after years of mediocrity, its lovely to be up there in contention with rich ones, chosen ones and special ones.
I for one will be a happy supporter regardless of the outcome

Let’s not forget, we had no chance at the start, even at Xmas. Delighted to have qualified for the champions league, league would be amazing but priority was the CL.

Try Farsports 38mm clinchers. I have their CX version without spoke holes setup tubeless on road – perfect now for 12 months.

Flaperon – used them today on my Surrey Hills ride – perfect, so much easier to read than OS maps, linking paths together is much much easier. Also, the scroll and zoom is much faster.

All in all, fantastic. Great work, thank you.

when I was typing ‘this’ I was making reference to the orangeboy post and not houns – I hate triples!

    ^ this
im not sure they have missed a trick, I was never that keen on a 42 at the back as my 36 with a 32 upfront has been almost perfect. I will be going over to XTR 11 speed when released.

Actually, someone might be able to answer this question, will the XTR 11 speed cassette only work with the XTR 11 speed chain?

I have now ridden the Farsports 38mm clinchers for 12 months, wet dry etc. A great wheelset, still running true and with no issues at all. Have been running them tubeless as I specced them without spoke holes, with Ultremo tyres. Again no issues and not s single puncture.

I feel sorry for the fella – a few years ago, I too had a mad moment and bought myself a 911. Never again – it also spent considerable amount of time in a Porsche service centre, most if it now a distant nightmare.

great news – now go out and smash up some dusty trail (in a sensible manner, without endangering others, respect walkers and horse riders :D)

It’s not that universal actually, single ring is prolific certainly, but plenty are just using 11-36 cassettes.

This will be hugely popular I’m sure, I’m not convinced you’ll get people with XX1 selling up and moving over, but I’m not seeing it as “a lanslide victory for SRAM”.

im using an XX 11-36 cassette with an XX1 front ring and XTR rear mech. Think i will stick with what I have until i get old / unfit etc, at which point I will give up cycling and play cricket instead. 😀

That race was won at the start – lead drive in merc has the call on strategy and pits. Hence why Hamilton defended like his life depended on it before the first stops. Both drove a great race, loved it.

Soon to be Mrs Mashiehood was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in September last year. It was invasive but caught early and she had a lumpectomy a couple of weeks later. The recommendation was to not have chemotherapy but we were unsure and had an Oncotype DX test to make sure. The results came back with a high risk of recurrence and so came chemo, which was hard but she was really well cared for and got through it.

Just finishing radiotherapy, 3 weeks to go and thereafter, Tamoxifen for the next 10 years. She also had an ultrasound and CT scan last week with nothing to report.

The initial shock left us paralysed for a week or so, after which my ‘we need a plan’ hat came out of the man draw and off we went. Look after her, give her all the support she needs. You will get through this. Drop me an email if you want to chat through more or if Mrs C wants to talk to Miss M.

    Take care.

I have a 525d 8 speed manual, 2011. Great car but there is no way I get 40mpg, more like 32-35 at best. Lovely car though, had it two years with no issues (touches wood).

ideally, they should have written to you saying what you ordered was out of stock. They really should not have sent you an alternative.

To be honest, I stopped using Merlin after I ordered a set of wheels a few years ago. They built the wheels, ready for dispatch and then called me to say the price had gone up by £40 because they made an error. I refused to pay the additional amount and went elsewhere.

Not nearly as much as in recent times though Hora.

i have been riding in the area for nearly 15 years, cant say its busier now than it was 10 years ago. This is a massive storm in a tiny cup! The trails in their natural form have been there for years, horses, cyclist, walkers, flying pigs and oil drilling firms have co-existed before, we all need to behave and play nicely in the sandpit 😀

As for Mr Milton, I bet he would complain about himself complaining!

went up it quite a few times.

Why not just keep riding up Gassons Farm from the bottom of BKB to the top of pitch!
On another note, trails in great condition considering the winter we have had. Shame about some of the trails clearing in Winterfold.
Also, a great job on the new trail at the top of Leith.

I’m sorry but my formula r1 had terrible modulation, they were either on or…. On ( could not stop them dragging)
I’m now on Magura MT 8. Great modulation, not as powerful as the R1 but better modulation
