Three episodes in so far. So far, so good. One of the few Netflix series that has lived up to the hype.

The rain had stopped but the ride home was 19 miles of sea spray and the low cloud. Clothes were very wet but at least it wasn’t cold

I’ve been riding a rigid bike for the last 9 or 10 years. I’ve had other hardtails and the occasional full sus but keep coming back to the rigid. While suspension helps with high speed technical descending i love the accuracy and weight of rigid fork. I now have two rigid bikes. I’m also in the ‘older rider’ category and have previously broken my wrists and ride without pain.

Its not for everyone, but I love them

Futon is right, i have both a Ti Spaceframe and a Plus in the larger size. My Spaceframe has the old narrower truss which limits my tire choice. I find the Plus a better all round bike then the Spacey. It has more luggage space, is smoother and roomier for long rides and more planted, more stable and slacker for technical singletrack fun. The Spaceframe feels more like an XC racer in comparison. My Ti Spaceframe with normal size 29er tyres feels like it weighs nothing compared to the big rubbered, steel Plus.

My Spaceframe has been singlespeed for all of it’s 8 years and I’d expected to run the Plus that way too. However I couldn’t find the right compromise gear. I’ll be giving it another go this year.

Futon, I dont mind rain, mud or night riding but i struggle to find motivation in winter when irs all three. I’ll make a Stanmer Thursday ride again soon.

I’ve been riding my Plus exclusively for the last month. Riding the Spaceframe yesterday it felt short and twitchy.

There’s not a lot of it, but there are some good offroad routes through the sugar cane. If you’re on Facebook check out https://www.facebook.com/MountainBikeBarbados

Not ridden a Krampus but I really like my Plus. I’m 6′ 4″ and had doubts about the 25″ but needn’t have. It performs well on twisty single track and excels on the downhills and the tech stuff.

Nearly 8 years with a Ti Jones Spaceframe, 6 months with a Stooge and 6 months with a Jones Plus.

For comfort the Plus wins hands down, as it does for downhill mayhem. It’s as close to an AM rigid hardtail as you can find. However even after 10 years of singlespeeding i prefer gears on the Plus.

For popping off every lip, rock or root the Stooge is good. Its a fun ride at a great price. Bar choice on a Stooge makes a big difference and I think the Mk 2 option of running a 27.5+ at the back will help smooth things out.

The Spaceframe is just a great singlespeed all rounder. I know the steel Spaceframe will be heavier than my Ti but the handling and on the bike must be similar. The truss fork is a winner too.

    Now go and ride them

I have the older narrower truss fork and while the Knard fitted it was a close fit. The Fat B Nimble has masses of clearance and a very sticky compound

Yes the Fatsno can take a thru-axle. Like most Hope hubs it has various switchable endcaps which is lucky as the Plus wants a 142×15 not a 135×15.

Not really had the urge to put a Fat Front on the Plus as it would lower and marginally steepen it. I’ve run a 29+ on my Spaceframe (can’t run fat, old truss fork) and while it smooths out some of the trail the rest of the bike is so different. It’s not an easy comparison.

I’ve not found any problems with traction running a 70mm stem and 710s. I run a 90 with narrow bars on my Spaceframe and that feels right too.

Clink, I went with the Hope Fatsno front hub rather than the more expensive Jones one

I’m 6′ 4″ with a 25″ Plus. Spent a long time talking to Jeff about 24 vs 25 and am very happy with the 25. I was concerned that as gil said, that it was meant for carrying more stuff. But its not, its meant for going faster. As an existing Jones owner and 29+ dabbler it rides exactly as I’d hoped. I’m still getting used to just how fast this bike can go and still be confidence inspiring.

Currently running a 70mm stem with Hbars but want try something a little shorter. I run no spacers under the stem. Currently running Chronicles on Light Bicycle rims.

That GTech looks handy. I’m going to have several hedges and trees to get into shape in the next garden. £100 seems like a reasonable investment

Thought it looked bigger than my rear, which is a DHR on a p35. Great tyre and yes you have even less clearance than me. Its good to know it fits as I have an idea…

If there was one tweak Id make it would be 44mm headtube. It would allow a much wider range if carbon forks and with the right headset it would still allow the standard 1.125 steel fork

Both my wife and I laid low with it since Christmas Eve. IF it is a cold it is a pretty bad one. No appetite, no riding, no fun.

I have a 160 on the back but the had to use a Hope adapter rather than the Formula one. The result is an imperfectly positioned brake that squeals. Now I get told to put a 180 there
