Thanks guys, yes mileage will be the sticking point… the GTECH is £1K but limits itself to 30miles. The Gocycle is £3.5K which is little steep especially if comments above are right with the cold and wet (i think they are)!

My planned ride is pretty flat and along canal paths or county roads. But a bit worried that if the battery looses some of its efficiency at 30 miles i could be heaving a lump for a couple of miles!

Does anyone have any experience of chipping the bikes to exceed the 15mph? That could make things a lot more interesting on the country roads!

shouldn’t we be boycotting a company that imposes such poor working conditions on its staff

if we were to do this we would be restricted by a great deal… Apple products made in China (most chinese products possibly?), clothes in SE asia, coffee from S.America or Africa etc….

This really is a good game – its unlike COD and any other game where you just fire aimlessly and have unlimited repsawns…. in this game you can kill your own guys and even yourself by falling off a building….. with no new lives its a little frustrating

I think frustrating and exciting are good words for this game…… if you die early then its frustrating but as long as you chat with your team mates its quite a good laugh….. the waiting for the attackers when defending is exciting as there are multiple entry routes and you dont know which one to cover…….

Buy it… its the thinking mans CoD!

Initial play is quite good. The scenarios are tricky but good and remind me of Rainbow 6: Las Vegas.

Multiplayer is strange…. its all a bit weird but exciting as you only have one life and no rejuvination of health….. this leads to some tense situation and lots of deaths for noobies like me.

On the plus side the, if you die you can have access to the cctv to warn your team mates….

I will play multiplayer more tonight with my brother…. so far 8/10 – great chance to have a laugh and work together as a team :)

In the full game its limited to certain bits you can destroy and no entry organisation or planning like the preview vids.

thats a bit pants – i liked the thought of a bit of strategy coupled with shooting the shit out of everything

it might have to be COD then!

I have been with Jedi (sounds dirty) and Tom at Chicksands. Jedi was good and I felt awesome afterwards but its a very knackering day and i forgot it all quite quickly. Tom is very good as I pay by the hour and so have short sharp training. Its useful to practice on the same trails and I have been taught on just to re-emphasie the training. Its also useful getting 2 hours training and then going back in a months time for 2 more hours to correct the things I am doing wrong and reinforce the good traits I have picked up,

If you can get training on trails you use frequently then give it a go.

Evoc +100. I had the same issue after buggering up a jump. and landing badly. Bought the evoc after thinking I was more likely to wear a back pack than a bespoke top – especially in the warmer weather. Survived the alps (seemed v. popular)

If you want XC trails riding around woburn then give Cyclone a try. They are a fun group with mixed abilities.

If you just want to jump and etc then me and some friends go to chicksands on a weds night and woburn on a sunday morning. We are not very good so if you want to feel good about your riding you are welcome to join in

Since I discovered at the weekend that my scumbag of a wife has been having an affair behind my back, I’m going on my own so if anyone else is in town give me a shout so I’m not Billy No Mates!

Should be in Les Gets with a couple of friends from the Evening of the 5th of July if you are about!

I grew up there and its pants. I left a long time ago and my friends who are still there complain bitterly about it (esp the town centre).

I do remember having a few beers around town then either going to the bank, brooklyn heights or Ritzys and then having to queue for a bloody long time at 1am for the taxis!

Cwmbran does have a more village feel about it if you keep to the suburbs!
