Are you sure that the frame is clean. Meths or IPA will work. As said warming the frame and the tape worked for me. Been on for 4 years now.

Another vote for the pie run, great little bit of trail. I just wish that there was more of it. It is a shame that the corners have been squared off on Zoom or Bust as that used to be better.

See the quack and get a qualified opinion. I did with similar and the dermatologist was not keen on Sudo cream. His comment was it has more preservative that anything else in it.

Let me take some of the Karma gods burden from you then. About 8 weeks regular use and no issues yet. Mine also came from Germany.

I thought about those Michelin tyres but then read lots of reviews calling them wild ‘slipper.

I think that there is a new version called Grip’R II. Not tried them mind.

I find the search function only ever throws up results for classifieds ads or nothing at all…

I have found using the advanced search function a better solution. There you can restrict it to forum and set a date range for instance.

We do frequently see the same question over and over though. Maybe a FAQ or a sticky as to how to post and search for 1st time posters may be helpful as a suggestion.

just a query on these, for those in the know- I find with regular SPD shoes the water often gets in through the bottom hole where the cleat fixing is.
I guess waterproof boots have a different detail there to avoid this?

Silicone is your friend. I have squirted some clear silicone up around where the plate from the inner is and then did the cleat up, copper ease on the bolts, and job done.

Have you and your dad spoken to Macmillan. I reckon that this would be a good call to make as they will be able to help through all the various stages.

The time of day is not relevant. 01:00, 13:00, 0r 18:00 a red is still a red. so it will be green coming the other way and someone could be coming through.

Sounds like the market for biodegradeable wrappers is wide open…

Don’t give them an excuse to drop them. Banana skins are biodegradable but take years to break down.

Any one been to Llandegala lately? It seem that it is the local competition top see how far from the trail you can throw you rubbish. The place is covered in gel wrappers, juice bottle, emery drink cans etc. It is a bit tip like to be honest.

I thought that this was going to be a thread about tubeless vs tubes.

I am moving to flats and have not had any major issues so far. I still have clips for the long 40-50 mile plus rides. I think I have become lazy with the feet being clipped in and that is why I am moving back to flats.

I had a creaking Trance and fitted Enduro Max bearings and it was great. Not ridden it in a while now though.

Good news all round for all of us I reckon. The fact that they have some perps in the frame for this is good. The bike may have been recovered or they will hopefully following the path to recover it.

Lets see how the story pans out and then what the justice system does. So far so good.

Some plastic overflow type pipe may be a little lighter and easier to sort that a block of wood. While you are at Bodgeit & Quit get some foam pipe insulation for the frame and stanchions as well.

3 years seems to be the view or a blow to the helmet.

Ultraviolet, heat/cold, sweat etc will all degrade the helmet over time.

If it is anything like the KS Lev remote you will find a small allan bolt in the KS clamp. Loosening this may be the answer.

It could have just been your time to puncture out. Murphy’s law say it happens when you do not have kit with you to sort it. As has been said check your tubes over to see how they failed. It could be that something was missed when previously fixed and or not enough air back in when it was fixed.

The benefit with tubeless is the faff is at home in your chosen time. Not at the side of the trail in fading light when it is chucking it down. I have had a range of tyres on various wheels and some are better than others but when you find what works it is good.

Feel for you. I have had tennis elbow for ages due to keyboard/mouse work. Numerous cortisone injections in to the elbow would help short term but soon wore off. They ended up doing a tendon release and that sorted it. All was good. Then the other arm started the same way. I went down a physio route this time and it worked a treat. Seems that tendons etc had shortened due to poor posture etc at computer. I still have some issues at the computer but it now does not interfere with bike riding nor does bike riding inflame it.

Memory map on smart phone ?

I do this with MMTracker and it works great. The only downside/word of warning is battery life. You will not run this all day on your phone from my experience. Excellent if you need to double check your location/get a ref.

Terrible news. Good luck with the old bill. Lets hope they get a result.
Not sure what else you could have done to have stopped them if that helps. They knew what was there and came prepared to get it.

    From Guardian article:

The website says that its fair and unbiased ratings system allows customers to select tradespeople independently.

Finding a good tradesman is never easy. These websites sell a service to the builder, gas fitter etc so they will do what ever to protect their customers. I am always very wary of such sites. As you have found what they promise and deliver do not seem to quite match.

As for your bolier man quoting inc VAT when it sounds like he may not even be registered. Is he Gas safe, was Corgi.

You would need to be able to get from the drop off point to the trail head. If you have not been there before this may be a challenge. Then there is the challenge of finding your mate at the bottom. Why not get dropped of at the chair/gondola lift while your mate chills for a while.

I have not done much of the Alps but Les Get springs to mind as a straight up and down. I am sure that there are many others How are you and your mate going to get back? It seems to be a bit of a trek for one run down the hill. May be better if you stayed for the day at least.

What is annoying is that the cafe does not open late at any time. You would think that a Friday night they would stay open for a few hrs more. There must be folk going up straight from work who would murder a cuppa and something at that time.

I think that they are trialling late opening on a Friday and Saturday night till 20:00. Not been up there that late to check for myself though.
