Thanks Houns, that’s what I was after.

I’ve mentioned it to them in the past and been told bikes aren’t allowed in the office as it could set a “precedent”, been offered some space around the back of the office where all the smokers congregate, but there is about a 2inch pile of discarded fag ends around there so I get the feeling any bike left locked up would just get fag ends thrown at it all day long.

Mortgage moves to 4.99% standard variable after offer finishes. We currently on 6.25%. Basically we've been getting mugged for the past 2 years whilst all the tracker customers have been having the life of riley :-)

But we've just got an agreement in principle with First direct for variable @ 2.39% with £99 arrangement fee. Thought that was ok.

    Ok thanks for that.

I'll check those things that you mentioned. Maybe I should just ride more.

Think I paid about £60 for mine from Merlin. Got fed up with bike hitting me on the head whilst adjusting stuff. Stand makes things a lot easier from my limited experience, can't believe I put buying one as as long as I did.

There isn't loads of drag, just enough to stop the wheel when it's spinning really slowly.

    The brakes are deore 595.

When you say "light lube" do you mean wd40 or is that really bad? Suppose I can use the mineral oil from the bleed kit that I've just bought.

The brakes are only a couple of months old, and I remember when I fitted them one of the pads was rubbing on the rotor, I tried to move the caliper over as far as it will possibly go, but it still rubs. The Rotors are brand new so I don't think that they are bent.

So it looks like a sticking piston maybe?

    Oh great. :-)

Should have asked question on here before I went and bought a bleed kit. Doh!

Anyone know how to free a sticking piston if that's the problem?

Ok will try a bit of oil in there and see how it goes.
    Ta.

Not noticed any play. Haven't got the tools, never bothered buying them as thought the amount of times that I would use them would just be cheaper to pay someone else to do it.

I've never attempted any sort of building work before, so a little bit wary. Having a go on a test wall would be a good idea I think.

We camped at Trenance holiday park, we like it because you can walk into Newquay from the site and can also walk to all the beaches. Fistral is a bit of a walk but we learned to surf on Great Western which is easy to walk to from the campsite plus the waves are a bit more learner friendly there is a surf school down there called Reef, they seemed to be one of the cheaper ones as well, we liked the campsite because you can park the car when you get there and never have to drive anywhere all weekend, so you can have a drink in the centre of Newquay and then just walk back.

Meat and Potato rules the roost here in Wigan. Never really been a fan. More a chunky steak fan myself.

To be honest I don't really notice it when I lock the fork out as it seems to feel the same as when it isn't locked out if you know what I mean.

There has been a couple of occasions where I've looked down and seen that the fork is allegedly locked out but I haven't noticed.

How much is just a bit, are we talking centimetres or more? Mine seem to move a lot as in about about a quarter of the travel at least.

iPlayer will be streaming it live.

If you can't get iPlayer try http://www.tvcatchup.com, not sure if this UK only or not.

Excellent site with loads of channels, I'll be trying this if iPlayer lets me down.

They wouldn't be able to detect you from the street. The BBC would know which IP addresses are logged on to iPlayer, but they would have to contact your ISP to get your address then cross-match it against the TV licence database. Least I think this is what they would have to do.

I don't think there is anyway they are going to able to do this. Not worth the effort.

This might be all irrelevant anyway as half of the population of England will be trying to get onto iPlayer at 3pm, be very surprised if it manages to cope with the demand.

If you work for a large company, then there is a chance that the network admins could be keeping an eye on the internet logs and they will know if you are watching iplayer. More chance of getting caught internally by the IT manager than the TV licence people I would have thought.

martinm116 – what part of the IT are you working in? It might be quite important to me shortly. Contract or Perm?

work as Perm, can't be arsed with contracting, loads of hassle with working under umbrella companies or getting an accountant etc.

Work in .Net dev so plenty of work around at the moment.

Got laid off twice, only out of work for about 2 days each time though as work in IT so plenty of jobs for my skills. Been lucky in that respect. Not had any bonuses or pay rises though in while.
On a fixed mortgage so haven't benefited from interest rates yet. Due to re-mortgage in next couple of months, so got a decision about fixed or tracking our mortgage. Hopefully will be able to cut payments by a bit.
Things haven't been bad though, wife is preggers due in November so plenty to look forward to.

I prefer Picasa at the moment due to just having more experience with it, I like the that it automatically picks out faces and the link up with google maps.

Flickr seems to give you more storage for your money think it's about $24 per year for unlimited storage, whereas google think you pay different amounts depending on size of storage.

so does that mean I need if I wanted to use a 160mm rear adapter on the front it would require a 180mm rotor, and vice versa, or have a misunderstood?

Yeah noticed there was some extra bits and bobs in the box.

Is it easy to get the olive and barbed insert onto the newly cut hose? lots of people seem to be using a vice to clamp the hose, which I haven't got.

Excellent. Didn't think it was an option to cut the hose still with fluid in the system. :-)
