“What the ” is not naughty I can vouch for the rest though. Glad that you are okay, a bit more curly hair and some soiling I guess. 😀 Were the batteries plugged in at the time? They may have taken a surge in the failure as well.

Just a word of warning. Are you sure it is your bank/paypal that is calling? I am sure you know but never disclose any pins or card check codes over the phone.

Not had an issue yet with orders on Rose bikes myself.

MMtracker lets you use all you old .QCT memory map OS maps files so you do not need a 3G signal.

    ++ on what Pictonroad said.

Dead easy to wash a bike with a buck and sponge etc. Given that so much rainwater has been collected for the garden then run some of it off into a bucket and wash the bike etc. If you are bithcing and moaning now about not having water out of a hose pipe then what will happen when you have to get it from a bowser at the end of the road, if it ever gets that bad.

It is a preventative measure designed to help ensure that they can keep the water flowing for all. Work with them and not against them.

Yeah I know I am not affected by it now but have been in the same situation previously. Deal with it and work with what you have got. Sods law that as soon as the ban came into place it rained. It did that before as well and will do again I am sure.

What tyre pressure do you get the RR of 6.9?

Another vote for clutch release bearing. Get it replaced if / when you get the clutch replaced. Turning the radio up when cold will keep it sweet for many miles 😆 DMF as I recall would juder when pulling away cold.

I took some Spesh shoes in to get some of the sole re glued. Waste of time and money as it only lasted a couple of rides. Shortly after the other, non repaired shoe failed in the same way.

As has been said, Spooky is being fixed so may not be open. The date seems to keep moving, last sign I saw was 7th April. Maybe give the ranger a call before you head to GT to get the bottom line. I just checked the website and it still says Friday 30th.

If hills are not your thing then maybe miss out Pennel Vennel as that is a bit of a climb out.

+++++ agreed. Unbelievable how it can go so OT.

Hope the news is good for the fallen fellow rider.

Based on the signage I saw last week I think it was due to be opened next weekend. The place to get the full run down will be here:

    http://www.7stanesmountainbiking.com/Home#Glentress

It seems down at the moment so maybe it is being updated. I may be up there tomorrow/Friday so will post up if it is open this weekend.

I have to agree, how fast???. We may moan about the system here and I am not saying it is perfect but a lawyer takes the car away! not to tamper with the evidence or anything.

Here is hoping that justice is done but given the info at the moment I fear not.

I used a pair of side cutter pliers to grab hold of the pad locator bit in the middle to gently lever them out.

This is bad news based on my experience with Hayes 9. Assuming the same type of piston you run a real risk of breaking the pin off the piston. If you do then you need a new piston.

Best way is compressed air if you have it. If not then see if you can rig a track pump up to the open bleed valve.

2nd thing … Why the need to carry so much around such a short trail centre?
A tube, pump, chaintool & spare link … maybe bottle of water ..all easilly carried on bike or in pockets.

….and maybe a first aid kit.

If they are just making good an old track I do not think they would need planning permission. I have not been there so not sure what it was like before.

The tubeless liner was black plastic on mine, it may help to ID it. But as has been said the right tubeless rim strip rim, valve and some stans. No need to get UST tyres as a std tyre will work. Stans site has a list of those that have worked for them.

Good call on the Muc off, it does have a bit of a rep with anodising.

Has the frame been new and unused for all that time? The ano is still on my Heckler and it is used regular and is about 2009 vintage.

Shorter cranks and you would not have had the problem… 😆

Shame after the work of polishing up etc.

The trail side repair kits are for when the hole is too large for the sealant. Works a treat, used it to sort a cycle shop staff member out on the trail running tubeless that would not seal. Scarily they had not seen one before.

Have you still got the old cassette and chain? If so refit that and see what the affect is. Still an issue or not?

I have recently done similar and found the issue to be with the chainset. So it may be that the old chain was meshing well with the chainset as it was equally worn but now the new chain just does not fit.

I carry 2 and need to use one the other week. The valve was loose but I did not spot this until I had unseated the bead 👿 I normally end up lending them out to other though.

Hey that is awful news, bikes gone and scum in your house. I hope that the misses is able to calm down and no unplanned early arrivals. That cant be nice for her for sure. Good luck for 2 months time.

All the best on getting the bikes back.

It would be the width that would worry me. I reckon you will get the 28″ round the wheel okay but it is how thin that tube will be when it tries to fill a 2.4 tyre.

In my old engineering days the rule of thumb was the smaller the drill the faster rotational speed.

When you do put the new ones in do not forget the Copperease so you can get them out later.

Similar issue here on my swing arm. Same colour mind but not anodised. I got the newer style swing arm, new due to the fault I suffered, so I can’t complain really. It has been as good as gold since.

Some old blankets covering what is in the garage may be an idea. That way when you do open up not everything is on show.

Worth checking that you do not have to book a slot. Some rail companies do and some do not. When you do you get a free ticket for the bike. When you load your bike keep the aisle clear to keep the guard sweet.

It will help as it will pull some of your weight forward. The flip side is that your weight will still be pulled forward for the down hill, which probably will not help.

If that is all that you have to moan about then smile and be happy with your lot. People are people, some are nice and some are not. Enjoy times with the nice ones and ignore the others.

Expect problems if you do I reckon. Probably less hassle to order the right stuff and wait for that to arrive.

People never hear it or choose to ignore it. I give them a shout saying which side I will pass on “bike on the right” or similar. Mind you those with earphones in still fail to hear that so it becomes their look out as far as I am concerned.

+1 for disco brakes. Used em for a few years now and no issues.
