yeah, people (mainly wimmen! :OO) that drive up to roundabouts, stop, then turn to look right to find theres nothing coming.Stop wearing your necks out for nothinggggg! glance right earlier!

older folk that drive around roundabouts and only indicate when exiting. Its nearly always old folk that seem to do this.Roll on the 10 year re-test.Cant wait for all the old folk to never manage to pass the test again.

driving to the speed limits and having the same donkeys reeling you back in when you get into 50,40 or 30 zones.. as they drive scalectrix motored cars that only go one fookin speed. If they tailgate me,i indicate and pull over, let them pass and pull out again these days.Doesnt matter if its the middle of a busy road.I cant be doing with it.

bus drivers that pull out with asshole attitudes. They do it and often cause danger. They seem to think they have the right to be getting on their way regardless of what kind of vehicle is about to/already passing them. There are limits. The driver that decided to do this to me in Aviemore found out through his employers so hopefully he will think twice next time.

    faxes.

people continuing to ring fax numbers by mistake.

    faxes wasting so much paper.

pEOPLE THAT WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT OTHERS NOT STARTING OFF WITH CAPITAL LETTERS.

Just found this thread.Hope shes doing well. How well is she walking/lifting things etc?

My mother had a stroke years ago.I noticed her walking a bit odd up the hallway of the house as if she was half asleep and wondered why she was trying to walk whilst still half asleep.Something seemed a bit odd.

I remember checking how she was late on in the eve and i didnt get much response.Kind of like when you wake someone up and you get that first grunt!.. only they dont seem to wake up much more.

This is what makes you think.

I think i called the hospital at the time and told the woman that i think my mother may have had a stroke. She didnt seem interested and told me that she couldnt arrange for an ambulance to come around unless the person agreed to this. It was nuts and i sat there after the phone call with no idea what to do.I said to my father that i think she might have had a stroke and we left it until the morning to see what she felt like.(at the time, maybe it was the morning when i said to my father that i think she had a stroke)
She went to hospital that morning and i think she was in there for around 7 weeks. To get someone out of bed and tell them they are going to hospital while they are telling you to leave them alone as they dont need to go to hospital is a tricky business!

She made a good recovery but i wish i knew more at the time. This was many years ago now and its mentioned a lot more on TV etc to be aware of it/what to do.She still has a shaky hand, the other one isnt too bad at all.A bit unstable on her feet but like so many people, the weight she has put on doesnt help one bit.I think shes on about 12 pills a day.

If anyone else experiences something similar,do something about it as quick as you can.Time is everything.

The cost of a box outweighs the amount they lose each year due to people calling up (having received the item through the letterbox) and making out that they havent received anything yet.

    Lose the gut
Find a bike from the early 90`s
    Slide forward on the saddle
Get the right gear and not just the easiest gear
Pedal good circles and try and keep the power throughout the entire rotation of each pedal stroke.Especially on the loose stuff.

They reconed 200 riders. The smallest field his twitter rides will probably ever see!

Frankz, dagmar commented on how fast she did the 30 miles.she wasnt the only one.at the start i thought the pace was slow and i stayed back just to warm up which was a bad move.It was so hard to get through the pack. The folk that soon blew up were now blowing out their arses 8 miles into it and a lot were riding on the r/h side with no idea of who was behind.I could have passed but i wasnt going to start undertaking folk. The descent leading up to the junction where we turned left nearly ended in tears for some folk as they continued straight on past the junction as a car was pulling out.No brakes in the rain didnt help. There could have been some mad accidents on that hill but luckily (i think) nobody was seriously hurt.

So happy i had conti gator skins on!

Ive always been happy enough with the function of the fork but today i`m going to try hunters silicon lube as used by hope in their disc brake piston/seals.Its one of the slippiest lubes ive ever came across.

Once wiped off,it leaves a very slippy surface.

I have a cube gtc that had a puncture to the side of the seat tube. The repair was around £80. I`ll try and find out who repaired it.The repair is a mix of a weave/epoxy.Looks fine enough.

best to remove the pads and find something to lever the pistons back in.something plastic rather than metal. They should go in very easily. If they dont, you might be pushing them in off-square.Try a different point on the piston if you find this.

Dont lever the pad material. You will either mark it,chip it or possibly delaminate the pad.

worth spending the money on someone with the right fault code tool.I took the pug to a garage and he reconed the rear nearside was at fault.I bought a new one and it didnt solve it.It was something else.

On the other car it turned out to be the connection at the abs/brake pump under the bonnet. That was after the garage thought both rear sensors were at fault.(200+ quid a pair before splashing out on a 2nd hand abs unit)

changing them is easy.the time cleaning up the rust etc around them can sometimes be where all the time goes so maybe have a look around first to see if the rings on the hubs are looking a bit odd.also make sure they are clean and plugged in correctly.I sprayed my connections with acf50 before refitting to try and help them survive the winter. The flat bladed connections on one of the leads turned to powder so its worth putting something on them before fitting.

*or unplug them and do it yourself once you get it back from the garage.. as theres no way they will be doing it!

Nice pic bedmak! The sunset from Inverness looking over towards Contin was amazing around 10.30pm. 7 laps was good going epi.

The colours in the sky would have been a great reason to go out on each lap.. even when knackered.

In this day and age is it not a case of like for like?

If the intruder is screaming at you, you can scream back.If he hits you,you can hit him back.If he does whatever to you,you can do the same back but if you step over the mark and stab him after he was shouting at you.. you can expect to go down for it? Poor show if thats the case!

ive got a bel air and an fx.the fx,although far skimpier looking, is far more comfy. Its also got a cut out at the top of the i-beam on the underside of the saddle to give more flex. The movement either side of the ibeams compared to railed saddles is so nice when riding.Dont think that the i-beam design will mean a harsh ride.Try them out.
