kona Sutra somewhere in oirland by a loch/lough/lake

In Hornsea at the end of the TPT:

Now repainted as it had a few battlescars as it also gets used as a commuter

Great bike, very stable both loaded and unloaded, comfortable to ride but wieghs a ton. It is probably the bike I would keep if I had to bring the fleet down to 1. Also fits up to 42c tyres.

I lost mine off the bar mount in daylight so didn't see it go, always use a lanyard, it was an expensive lesson for me.

That is a normal screw on, it is 135mm (mountain bike) spacing as well, you won't get a 120mm disc hub.

I have a surly SS disc hub (32 spoke) with new bearings in it, yours for £35 posted.

Sherry, It's always worth clicking on the user name to see their history of posting, some people only sign up to sell stuff and I normally avoid buying from them. Shite form though if they are not as described, hope you get sorted soon.

That's why I don't clean mine any more

No, the cranks are set up for an exact overall BB width so they need the spacers to be there else the cranks will slide form side to side in the BB bearings.

Sounds like the pad is hanging over the edge of the rotor a bit, are they shimano rotors? Worth dropping the wheel and pads out and squirting some gt85 into the caliper and then getting an old toothbrush in there to have a bit of a cleanup.

Got out the door at half past six, rode a mile towards work, threw up on the side of the road, turned around and came home. Not much done today…

VW/Skoda do a kit for about £90 which tricks the head unit into thinking it has a 6cd player attached, the only downside is that you do not have a lot of control over the ipod, the 6cd buttons play the playlists or you can have it on random shuffle or play all. Fitted mine myself which was fairly straightforward.

Bit of a dusty shithole with little going for it when I was there in 1997, stayed in Jerba and Tunis, as said, head for the desert for some good sightseeing.

Not much difference, there's only a couple of ways of making a piece of stainless with a bend at one end and threads at the other.

MW-80 here, got them for £100 from here but it looks like they have put them up a bit more than the 2.5% increase in vat.

We've got a portway on order, less than 5kw so does not need additional ventilation, just got to knock the fireplace about a bit now to fit, it's replacing an open fire so not too much hassle. Most of the multifuel stoves are approved for use in smokeless areas when burning wood or smokeless fuels and are a bit more efficient.

"Iraq? Toppling Saddam brought what? Constant **** bombings of innocent civillian lives in the hundreds every month. "

I think you'll find it is their own people doing that to them, they can't even agree which version of islam is best FFS so what chance do any infidels/non beliveers/sane people have of getting along with them?

Ran it with both, photos here[/url]
At the time I had a qr reba which was dead flexy and an on-one carbon fork which was pretty good for rigid, now down to the reba but have modded it with 20mm lowers and it is loads better. Both the scandal and the steel inbred have now gone to make way for a ti29er, one of the best bikes I have ever ridden, if you can afford it get one.

Like the first hardtail, not sure about the FS though, only a mother could love it…

Have owned both, not a lot of difference but the scandal is slightly stiffer and seems to get the power down more efficiently somehow.

Proper security checks on target groups would not go amiss, like it or not, all of the recent terrorists all seem to come form a similar background.

Replace the bearings or just carefullly pull the seals out and re-grease them, you might get a bit more life out of it.

5'11" with 32" inside leg here and on an 18", think 18" will be to big for you though, go for a 16":

Looks like the bearings themselves will be standard ht2, you can pull out the outer seals and then the bearing race seals and pump more grease in, the bearings themselves can also be replaced in ht2 (even though it says do not disassemble on them)so can't see why you shouldn't be able to do this, you could most likely fit some enduro or phil woods bearings back in to replace the shimano ones.

Even rebas are flexy unless you get the 20mm version. Save up for them or get the onone carbon fork

How can the Dakar Rally not even be in Africa now?

Because some of the people who live there believe in fairy tales and want to cut the competitiors heads off on the internet

Did it about 10 years ago, interesting assault case and all 3 defendants got sent down. There are ways of getting out of it, you get asked at the beginning if you ever go to places where you are likely to meet defendants/victims etc, just say yes and you get put back into the pool.
