Snuff, there's a band. There's just been too many good bands in the last few years…..look at No Means No, Drive Like Jehu, CIV, Pennywise, Leatherface, Big black, Jesus lizard. Libertines not even good enough to load the rider for these bands. Rock and Roll, dangerous……..hardly.

Just come back from road holiday in southern alps. stayed at a ski resort with bike park/ski lifts. There was loads of them and our chalet owner had one and spoke very highly of it.

Just check your e mails. You said you'd made a mistake and would send another and that was it. No refund mentioned. Heard nothing more…….

As I said ..not really that bothered.

Not that bothered as now have one. How much the one you sent me new is irrelevant as I dont have a need for one. You didnt offer refund, you just said you would send what I ordered. As I said, good service, just not what i ordered, which is why I didnt mention who it was.

    Nevermind…… :-)

Nice to see that there is someone commenting on thread who sold me an item which was different to what he stated, even after I had confirmed on e mail.

The service was quick -just not what i bought. As it wasnt a huge amount simply decided to write it off and consider it a lesson learnt.

Keep running a 2.1 on back and its a nightmare. They dont seem tough enough. Run them tubeless and the gave up and ran tubes. Constantly puncturing. Scott scale and struggling for space at rear- run a 2.25 on front and no issues, love it.

I currently run Dura Ace carbon clinchers which are just under 1400. I have latest Ultegra's on training bike and seem fine. Have hope with open 4's on cross bike. Think hope/open pro combo will be slightly heavier than ultegra's but if I had to choose 1 wheel it would be the hope/mavic. If well built and run with good tyres/tubes then they will feel miles better than what you currently have.

Quite the opposite. Lashed out 100 stirlings for some F1 Uno shorts and they just wont die. Have come off on the road and they didnt rip. comfiest shorts I have. Bought assos arm and knee warmers again after having some arm warmers that went on forever even though longevity is not their selling point.

No experience with Tune but this is a common problem with radial spoking on lightweight hubs. So much so that Hope brought out a special Radial version on their hubs when they first came out and other companies stated no radial builds. Would prob go to distributor first rather than direct to Tune.

I have done exactly the same thing on a hope and an AC hub when radially built. Both were replaced.

Not quite related but saw 3 riders at the cafe today. All together on a ride. Two in livestrong kit, one in mellow johnny's, bikes set up wrong and everything mint…. including the I pods they were all wearing.

    I pods …..

    WTF !!!!

Our club seems to be full of them recently. Mint bikes but never ride them. Always on our club website going on about riding but we never see them out. Commenting on eachothers bikes. Post elaborate and exaggerated reports about 'rides' they were on. Posting feeble excuses as to why they havent turned up on rides. Think they just need telling. 'Ride your bike' , 'MTFU'.

go ride, suffer, get better, replace broken parts, enjoy

Nowt wrong with Mags or buying stuff…….just ride your bike as well. The influx of these types is ruining our club.

Personally, I would avoid mini v's – raced on them and they were more hassle than normal canti's and weren't much better in terms of stopping power.

I bought a Scale 30 3 years ago. They are strong as. I'm 12.5 stone, race MTB and batter it to death.

I would buy another in a flash……when I need to. I have snapped steel frames in the past. Have carbon cross bike and road. I wouldnt worry about strength from good/established manufacturers.
