I'd go XT and 717's every time – My crosslands had a few issues with them and a good handbuilt set of wheels will be more servicable.

It certainly made me jump, and I was nowhere inside the car! Schumi just doesn't know when to stop cutting people up.

He knew the game was up when he started that move and was pretty quiet in his defence of it which said he knew he'd done wrong to me.

I think the 60t one will do as long as it's sharp – remember to always push the saw into the face that will remain visible, any tear off of the laminate that happens will occur on the other side.

Just take it as slow as you can go, I did a few long cuts on mine for filler panels and it frustaringly slow, but still quicker than going to buy a new piece to start again with.

I've just bought an FSA integrated geadset for my Vertex – there are many variables, I figured out that I needed a 45/45 degree with 42mm ID. Now there 36/45 and all manner of diameter – took me about 2 weeks to find a good one at a good price – got it from Merlin for £15 (FSA Orbit CE) although it' s 36/45 they've just sent, so currently have the wrong version!

We've had a Hoover one for 10 years and it's been okay – I think the trick is to get the get the clothes out as soon as it stops and hang them up – this allows any remaining moisture to evaporate outside of the machine. It'll do shirts etc no problem, only heavyweight things (towels etc) need the above treatment – I'd say go for one over just a washing machine, ours has been on probably once a day for the past 3 years!

No effect on mine if it's just me and one bike – I think the extra weight of additional bikes and passengers has more effect than the drag on the back of the car.

The wirings pretty easy – the kits usually come with instructions on colour coding on the car loom and they just use scotchclips to connect the towbar socket. If you get stuck they usually have a very knowledgable person on the other end of a helpline.

    Lol @ Samurai

Just leave the bike outside in the biblical rainstorms, best if upside down IME, my car's certainly looking cleaner after the last 3 days of driving.

I'm camping this weekend so I fully expect the reservoiras to get a good topping up over Saturday and Sunday.

I'm running an FSA Orbit Z 1.5r – it's like an internal headset so very little stack height.

Have a look at BBB stems – I've just bought one for £33 and it's a fair bit lighter than the EA50 it replaced. Mine was white, dunno if it comes in black though…

Sounds bad considering the age of the bike – I'd say a defective paint job. I've had it happen on one of my bikes but after 6 years of winter riding and hosing down….and in more vulnerable areas such as around the BB and bottle bosses.

Torque's where it's at for the motorway's – if I can't have it in V8 flavour then it'll have to be in diesel form, so that's why I'm currently driving a diesel Volvo…….bought it when I was 30, so I guess the middle age entry point is lowering

It was pretty boring though, Webbo's flypast was the most 'entertaining' part, although I thought he was gonna geet seriously hurt when it happened, thankfully not though.

No – no one has ever gotten their points back after a clarification to the rules and/or changes to them.

Besides, I think he should have had another penalty after his atrocious driving in Canada :D

We've just used our Coleman Riverside for the first time at Mayhem, disregarding the break whilst it was peeing it down, I reckon it took about 25 minutes to get up, including untying the new guys and inserting the rooms, that has one more pole than the one you're looking at. It all packed up as one so it's just a case of firing the poles in next time, so it should be a lot quicker. Plenty of headroom, even at 6'3", I looked at the pop up tents as I like my Khyam Igloo, but the big Khyams were expensive and the other cheaper makes seemed short on headroom.

Good vibrations by Tom Cunliffe – taking a couple of Harley's across the states.

Didn't realise it was the same bloke who likes the boats on TV until I just looked it up to check the author.

Tony Hawks books are pretty good for a laugh, any Bill Bryson (Walk in teh woods is one of my fave's)

I think they'll do it, if someone gets upset by it, I don't know why

On the plus side they'll also raise the profile of the great divide race and all those athletes that have/are undertaking it. How many members of Joe Public have an idea that such a race exists?

I personally think the Rocky's worth it – yes it's a lot of cash, but it's personally the best bike I've ever owned and ridden.

It's all down to personal taste. I think the OO is okay, but it's a different beast to the Vertex, designed for somewhat more abuse, hence the larger sections all over.

I think those actionsports hubs are like my A2Z hubs – the front one certainly looks like a dead ringer but the rear is slightly different. No problems with mine – light hubs – I'm using them in conjunction with 717's and DT Comps and the set comes in at 1650g – could obviously go lighter using Stans rims but I wanted silver rims…

Took mine over 10 years ago and I went with BA – I don't recall having to pay anything extra but I came in under total baggage allowance includding the bike (I think it was a 30kg allowance then)

Clean it scrupulously though – I had to scrub my tyres when I landed there – the options were do that or send the bike away for a few days and pay lots of money!

I've had some M161's for a few months now and I'm really happy with them. Previously had some Sidi Dominators and they're as comfy as those were on the bike but more comfortable for walking/running than the Sidi's ever were. Really stiff sole but some good cushioning in them for walking.

Standing up to the crap really well so far they clean up a treat and they're far better made than previous Shimano shoes I've had – I suspect they'll last a long time…

I think a lot of early 90's cannondale stuff such as the super V and then the Raven showed the way foprwards for quite a few years.
