Easton wheelset, freehub issues 😥

Fault on my fork was that they more or less seized up. they did lose pressure but not much.
After 2 rides there was a grey film on the stantions which was hard to rub off, i’d clean them up & squirt some silicon lube on them but after the next ride they would seized up again. Replacement fork has been fantastic in comparison.
Did get fobbed off a bit by Halfords a bit, stuff about running the right pressure in them blah blah blah but got there in the end, you just have to dig in and be a ****, they cave in the end.

I’ve got one, i’ve also had to have replacement forks under warranty but the second pair have been faultless.
So far i’ve replaced the bars (gone up to 710mm width) and replaced the Chainset and gone to 1 X 10 with the gearing. Got news wheels for it to but haven’t fitted them yet. I’m not throwing big money at it but it is one of those bikes you don’t mind spending on as parts wear out because its so good.

Sounds like you’re aware that big bills might come your way, which is good cause they probably will and as regards bike racks, forget it. I used to disassemble my bike, wheels in the boot ( turf the space saver out and even then only 26″ wheels would fit) the bike itself on passenger seat that i covered with a dust sheet first and secured with the safety belt.
You’ll have loads of fun!

Any xc rider who shows promise seems to go over to road racing and i guess thats because you can make good money there…

Your living room is possibly going to be the warmest room in the house (people, tv in there) stat cuts down when it senses the temp in there, so the rest of the house goes cooler, so yeah the getting the stat out of there will help and with the hive stat you could move it around the house till you find where it works best for you which you can with most wireless stats but with hive you can use your laptop & smart phone to control the heating to which can be useful 😉

Behave Inkster, Ukip my arse, its about who you feel some sort of connection to for most of us. I’ll be supporting Dan Martin myself. He was born not far from where i live and i don’t really care if rides under the Irish flag like a lot of Kenyans probably don’t care that Froome rides under a British one. Also if anyone deserves to do well in the Tour its him after all the bad luck he’s had so far this year, Come on Dan!

I ran one for nearly three years, a 2.7 built in 1999. had to do a bit of work on the suspension but other than that it trouble free. They do cost a lot to run though, even if nothing goes wrong but on the other hand cheap to buy. Lovely car to drive 😀

Roger, as much as i enjoyed Red Riding it did seem a bit to wilfully obscure at times.

Got a Bizango ten days ago. Several rides around the trail centres in north Wales and its back at Halfords as the forks no longer do what they should do. In fact on the third ride out they became very unresponsive. The tech guy thinks its because there isn’t enough air in them “its only got 80psi in” ( i still think they should do something with 80 psi in) i explained they had 110 psi a couple of days ago, they haven’t got back to me yet. Early days I know but its such a shame as it really is a stonking bike when the forks are working.
But i know other people who have them and have had no problems 😕

I’d never been before so had no idea what it was like but will be returning.
Didn’t actually do the enduro though, failed to get in but my friends who did seemed to enjoy it 🙂
