Littleorangechunks – the problem my wife would have is do the council have a recycling box labelled – whiteish, cover in bike grease, chalk and tomatoes!!!! 😉

I am afraid i am completely with COnvert here. There is nothing in a wedding that includes RRR! As it is an extravigant once in a lifetime affair.

Gary – it was a very expensive dress. Just out of interest, how is it a waste? Will she ever wear it again….. NO. so to have a load of amazing pictures and memories from it I beleive is a far better way to get value out of the dress than let it hang up in the wardrobe for the rest of our lives like 90% of the dresses out there.

I had my nomad done, the finish was great new, but find it chips really really easily. I might be tempted to look elsewhere next time. They do a first class job, but i think it is more road bike orientated.

As above it is not that hard to do, it is how hard you do it that makes the difference. If you can keep your heart rate at about 80% of it’s max for jus over an hour then you will be able to get up it.
For training just ride up hill as much as you can for as fast as you can.

Good luck and don’t forget to admire the view!

one for the morning. crack 4 eggs into a plastic bag, pepper and salt, swing it around above yoru head for a bit (sealing it first)dunk it into boiling water. wait for it to harden a bit then mash it up and hey presto scrambled eggs.

(just don’t let the bag touch the bottom of the pan or it could melt to it!)

    terry,

I used to live in Westhill, slightly outside, but great riding from the door step, good for both north and south of town, a decent commute in on teh bike with road / offroad options for all of town so a decent ride to and from. Not the best if you want to go to town for drinks etc… but i never really did. Did i mention the good biking?!!?!?

When you get there drop me an email and I can put you in touch with some bikers up there.

    Cheers

Mate’s first day snowboarding last year in canada, caught his back edge, flippe dhim over and he knocked himself out. he went and bought a helmet.

I wear a helmet, always have for over 20 years of skiing, but then again i came from a racing background and had to wear them.

My terra nova has lasted me for 7 years now. that includes 3 montsh of putting it up and down every day in NZ. 1 month in the alps and 3 years of heavy use in scotland. Snapped a pole about two months ago.

http://www.actionoutdoors.co.uk/shop/tent-poles-c-6881.html seem to sell vaude tent poles – not sur ehwat model you have, but they are available. is worth cheking out the overall condition of the tent to see if it is worht just replacing the poles or if it would be more economical to replace the whole thing. look at the stitching, the seam taping, zips etc…

Hope you are having fun over there!

Me and my girlfriend are doing it, she is keen to meet other uk females to ride with. email me on dnwsmith @ hotmail.com and we can arrange to meet up the week before. we will be there from the monday riding.

i did it two years ago, and you will enjoy it, promise. the only bit that got me was the arm pump, had to stop a few times to shake it out.

6″ is perfect. I did it on a nomad and lyriks and it blew my lyriks up (dodgy 2step from 06) had that replaced with coil / oil and should be better this time, was not the most fun racing on a 4″ fork!

    bring it on!
