@bigbloke, I opted for the light with three settings but have ended up with a 5 settings one, unless I am doing it wrong.

Basically I push and hold down the on button and the light goes through 5 stages of brightness. Can anyone confirm this is correct. I assume the fith stage of brightness is the boost.

I run the light at the four level and when require boost I hold down the on button for a brief moment and the light cranks up a notch. Once finshed with boost I do the same again and the light goes back to what i think it level 4.

Anyone confirm this is corrcet method.

I am as yet to work out how to get the flashing mode as per the instructions

Trout – first ride tonight with the new DD light. Did the obligatory shine into the garden test and it it looks good.

Also did the old stare into the light to see how bright it is, i can confirm its bright.

Hopefully tonight I will see the full impact. The DD on the bars (2600 lumens) and an old D-star led light on the lid (1700 Lumens) should see me through the wyre forest ok.

I plan to take my dogs to neninja’s house and get them to dump everywhere in the hope I can raid your bin a few days later for some slightly soiled trainers.

The bloody dog ate the instructions and they were not straight forward to put on. Having assessed the plastic things will hold a bottle battery I have just ordered my dominator,

Having seen the picture above I can now take the plastic shite off my 5 and look forward to a good winter of night rides., a wasted hour compounded by a wife laughing at my cursing the dog will hopefully be compensated by a quality piece of kit.

You dont live in Bewdley do you. There is one mean Alsation round the corner from us and it is noisy. Although the dog is often quiet through the night he makes a racket up till 11pm/12.

I spoke with the owner and he pretty much said its my problem not his. The dog has had a few snaps at people and other dogs so I do belive its days are numbered before he is forced to have it put down. He has had several official warnings from the police.

My neighbours too have barky dogs, but when they start barking you can hear the neighbours go down stairs to address the issue, i.e bring the feckers into their house rather than leave then in the conservatory.

I was in there this morning and noticed a couple guys kitted out, huge rucksacks, full pads, full face etc. I too also wondered if I was missing something so asked. It was their first visit and wanted to be prepared for any type of riding. Still total overkill, but each to their own.
