Musical Fidelity EB50s come with more earbud shapes and sizes then you can imagine and are exceptional. Musical Fidelity have just released an over ear headphone too which have to be worth a look/listen

    Gears on a Jones? Sacrilege.

(Mine doesn’t have a rear hanger or cable guides so I can’t succumb at weaker moments)

I’ll have to look out for the books Trevron73 mentioned my current favourite is Advanced Bread and Pastry by Michel Saus

$150 shipping. Don’t think I’ll mention how much duty I paid in a public forum

I currently ride a Ti Jones and a Chromag Surface. I find the Surface a smoother ride than the Jones

Ah, ok. So none of them have a HA I’d consider on a trail bike

Why is that only the small Sync have what I’d consider a sensible HA?

Get yourself a steel trail bike Matt, more comfy than a Yelli and bigger choice than a Ti

Happy to meet up in those Surrey Hills if you want to try one

Just been through a similar search and ended up with some Thomson DH bars (780 but cut down to 760). All of their new range have a gentle 6 degree backsweep

Another £17.50 here. No other choice for a SRAM spiderless 30T.

Really like mine except for the rear end cap coming loose. Hoping the replacement axle fixes it. The axles from the 2014 are supposed to be freely available to purchasers of the 2012/13 wheels

Just finished my first ride with my Wolf now that I’ve given up on the POS that was my Absolute Black. I gave it hell, fast and rooty, berms, slow and rooty, nothing phased it. The chain stayed put. Count me a satisfied customer

From a Pinkbike post by Tehan announcing the spiderless rings

“The ultimate solution for Sram cranks that feature a removable spider. Spiderless chainrings allow for flawless single speed or Sram 1×9/10/11 drivetrain setup.

Chainring tooths optimized for great chain retention while riding in rough terrain!. In almost all cases chainkeeper is not necessary. Tooth profile is directional, that means it will keep your chain on, even when back pedaling on descent.”

Don’t think I misread anything, I think claims were made that reality has proven inaccurate

80mm or rear travel because with the split pivot you don’t need 100mm – thats a good one

I dont class the Swinley Blue or Red as particularly aggressive and my spiderless has been losing it on these. Come on Works get the spiderless sorted

If you’re looking to have fun then any bike will do.

I’ve not ridden QECP but I know that I’d not be able to peddle fast enough on my SS at some of the UKGE events. I had to peddle like a crazy in the smallest gear on my 1×10 last year at Inners and even then I don’t think I was going fast enough. But if its muddy you might be at an advantage

I always wear kneed pads for enduro, too many roots, trees and rocks for my ageing body.

Yes, running a clutch rear mech. Have to pop over to pink bike

Lost the chain three times with my new Absolute Black. Giving it the benefit of the doubt and trying a different chain, before I succumb to the inevitable and buy a Wolf

After two plates, a pin and a severe warning from the consultant, breaking mine again is not something I want to happen. I now railways wear an Allsports Dynamics Wrist Brace. Might seem expensive but compared to bike parts or doing it again its worth considering. I could only find positive comments anywhere on the web.

Good luck with the recuperation, it progresses faster than you think it.

Steel, as playful and rideable as a Yelli but not twice as heavy.

    No, it’s not mine.

Just be riding style and rider weight. The only time I noticed a slight collapse under cornering was when weighting the the front whilst pedalling out of the saddle round a tight uphill switchback.

I’ve been running a Knard on a p35 for a while. As stu says, it’s nothing like any other 29er tyre. It runs well on the P35 and isn’t too hard to inflate tubeless. Highly recommended. I was running around 12psi

Finally got my rabbit hole fitted today and i have to disagree with Futon, there is a marked difference between it and the p35. At the same pressure it is more supple as well as allowing you to run lower pressures . It was really easy to install tubeless with two wraps of Gorilla tape. Took it out for a spin this afternoon an played around with the pressure. I was down to around 10psi at the the end of the ride and loving it

Really glad it fits in an old style truss

For Swinley a short travel FS would be ideal. Something like a Scott Spark, but definitely try lower pressures first. Swinley Red is fine on a hardtail with the right pressure but if you’re after more speed & comfort then short travel FS is the way to go.

I’m 6′ 4″ and have the 24″ Merlin version, others at my exact same height have the 23. In retrospect I think I could have gotten away with the 23 too although I think Jeff says they’re for those upto 6′ 2″
