Bad one but all too common. Was on a site a few weeks ago and security was finished on a Friday. Site broken into on Saturday and all the joiners tools nicked. Coincidence Cluso? Had an old telly “taken” off my path 2 days ago. It was on the way to the tip when I was going that way. Save me a trip but still peeved it was taken from my driveway.

Just got over minor knee operation for cartlidge just after I bought a new bike! Went for as roll yesterday to check it out and all seems fine apart from being well rained on.

Knew a lot of skinheads/rudeboys from the York area early 90’s. Virtually all AntiFascsitAction or AntiFascistLeague supporters and very anti-BNP. Lots of good music and parties. There was the element of boneheads but not tolerated amongst people I knew. However years later I do think the DM’s rolled up jeans and check shirt carry all the wrong overtones to most people. I still strut my stuff occasionaly and find a cartain attitude is assumed from you and I’m about as aggresive as a relaxed sloth.

Yes , though had to take the nipple rings out when started climbing, God it hurt being the second when learning and having the rope ping across your chest.

Just to pour petrol on the flames Israel is the only country I've been to I would not re-visit, just didn't like Israelis, found most of them arrogant, rude and very unhelpful. Found most of them to be like this whilst i've met them travelling as well. Unfortionately criticism of Isreal does tend to be seen as criticism of jews in general which is not the case.
Then again no one is trying to take over my allotment! Im off to find my very wide tar brush.

Queenstown and Wanaka both do good heli biking and uplift service, did both but found Wanaka a bit more chilled for my liking. Will be trying them again in March, giving Nepal a bash first though in 9 weeks time

It would ruin all my memories of eating fishfingers and chips for Saturday dinner in front of the telly when I was a nipper.

Chips cooked in beef lard of course hmmm…..

Well mines all true, whats the point in lying on a forum to people you don't know?

And my best shag place was in Bergen Court House on a leather couch with a lawyer(female) I picked up in a bar. That was a pretty wild night.

The above is purely to willy wave and show off.

I'd go to see what its like, if I didn't like it I'd save a wedge and leave. But I have no kids and a girlfriend who would do her nut but would understand why I wanted to go.

Mouse, currently fighting a war against the little feckers. Digging up drains outside the house on Saturday as consensus in the road is that the drain was not sealed properly going into the house as everyone else has had to do this.

Ask the other plot holders and get lots of good and bad advice. Buy a book that works through the seasons was pretty good for me. Got an overgrown mess of an allotment last year and am now enjoying bumper crop of spuds, onions, spring onions, corgettes, rhubarb, green beans and soon sweetcorn, oh and lots of salad. Im using seaweed off the beach as fertiliser and our allotment did get a grant for a load of compost. The local B and Q is also more than happy for us to raid there garden chuckaway for cains and pots etc.
Get a spade and dig, learn how to backfill!

For my twopence bit I had dreads put in after not having a haircut for about 10 years. I liked them a lot but it was back in the early 90's and did have a fair few stop and search off the old bill because of them. A fashion, music thing for me, Gaye Bykers on Acid anyone?. When I went to have them cut a mate went with me, I commented on how busy town was after the barbers and he replied,
"its the same as usual, just that everyone used to get out of your way."
I find it quite sad how haircuts and clothes can produce such bias and prejudice in people even now. Always wish I'd had a mohican as well as I still think they are pretty cool. Just short hair now and very happy with that.
And yes the cute indie chicks I liked at the time liked them a lot.

Off to do the three passes trek and EBC then hopefully Island Peak. Then climbing my way round SE Asia, then New Zealand and then South America, would like to head to Patagonia but is winter when I arrive there. Quite a bit of biking thrown in along the way on an 8 month holiday. Hurray.
Am always torn between biking and climbing really. I do like a nice view whilst eating my butties.

You'll be fine Mr Woppit its a long but non technical route. Did it a couple of years ago in winter, its a lovely day out. Little shrine on top and on a clear day you can see the Atlas mountains in Morocco.
Its a great part of Spain, been round the area a couple of times. The book Driving over Lemons is based around Orgiva, can't remember who wrote it but quite entertaining. If the campsite in Lanjaron is still open ask in the bar if the flamenco singers still do their stuff there.
They looked like 2 fat chavs in tracksuits but were amazing to listen to.
Ohh I want to go back now.

Post Office online came out best for my T4 but I dont have a cooker in-situ. Have a bed but as no one sleeps in it when I'm driving round its classed as a panel van or at least the windoewd equivalent.

Report it, especially if you go there a lot.
Roofing asbestos as in the corrugated kind is fine as long as you don't saw, cut, drill or burn it. If it's sat on the roof its fine, anywhere else not.
All asbestos is a risk especially when dumped.
My Uncle was one of those men working in the Navy with asbestos around 1948. Said it was like being in a blizzard in the engine rooms. I went to his funeral on Friday, my cousin is waiting for the hospital report as the specialist he saw "suspected" asbestos caused the cancer. It took a long time but it caught up and was very unpleasant.

Fort Augustus is good for a half day. A staircase of locks on the Caledonian Canal, spot of lunch. Stroll about if not raining.
Used to love taking the trawler in with the pleasure cruisers….oh the little worried faces.
Oban is good for a stroll sea food seller on the pier near the ferry terminal is good.

One coat gloss is good if the surface it is going on is in good nic. So pointless really.
Dulux paints are all good I would say. No shortcut for preperation unless you hire a decorator to do it all for you.

    Just say no.
Helped my brother move house last week as he couldn't do it by himself.
Do odd jobs for him but he does pay me for them as admits he can't be arsed and I'm cheap as he's my brother. Everyone's happy then.
Favours only last so long if they are not being re-paid in some form.
