I have Hope XC’s on my Solaris as well, got them through 18bikes with red hubs. No problems whatsoever so far and tubeless no problem with Racing Ralph and Rocket Ron.

Not tried 11 speed XT, but I have 11 speed XTR and it feels very positive, like you’d expect top-end Shimano to feel.

Torc here – again the customer service and fitting advice was superb (I had to go through rebar to fit mine).

I use 1×9 on my commute with a 39T Alfine chainset because of the built in trouser guard! Only a short commute so never wear proper cycling gear.

My Radr arrived yesterday as well – planning on fitting it later

At CRC – Shimano XT chainset + Set of XTR gear cables, then using BF2014 code came to £85.98. Seemed pretty good.

I’ve previously bought paints from here https://www.paints4u.com/ for other things but they do RALs in spraypaint

Never sell the Technics, you will only regret it!

I went for Pro2 with the X1 and it’s great. Traktor on the ipad as well for just messing about but you can also get creative with ipad and X1. All sorts of possibilities.

Depends on your commute but I find a bell very useful for people who cross the road without looking.

Thursday is not too bad – not just the Moving motor show. Most of the classic cars, racers etc will be in the paddock and there’s way less people wandering around. The BMX/MX stuff will be happening as well.

This year they are running the supercars up the hill on the Thursday as well and there is usually some action on the Rally stage as well.

If you can only do one day I’d do Friday, but if you’ve got a crazy weekend that weekend then go Thursday.

I broke mine on my BMX – 5 weeks in plaster and riding almost immediately afterwards. 8 years later no problems.

    Hope you get the same!

Posted in the main TT thread but I’ll put them here too.

    Philipe Gilbert

    Michael Rogers

    Froome pushing hard

Got a bit snap happy when Wiggins came through

Once everyone was through and Wiggins had claimed gold they opened the road up to let spectators down to the big screen. Lots of noise and a rendition of the national anthem.

I managed to get tickets to the finish – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible.

When they rounded the corner with 500M to go it just went crazy – I was on the corner at 150M to go and took a few pics…
