yeah I looked at invisiframe but not gonna pay £70 + when I can spend £10 – £15 and a little of my time to cut and fit.
Which is the best tape to use?
    3M or proper heli tape?
I know the cost of frames is expensive but £72??
    Cheers guys

Some really positive replies. I would really like the new Mega 275, but adding up the components, I cant justify the cost! £1350 for frame only is discouraging.
So…I have just ordered a CF comp Capra with new Lyrik fork, E13 wheels, stealth reverb, full carbon frame, sram X1 groupo, race face cranks, bars, stem & chainring, Sram guide RS brakes & rotors for £2700. Bargain of the year I reckon.
Thanks for the input and advice. I’ll report back after a few rides
    Peace & love

Deviant – great points! I only bought mine as it was on sale at CRC! Haven’t regretted it though, I agree about buying the bike for the riding you do. Does anyone really need 160mm in the UK? But an awful lot of 160mm bikes are out on the trails.

I’ve had one for just over a year now and its the best bike I’ve had (Trek, Canyon, Orange, Giant previously)
Great going up and even better coming down. Use it for commuting sometimes too! I changed to 1 X 10 a few months ago too and its fine. Not too heavy (Obv depends on the components you have on!)
I love mine, its a really good all rounder, done everything from riding to work to Morzine last year and it handles everything.
    Hope this helps

On one Dirty Disco – £799 now. Just got mine with Sram Apex and its awesome. Full carbon, light as a road bike but much more versatile.
Buy one now, or don’t. Up to you

    Following on from my post
    http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/knocked-off-bike-today
You MUST report it. If not it only makes it harder for us, as cyclists, to be safer on the roads.
2 weeks on and I am still on crutches, needing physio on my right knee, had to have an operation on a haematoma on my left thigh to drain it and my nose is half way across my face, and I still haven’t heard from the other parties insurance. If I had been in a car smash im sure things would have moved along quicker.
And I sill cant decide which goddam bike to buy to replace mine!

Also done it a few times – with easyjet from Liverpool. Never had an issue, used a cardboard bike box (mate works in bike shop) so packed up nice and secure.
    Morzine is awesome btw

My eldest lad has cerebral palsy and needs a walking frame to get about. The amount of nasty looks we get when we drive into a disabled bay and I get out, obviously not me who needs the blue badge, then the faces of shame as my lad gets out and into his frame. People are so quick to judge.

They seem quite tight at first but soon loosen up. They are ace. Ive done full days in Alps, Wales, Scotland and honestly forgot they are on.

Go to The Deep in Hull.
There is an underground bunker in Holmpton (about 2/3 mile from Withernsea)that’s ace
Go for a ride around Winestead area and into Patrington. Also take a trip to Spurn Point nature reserve and check out the WW2 beach bunkers. Go for a meal at the Station in Patrington or Roos arms (in Roos, Hilyard arms in Patrington.
    Loads to do

    Fave pubs are:
    Colliers Arms – Nr Elland/Brighouse – £2.08 for a pint of 4.5% “Taddy” lager.
Drop Inn – Elland – Really nice local pub
Barge & Barrel – Elland – Usually a nice young lady behind the bar and nice beers

Accompanied by a bag of crisps, some big talk about the ride just passed, ambitious away day plans for the future and then just talking bollocks and piss-taking

Totally agree, this happens even when I’m on my own!
