Ive got my Alfine 8 ona Singular Swift, which has seen untroubled service for the last 3 years. Ive specced the Cogs to be 34(wonky ring at the front) to 18, as I found I was spinning out too much at the top end. Changing the Alfine cog is just over £5 so easy to change as necessary to suit

Im shocked people actually link their bank accout to Paypal
Have you read the terms and conditions?

Why would you surrender control of your own bank account?
A quick google of ‘Paypal Horror Stories’ should give you enough reading material from now until next Christmas

For growing kids, I’ve found the decathlon wetsuits pretty good in terms of cost v performance
They also dry quick which is a bonus

Ok so you’re riding in the ‘Gorms (likely without any mobile coverage) with your wee spot tracker on and Wifey watching you inch your way through the hills. Then you stop for lunch, then you have a mechanical. Nothing wrong you just end up stopping for a while. At what point does she call out the MRT?

Did the Inner Cairngom Loop (Lairig an Laoigh) a couple of weeks ago and there was very little coverage all the way round
Spot trackers would be of use – I dont have one (yet) but believe there is a help button – Wifey would need instructing not to panic until a help message came through

    A European Swallow
    What’s it’s ground speed?

Is that laden (with Coconut) or unladen?

Ah but if you heat them quick, with a lid on they will need stirred.
To stir them you will need to remove the lid, so its less effective
Stirring however will increase the heat transfer rate as the beans are moving and will also even out the hot spots next to the pan bottom

Was driving along in the car and Mrs B asked me. Is there a car called a ‘Vauxhall Rover?’
Turns out she was listening to a song on the radio …. ‘Funk Soul Brother’

Sean Connery bought me a pint 🙂

He was in Edinburgh to get presented with the key to the city
I was in the ‘Auld Clachan’ pub in Fountainbridge, with my Ex, when he walked in
Unbeknown to me was that the Ex’s dad used to deliver milk with Sean when he lived round the corner
He recognised her, came over and we had a chat over a drink. Nice bloke
    Very surreal encounter

I would lay some cross struts (using your 4×2) to raise the board platform height(would put them across the joists)
Then get some insulation board like Kingspan (high rating but thinner) and cut to size to fit inbetween the cross struts
Use the money you save on the wicks platform stuff to justtify the extra spend on the Kinspan. Should do the job nicely 🙂

Love my Swift, such a versatile frame will do almost every set up you want.
I had it SS, now it’s got an Alfine 8, rigid? or bouncy front … You choose.
Great for bike packing and does everything I ask of it and more
