+1, I can only praise the lengths they go to to keep us lot happy. Will continue to buy hope whilst they keep up current levels of customner service.

Got both a scandal and a steel inbred in 29er flavour and they ride pretty much the same. Scandal frame is for sale though, the Ti29er deal on at the moment was just too tempting..

I would of done when she looked like the photo above but definately not now. But I would have given her my mates telephone number and name to save my rabbits from the pot!

I own 2 29ers and a 26er and can see the advantages of both sizes. On the open flowing trails the 29er is without doubt a fair bit faster (getting scientific here!!) but as soon as you get into the tight and twisty stuff the 26er beats it hands down on the ability tturn quicker. I predict both sizes will carry on for a long time without being killed off.
Think about how many bikes are made in the world, the high end stuff (which includes 29ers as they are still fairly specilist kit)must account for a very low % figure of all bikes sold, it would be interesting to see the average price of all bikes sold in the world, I reckon it would be about £150, and most of them will have 26" wheels.

Most of them are still owned by British Rail Residual except for the ones which have been donated to sustrans or local councils to rid them of the liabilities.

I'm 5'11 with 32" legs, got an 18" and it fits brilliantly, you might get away with either the 18 or 19.5.
Fantastic bike, they ride really well and build into a nice light bike which will stand up to most things normal riders will throw at them. Good for all day comfort, the feel is very similar to the steel on-one with less weight.
I'd buy another, do I need to say any more?

Looks fast, the grips are brilliant when you get used to them, I’m running them on a couple of my bikes and they are as good as the ergons on one of the others.

    I’ve got:

On-one – currently selling for £99 with kenda tyres, bargain price but heavy ish

Stans olympic 26spoke ZTR on goldtec hubs, lovely, light, slightly too light for my build and expensive

Mavic T319 36spoke built onto hope2 front and XTrear, not too heavy and bombproof

Probably not a good idea to carry painkillers, if it is a real incident that may require further proper medical treatment it could hinder/limit what they can give you when you get to the hospital.

Insulation tape, tissues and cable ties will sort most things…

Best of luck to all concerned. It’s a real rollercoaster but yot absolutely have to keep going about normal life for everyone else involved however hard it may seem. Speak to macmillon as they have seen everything and are unbelievably good at helping out.

Use Kenda Nevagals on mine with reasonable success, 2.1 but they seem a bit wider.

Don’t really know of any routes but it is well worth the trip round to Baddachro for teh inn and the whole area is absolutely stunning. I managed an hour or 2 when I was up there a couple of years ago but it was mostly following farm tracks round to Redpoint beach.

It’s dead easy, let the air out of the fork, undo top and bottom bolts, pop the air cylynder out the top and remove the spacer, job done. I serviced mine the other week and did this at the same time, it has made absolutely no difference to the way they ride though…

Great weekend, apart from my nonintentional stack on the finish line after a sprint finish which has properly **** my shoulder up, serves me right for racing. Big thanks and well done to the organisers, nice and chilled event with no rules for a change

Have a ti456 with pike u turns and it climbs really well with the fork wound in to 115mm, it gets ridden most of the time at full travel (140mm) though as I can’t be arsed but it still climbs well at full travel.

Aldi ones are pretty decent for the money, have you had a look at the screwfix/machine mart places? The aldi ones are made by wolf who one of them stock.

Mrs has got a yaris 1.3, pretty cheap to run(50mpg)and can be had for that sort of money now. They are fairly roomy inside with quite a few clever touches like sliding rear seats and loads of storage holes and are actually almost fun to drive and pretty good safety ratings, it’s £115 per year to tax though.
