Well you kind of set up the challenge of giving us some detail then said do your own research so i kind of thought we were trying to work out what club you were a member of. I’m guessing you don’t want to say then? well that spoils it but hey ho I’ll have to give up :(

“No elitism here. I just train with a good club.. Edinburgh had upwards of 40 TKD clubs. There are well over 300 martial arts and boxing clubs. It is an absolute hotbed for producing talented fighters. Seeing as you want to do your own research I’ll leave it to you to find out. All the information is in the thread to allow you to do so. Hint, it’s TKD, and it’s based in Edinburgh”.
I love a challenge so had a look at the TAGB website to see the members in Edinburgh, there appear to be only 5 (if im being generous 7) TAGB clubs registered. Now i know you said “had” so i suppose the numbers could have dropped but if its a hotbed as you suggest I’m surprised at that or is it a case of amalgamation?. I can definitely work out which is the “master” one and possibly the other two but i can see anything relating to a kind of super club or is that just for competition purposes?. My real question is am I getting warmer? it’s a big game of cludo!

Good lord WM you are really starting to sound like a schoolboy, I had quick look btw is your club a member of TAGB? if so it would seem to narrow things down a bit. Oh and i dont believe this is bullying BTW although I’ve seen it here in the past I’d say WM knows what he’s doing.

Whats the opinion of this sort of thing? http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/Meet-Lincolnshire-s-Calendar-Girls-stripped-WI/story-27967868-detail/story.html
is this OK or is it exploitative? Genuine question as it does have nude women as its main “selling” point.

Don’t be fooled by bulshitters blowing smoke up your arse telling you that they have loads of work for you, almost without exception they are talking crap to make themselves look important. Banks are asshats and only look to make money out of you but are a necessary evil. good accountants are rare and you gave to look at it long term as there are no routes to get rich quick unless you are very lucky. apart from that its plain sailing….

It does sometimes go a bit daft… the splitting up of joe from his family then suddenly they are all back together…! WTF?? Rob is ace and the story does a reasonable job of showing how in isolation one person can manipulate others to their own end. Of course he put scruffy in the clamp! seems pretty obvious really as the archers isn’t what could be described as subtle!. I listen to it when im riding there i said it….

Had one for 5 years, it’s ok if a bit fragile, exhaust is not the best and the rear shocks are bad for failing, neither are expensive to sort oh and they have the odd electrical gremlins ( rear brake light bulbs… ). Still like it though and its cheap to run.

Went first thing this morning had breakfast for three plus coffee just over 5 quid, went round during browsing time and was at the tills just after opening… I needed two plain lack tables at a fiver each which I couldn’t find anywhere for less , the kids high sleepers are definitely the best we saw for the price and are spot on for them. Some of the stuff they sell is a bit on the disposable side but it’s priced a accordingly. Never go when it’s busy and its fine…

Play, The world still turns and will continue to do so…. this can happen at any time anywhere (I was in warrington the day before it was bombed so IMO nothing is safe in that respect). If people are motivated then they will find a target be it a football match or a town centre…

In my case they put the sink in the wrong way round then tried to lift the granite snapping it in two. They broke the securing clips when they fitted the oven so it fell out when I opened the door, they chopped the top part of the extractor chimney and threw away the wrong half, put in the magic cupboard machanism upside down left the plumbing so it leaked…. Trust me they deserved the flak…

To put you at ease, i had major issues with my kitchen company last year and i ended up not paying them the last payment, the lied to me they forgot to add sockets, then damaged the units when fitting them, broke the granite worktop all sorts. I paid a lot for it and although the workmanship is excellent the fitter were a shower of shite.

I know what you are saying, but to sell sockets in this country that don’t fulfill the regs is illegal so ideally should not be in the system. Buying from reputable suppliers and brands pretty much guarantees that they do meet the regs, if you do have some that don’t or appear not to conform then of course replace them but ideally keep the ones you have and give them to trading standards as they are pretty keen on that sort of thing. Of course the regs only go so far and you cant make them 100% due to the nature of their operation but they are designed and regulated to make them as safe as is reasonably possible and compared to other systems i’ve seen are generally better. the regs are constantly evolving which is good and currently there is work being done on extension leads which are in my opinion potentially more hazardous.
    Edit:Graham…. i know!

Well you’d have to explain to me what your plan was by knowingly inserting the plug upside down to open the safety shutter or are you just trying to prove some kind of half arsed point that safety systems are possible to defeat. It not a crock as you put it, its designed to be as safe as possible under normal use. I’m sure you’ll say next that you can take the back cover off the plug stick a knitting needle up your nose then get a shock off the live terminal….. :|

The tizz for me is that sockets, plugs etc are all regulated to fairly robust standards in the UK. Safety covers are bound by no safety standards whatsoever and that is an issue for me as they are sold as a safety device. As with all things make your own judgements but for me I tend to err with well tested standards rather than what someone thinks would be a good seller.

Yes I have two Kids who are very curious, and as a kid i cut through a mains cable with some nail clippers which sent me across the room, They are dangerous because they overcome a problem that does not exist and by doing so they give an a opportunity to make the socket unsafe. Why would anyone consider that is sound thinking? you can keep out of reach things that could be inserted into the socket quite easily but you are actually providing a potential tool which can be used to overcome the safety feature.

Ramming a knitting needle into the earth won’t electrocute you, you would need something else to put in the live outlet ie a second needle perhaps. I’d say that was not “piece of piss” but a concerted effort to overcome a safety feature and its unlikely that a child would be capable of such a plan although not impossible.

I was clearing up lego for 2 hours yesterday and began by sorting by colour and now have the itch to sort by type as well…. this will mean a bigger storage solution and possible part number labels…. NO GLUE WILL EVER BE INVOLVED, NOT ON MY WATCH!

When you say its a piece of piss to open the shutters could you tell me how you did it?. you would need at least two suitable objects and one would have to be metal. If it were easier than that I’d say your socket was defective (can happen if its damaged) and so its not as easy as you suggest.

    marcus7

The plastic covers don’t conform to any UK safety standards as there are none. All UK sockets must conform to UK safety standards… IKEA and mothercare stopped selling covers in the UK because they were shown to be potentially dangerous. They can be easily flipped to open the shutters and effectively overcome the main safety feature of UK sockets. Total waste of money imo and feeds on parental fears.
    Edit… As above.
