I have ergon grips and Barends on my superlight. I can honestly say that they’re the comfiest grips I’ve ever used. The prevent arm pump on descents as you aren’t in a “death grip” on the bars. They also provide a large comfy platform for your hand on long enduro/trail cnetre climbs.

My wife also has them on her Spesh after I recommended them to her after she complained about arm pump…. Now she has them, problem solved 🙂

Never ever been away from the square taper/middleburn set up. I’ve never had a problem with it, never been tempted by the HT or 30mm idea.

Welcome back to the if it’s not broken don’t fix it group

I wish he would just hurry up and do it…

Thing is, who wants the Conservatives back in ?

Vote Liberal Democrat…. it would make a change, even if they wouldn’t have a clue what to do with the country.

Why can’t we have Barrack Obama ?

You should move to Zimbabwe, I’m sure they’d listen to you over there…..

Actually maybe you should if you think an election official saying something like that is acceptable.

Politicians are all a load of money grabbing arseholes who make rules for themselves and don’t deserve to represent the people.

Or words to that effect were written all over my ballot paper earlier today. Excercised my right to vote without having to pick any of the thieving corrupt tossers

I should be strongly inclined to report that straight away, asking to speak to the person in charge of your polling station, or if it turns out that that person IS the person in charge, to the police. It sounds totally wrong that an election official should be influencing voters.

You should move to Zimbabwe, I’m sure they’d listen to you over there…..

They were talking about it on the Eurosport coverage of The Giro…

“It’s a kind of escape for us, a chance to break away from the daily reality of prison,”

Tomato liquid feed and a bit of patients. I transplanted mine from pot to grow bag a couple of weeks ago. I lost 6 plants in the windy weather about 3 weeks ago but this week the others have come on leaps and bounds.

Good luck…. i hope they make it 🙁

The Gorlech Trail at Brechfa is one of my Favorite trails after Nant yr Arian. The jury’s out on the Raven. I rode it in February and found the mud and general trail conditions very hard going. I may pop down again in a couple of weeks and do it again 🙂

As for linking Penmachno and The Marin trail, I don’t know. I’ve ridden both (well most of Penmachno until a big crash) and can give the 😀 for both of them..

I’ve had my goodridge gear cable since September. Fitted them and have to touched them since. They have been a perfect fit and forget component, just like my Hope headset. 🙂 Plus I’ve ridden right through the Winter in the best mud and grit that they Welsh climate can throw at me..

until cav starts wearing the muscle skinsuit that cipo wore in the tour a couple of years ago then he’s not the worlds best 😉 I think he’s a better all rounder as he can now get over small hills as he proved very successfully in the Milan-San Remo….

I think he could be regarded as Britains most successful cyclist of all time.. 🙂

He is my current hero/inspiration (at the age of 33)… he’s unstoppable… roll on the next week of the Giro and then the Tour.

My veggies have all been busy, as have I. Due to surfrs’ (Dan) generosity I now have a path !! I have also planted sweetcorn and extra carrots. Here’s a pictorial update 😉

    The Veggie patch

Beetroot and Brassica (Can’t remember if they’re cabbage or cauliflowr (Guess I’ll find out in a couple of months 😉 )

Potatoes and Cabbage/Cauliflower and Broccolli to the right

Leeks grow so slowly, it’s painful. Courgettes died 🙁 but have been replaced by reinforcements (and plastic 😉 )

Onions are rampant and the Runner beans are recovering from the gale force winds last week.

The Path and a bit on the left ready to dig for the lettuces to go in 🙂

Peas are coming on (they’ve just started flowering 🙂 )

Should get my first strawberries in a couple of weeks 🙂 and the salad leaves are cropping about 2 meals a week 😮

    ‘int gardening brilliant !!

Having looked at the website, they seem to have the red arrow for mach 3 pointing in the right direction..

    http://www.dyfimountainbiking.org.uk/machroutes.html

The chute is located in the forested bit just south of where Mach 2 joins Mach 3 at “sheepfold”

    martyntr

Definately goes down the chute. We incorporate the Chute into night rides from Nant. Having walked up the chute before I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to endure it 😛

I think they need to proof read there leaflets 😉

This year will be my third Roughride. It doesn’t compare to anything else that I do every year as it can be rather “epic” and the grassy climbs can be very energy sapping.

On a positive note they have Jamaican Ginger cake at the feed point half way round 🙂

Last years Roughride was the hottest ride that I did last year. The hot weather made it much more tough. Infact it took me over 1 hour longer than the previous year to complete the 75km route. This year I’ll be looking for about 6 hours or there abouts. Nice and easy and enjoy the day out 😉

Amazing…. He may be from the darkside but I really look upto him. He’s a real down to earth guy who is focused on being the fastest in the world..

I watched a BBC programme which had an interview with him in earlier in the week and he turned down getting a new R8 after the Milan-San Remo as he didn’t want it to change his mental attitude and didn’t want to become “flash” and loose his focus….. nice guy..

The best for variety for me would be Nant yr Arian but I’m baised as I live down the road (as does surfr)

Like the others have said, closest is Caersws DH track, but tbh I’d pop upto Llandegal and have an sfternoon over there. If you get bored then Climach-x (Machynlleth) and NyA (Aberystwyth) would be easy to get to as would CyB (Dolgellau)

Not amazing but a respectable for a rugby player sized fella 347th. The extra loop was about 1/4 the way up the final climb. The loop closed after the first 200 but went straight on at a junction instead of the left hand (ish) turn uphill which everyone else followed. My/our mate Dave Reed (&wife) were marshalling that point 😉

Over £7.00 for a photo, that’s gone up a bit (nearly doubled) since last year.

It’s a bloody credit crunch how can people justify such a hike in price ? 🙁
