I saw STRAIGHT past the dog. You must have worn that for a bit of banter in this thread?

I remember a customer coming in with her dog. It bit the other dog that was already in the shop so she grabbed her own dog, bent down and bit its ear!

I use a shim with my maverick. Willing to use one on the other bike! Both alloy frames and worth having a post that will do a number of bikes in the future*edit: as i might sell one soon so its probably likely that it`ll fit the next bike too. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone else to do this, though. :O)

maybe remove the maf and have a close look at the wires to see if anything looks oddball.

How long are they from the insertion mark to the centre of the rails?

Its going to be tricky for you in the winter, sanny. Come 2018 you will have to get past snow gates at drumochter, snow gates at the hayfield.. not to mention the newly installed sannygates at coylumn bridge.

I thought the bb height of the brigante would have raised more than 1.5mm when a fork with 20mm extra travel was fitted. Only 1.5mm?

Its a drag but its not that bad.Just a bit of a boring ride to finish off the day. I had to do it to finish off a 38 mile singlespeed ride as the car was parked in dalw. So maybe with gears it would pass a hell of a lot quicker lol.

The thread on the other forum looks like it might be fun with that guy kicking off and spouting!

I think we had 2 of the first gtc pro carbon cube hardtails in the country. One went to a magazine and our 2nd one turned up earlier than expected (like a few days later)

Got a black ano ltd pro 29 hardtail thats been in for weeks. I like this bike a lot for under a grand.

I used aquasure on the weak points in the groin of my lightweight waterproof shorts and it holds them together really well. They were about to burst open so a dollop in and around the stitching has stopped the problem in its tracks.

I`m sure some folk on here admit to doing things incorrectly just to start arguements.

I`m off out on the bike, i know how this thread will end up so enjoy the sunshine (through your window)

So if you go replacing bars on a lightweight stem half a dozen times in its lifetime, without knowing what torque the bolts are upto, you dont mind hammering down a trail after gradually stressing the alloy threads each time you altered things up front? Maybe they were under torqued (fine if the bars never slipped) or maybe you are more heavy on the bolt tightening than you might think.

    Enjoy the next ride ;O)

Sober up and come back if you want to talk bikes. If not, do one ;O)

Yes lol.. but with what we saw by arriving at the wrong moment and witnessing the video and the other images, people would never give a true rorchachy ink blot-style test anyway.

James posted sweet images of cuddly cute animals that tapered off near the end with two animals, one on top of the other… followed by the mouse with its face in its groin.

After seeing the guy bending over in the pic, the “mouse blowing itself” pic throws you back on the wrong path and NO ink blot test after witnessing the other thread minutes before would ever give a true reading. ;o)

We have been scarred. So badly that even the white seals eyes appear real sexy ;O)

I wasnt paying attention when you brought it along. I didnt realize or even click that it was a 29er!

It looks really good in the pic. Nothing looks wrong about it. Nothing worse than having a bike that has something about it that bugs ya just by looking at it..before you even ride it ;O)

Saleem, do you remember riding over to Munlochy bay to try and find the cave? We rode through a field of rapeseed and arrived home yellow! Hummin o the stuff. I would have guessed 93.

Did you ever ride out past that loch lundie to the bay,Jim? Great rope swing on a tree (even for adults, its that high!)

If you want good riding on your doorstep… Don’t live in a city.

So with those pics taken from rides leaving the house, where should i move to then? ;O)

Jim,yeah Ord Hill is rooty and also rocky with not only a good track skirting around it for xc training (used that in the 90s loop after loop!) and really good short climbs and descents. Dog shit can be a bit of a pain in this day and age along with logs placed across trails.

Craig Phadraig is good too. Its recently been cleared up the top giving nice views. It used to always be sheltered with trees but now you can look up the Beauly Firth towards Contin.

As for the mast, check out descent world/scottish scene No2 (i think)for DH action within 2 miles from the city centre.

If anyone plans to move to another location and counts this area out because theres no decent jobs, then its probably worth staying in the bigger city to be honest. ;O)

Well here goes!.. I reckon the problem is something that folk dont talk about,or really know if they are keeping on top of it or not.

The amount of bikes with disc brakes i have worked on with either one pad dragging or both dragging,or maybe a tweaked rotor thrown in really amazes me.

Wheres Biff? After he fitted some pads in his bb7s i would bet that he (after he backed them off ;O)) used no more than 2 sets of pads throughout the race (god, please dont turn up and tell us you used 8 sets! haha)

Anyways, heres a pair of Hope pads removed on saturday night at the Puffer. Destroyed by mud, grit, disc and last but not least.. pistons! ( i wish i had a piston resetting tool that night amongst other tools that were forgotten <sigh>)

lol hadge. Failed on the first descent!
Well i bled it once and the lever felt good (better than the marta calliper lol) so i might fit it tomorrow night. Its going on the flux as i tried a few times to source a post mount marta for the rear but nothing turned up. They retail about 80 quid so when i was spending vouchers on crc i decided not to buy a pair of shimano pads for the other bike.. but to buy a whole calliper for something like an extra £10! If it works fine for an xc bike on the rear then i`ll be happy enough.

Epicy,it might break ;O) I have a pic of you at the puffer taken around 1am dibbing yer tag. I will post it up soonish.
