I’ve got one. It is wide, but like the enduromatic it’s designed to be adaptable to a wide range of sizes. The extra pads provided allow you to tweak it to your size. It does take a bit of faffing to get it just right though.

I thought it was a B17 I just saw overhead. Thanks for confirming it.

    Just looked at the website

If all you want to do is finish it’s not about the training, it’s about being able to ignore that little voice in your head that after 4 hours starts to question why started. That and eating/drinking enough

Glad I was shown the short cut from 3 to 4 today. Great weekend’s riding and racing.

At 6′ 4″ I was borderline and got the 24″ but I know another rider of the same height who is happy with his 23″

The thing to remember with the spaceframe is that the ETT is highly dependent on seat height. If your leg length is significantly disproportionate to your torso length then you might find it a bit short

Pop into their shop in Soller and I’m sure they’ll help you find some routes. MTB is often steep and rocky, road is just steep

Seems like a long tie since getting covered in mud at Ae. Missed Kielder and Inners but back for this one. Hoping the rain on Sunday arrives late.

No. 736 and trying not to be slowest qualifier in I’d geezers this time

Just did bottles last year. Much more plesant than wearing a Camelback for 12 hours

Gossamer Gear had The One which was incredibly light but seem to have stopped making it due to ‘fabric issues’. Take a look at Six Moon Designs Lunar One and Skyscapes for something similar.

Mr Wiles I suggest you try a Tracer 29. Definitely not XC

All depends what you want from a 29er FS. I know that personally I don’t want a XC or endurance racer. My hardtail is fine for that. There are a few 120/130mm ones, like the Rocky, Norco Shinobi orTurner Sultan which get good reviews and are definitely worth consideration if you want a burlier bike. I’m sure the Kona will fall in to this category too.

I want something bigger though, so I’m selling my Turner and getting an Intense. Now all I need is a 29er 160mm fork but I might have to wait until Rockshox let it out of testing.

Come to think of it, didn’t we meet up a couple of years ago at Swinley? Happy to renew the acquaintance

Like Clink I have owned a Paradox and a Yelli.

I find the Yelli a better fit ( I’m 6′ 4″ and the Yelli is a large ), really like the standover, love the slacker head angle and it lighter. Really wish it had ISCG tabs like the Paradox

They are both great bikes and the Paradox is available and cheaper.

If you’re anywhere near Reading you’re welcome to try the Yelli

In Leogang the difference between Gee and Gwin could easily have been the tyre choice – wet vs dry

There’s the romantic answer and the practical answer.

The romantic answer needs no explanation although as some have mentioned, it can be mean more to one partner than the other.

The practical answer is that it is legally simpler in times of crisis. You are each others next of kin without further complication. One dies, the money is instantly available to the other; one is in a coma the other has the decision making power (including the life support decisions). If you aren’t married then you need to make legal arrangements for these conditions and there’s a good chance you haven’t.

My 20mm axle wheel is still available. Lovely wheel but not so cheap. Open to reasonable offers though.

You could try the Skyfire app, that’s supposed to do Flash video but I wouldn’t hold out much hope. Free caster need to get an app out themselves, that’s what everyone else has done

Looks good apart from the head angle. They’ve gone to all the trouble of a short zs compatible head tube allowing the bars to be at a reasonable height and you’ve gone and added all those spacers ;)

Is that Reba set to 100 travel?

I’m not going either. Had my fill of Kielder for a while and had to give one of the northern rounds a miss.

    Hope to make Innerleithen though

I’ve tried the Tallboy but didn’t like it either. For me it was less a fun bike and more an XC racer, certainly different than The more you ride 29ers the less steering and more body you use. For most people a day just isnt enough to make this change.

If you want to try a 29er hardtail and are down Swiney way let me know. I’m 6′ 4″ too so have a couple of the right size.

Lets be honest, if you have one of the few 29ers that can have a tapered headtube you probably have a tapered fork

    martinh

First year I did it with front suspension, second with rigid. Both were fine but suspension was less physically demanding. If rigid is what you ride all the time you’ll be OK

The midges were much worse at the second attempt but that was only when we’d finished so I dont think it was fork related.

Sold a laptop to Italy via ebay once, never again. Went missing after the first attempted delivery, then googled mail to Italy. The recipient was unbelievably quick and aggressive with the “it’s lost” emails. My guess is that the postie and he split the refund between them. Luckily I had it insured. Never again
