I would come along, proabably with a few other folk from aberdeen area.

as a place to ride, the two tracks are good fun, not DH bike teritory as they are far to peadaly to keep the speed for the jumps, 5 and 160 territory i would say.

    cheers

I live in westhill, would recommend out west as it is near the good riding and access to the mountains. and is good if you work south or north of the city where ever your work takes you.

Good on you for the job, give us a shout when about for a ride 07736 289 589. see if i can show you some new trails if you haven't found them all.

think he was a bit annoyed cus he is a tart and they took a lot of paint of the mount, i think i see the point of the 'pre-empting' bit.

am sure the cranks will hide it anyway. Was probably just the shock of your new frame having more taken off than you imagined, still in the protective stage of bike ownership

    thank you all.

that was my main question really, do they need to face the whole thing for the BB, or should they just do the circle around the BB shell and leave all the paint on the ISCG mount?

Mate has not paid anything yet.

    Melissa,

thank you for your explaination, I suppose it was not clear to some (like me) that last years price was heavily subsidised thus the surprise in the level of price increase.

I wish you all the best with this race, it does look amazing!

straighliner, a shame i think. not sure why such a price hike

    Chucky,

Awesome, informative and thank you very much. Posts like this aer brilliant and it is what makes this place great.

As and when you do the HID can conversion, do you think you could do a 'how to' like above for it? i have the hid and not the halogen and would be keen to give the HID conversion a go. Or if you don't have the HID can and fancy a go I am more than willing to let you use mine as a guinea pig 😉

    Good work

We took a chimenia (sp?) and burned a load of caol in it, made our gazebo a little smoky when it first lit but the warmth was a god send.

    Would recommend one.

this is mainly for recreational riding. She will never race, more just for the fun of going out. Want comfortable geometry with a fairly short top tube so she is fairly up rife and relaxed.

She has ridden my road bike ( a cervelo, my wifes, a look and her boyfriends a trek) so she has had a feel of what size bikes she likes and what sort of geometry. I have a failty good idea of the sizifn of the frame for her.

I am just after any other decent bikes out there for me to look at int his price range.

I have ridden and raced on road bikes for 6 years now, so feel i am quialifed to advise. just looking to find anything I have missed.

Many thanks for all your thoughts. Any more bike ideas?

When going down hill I sing out aloud or in my head the A team theme song, and shout "don't touch the brakes" over and over.
Going up hill I just wonder off into a dream world and think about weird stuff that I can't talk about on a public forum…..

Nico did ride a Zesty at this years Mega, but as with all pros it was highly modified. It has the rear linkage off the spicy to give it 160mm, and a shorter i2i length shock with a custom front shock mount. he was also on fox 32's.

I was very breifly behind him. he was rather fast!

Not sure they will be happy with you using a flash, as it will disturb the birds. Normally you are are well hidden as possible to capture them in their natural habitat.

What was the problem with the shots you took?

    Rudiboy,

Not sure, I got the idea from a friend who is a photographer. we just thought it woudl be a fun thing to do.

we called it "the Chronicles of the wedding dress" rather than trashing it.

Nicknoxx – love it, that is a brilliant thing to do.

Yes the wife does all these sports, she raced the mega this year (she wanted to do it in the wedding dress?!!?) we skied toured all around europe for 8 weeks in the van, and she is brilliant at throwing stuff at me. So a good representation I think

as for dumping the dress, it stank! we move around alot and we don't keep much stuff, so less to cart around.

thank you all for your kind words, and thank you those who think this is a mindless act of self indulgance killing the enviroment. Has been fun reading your opinions.

I love all the pictures and am going to proudly hang them up at home.
