Me and my mate Rob invented mountain biking on Cannock chase in 1975. FACT!

Albert Hall. Laughed in his face when introduced to him thinking it was a joke, paid a heavy price as he became my manager eventually…

I did my Cambers bearings not long ago, the ones above the bottom bracket can be tricky to remove. If your bike shop will do for forty quid i’d snap their hands off.

Yeah, i’m with Nobeerinthefridge, a motion sensitive camera but with a feed to MOD, linked a missile launch system to take the bastards out.
Just a small missile, not a nuke.

I saw them 3 years ago, they were good. Mark hid behind the drummer for a song or two half way through the gig but other than that there were no ‘moments’.
They’re on at the Assembly in Leamington soon, was thinking go going..

I’m running a 29er carbon Cube hardtail with rigid carbon forks, Schwarble Hurricane tyres on it and on gravel/ fire roads/ canal towpaths/ roads none of my other bikes would see which way it went.

Haven’t read all the posts so shoot me if some else has said this but, sell the houses of parliament off instead of rebuilding it (approx 5billion cost to rebuild) Find an empty office block (doesn’t really matter where, Its a connected world!) and move all muppets, sorry M.Ps and their staff out there and spend money saved, plus what we’d get for selling Westminster on NHS.
    Its a start.

When I had a Specialised bike as an insurance replacement it came with a few minor faults that I thought the local Spesh’ concept store would sort out for me…they could but would have to charge me and then I’d have to claim the money back from the provider of the bike. I misunderstood the concept of the er… concept store, as quite rightly pointed out they are stand alone businesses not an all embracing Specialised brand service provider, at least for faults on a new bike. I think they should drop the ‘Concept’ tag because it gives the wrong impression of Specialised ownership of the stores.
    Nice bikes though.

Just looking at those handlebar positions and I can feel myself flying through the air high above the the bars wondering how much the impact with the ground is going hurt… 😆

7/10. Pretty average for a nordic/scandi cop drama. That Icelandic one with the big boned fella (did you spot him in the missing?) was much better imho 😉

The reason I stopped riding on the road was after being knocked off by a hit & run driver, loss of confidence followed so stuck to mountain bike afterwards. That happened at 8am on a sunny summer sunday morning so the timing of going for a ride seems a bit arbitrary… but it was a mid afternoon ride, suburb/countryside ride that made me start this thread.

Heard on Heart radio this ad for care homes ‘We take care of your elderly loved ones so you don’t have to’.
I quite liked it but direct approach not for everyone I guess as I only heard it the once…

Got an Enduro 650 comp and no matter where i’ve ridden it i’ve enjoyed it. From Antur stiniog to the Peak district to Cannock Chase and lots of other places it works really well. Its not big on character and for some that might be an issue but not for me.

Very happy with my Stanton Sherpa, great allrounder nothing seems to faze it. I’ve ridden a Solaris only once, felt more of an xc machine than the Sherpa, nice bike though.

You can get shorts with padding on the hip. This doesn’t help with the initial issue but does help with the pain/injury that can come with it…

I really enjoyed this event again, of its type i think you’d be hard pushed to find much better.
Well organised, friendly, great scenery and some of the best trails in north wales, what more could you reasonably ask for?
    Happy 25th CYB!

We used to have that stuff in our works store, it was a ‘consumable’. One of the fitters decorated his flat with it 😯
