rest of his mates took to the road.
i must admit this will be my last ride in the hills for a bit, the tracks are muddy and need some recovery time, so heres hoping for a dry spell.

i also did not visit the peaslake store, prefer to ride to Leith and enjoy the view (there was one person there at 10am)

Someone bright will understand that we live in a democracy and can live where we want and cycle on designated paths! If you don’t like it, I suggest you move.

Crossfire80 – im just stating what im observing. I dont have any stats to prove my statement (and I suspect you dont either)

As for the blighting of the village by cyclists, you could approach this in two way, accept the fact cyclist will use the area and form a ‘neighbourhood’ commitee to look at ways to improve the current blighting of the village or just get angry and rant a lot. Your choice.

I agree with njee have been riding the area for 10+ years and its not busier now than it was 10 years ago. However, I am saddened by the number of illegal trails (barry knows nothing etc) being built and being ridden by people who should know better.

A few weeks ago I confronted a rider who went past a walker on the 2nd BKB climb, covering her in mud. I caught up with him and politely asked whether he realised what he had done – he stuck two fingers at me and told me to ‘F’ off. He was riding a Santa Cruz so that probably tells it own story.

i think this thread may actually be funnier than the oldie with the chap and tubeless goo and track pump. Brilliant STW gold. I love STW!

Our cat once jumped into a tub of paint, that led to immediate clipping. It was very very funny. :D

seriously, does it really matter who wears the clothes. If its good, people will buy nothing to do with class, job etc.

I have recently split my yeti and sold it on here – everyone has been a pleasure to deal with. I have been buying selling (and making the odd post on the chat forum) on here for years. Never once have i had an issue. My simple moto is to treat everyone how you would want to be treated.

Also, pay with paypal and dont use gift. Simple steps.

The truth remains that despite the undoubted failures, the successes outweigh the negatives.

the police are always right – 1433 people have died in contact with the police since 1990, no police officers have been convicted.
