Some great pics but a disappointingly small amount of posters on this one. maybe too many people keeping an eye on the cricket? Or possibly too challenging a subject title?

Houns – Can we have some more pics of the Over the Tops please? I always loved the look of those, although my odd shaped head meant they were never an option for me.

    What hubs have you got?

I had a terrible issue with a honking noise from my rear Hone (essentially LX) brake. Tried changing loads of things on the brake to no avail. Finally noticed that the hub was in need of a service (Shimano SLX I think the cup and Cone thingys needed poking (not my area of expertise)) The service resolved the “honking” issue.

    Might be worth considering?

Another positive experience with LOCO here, fast turnaround, good information and very happy with the end result

Definintely do Mt Kinabalu at sunrise, its excellent. Its a struggle getting yourself out of bed at 3 in the morning to get to the summit but its definitely worth it. there are some nice spa type hotels to ease tired legs after the walk down as well.

slight hijack but my kona dawg will be going on the classifieds this evening. Its an 04 frame so 100mm travel rather than the bigger travel of later years.

putting pikes at 140mm on the front slackened it our slightly and its been great fun to ride, from twisty singletrack to the Nevis Red DH. Let me know if you’re interested, otherwise it’ll be on the classifieds soon anyway

Sensitive change to avoid unnecessary offence, or pointless rose-tinting of history?

    sensitive change I reckon

    Times change, things move on

its a simple change that means that the story can be enjoyed without causing a furore.

why cause an argument for the sake of it

that love/hate one is awesome. its a fairly complex image for a HT badge but it works very well

love this photo, you can’t see where the take off is, or the landing, or even how he’s managed to find the space to get between the trees, let alone pull off a massive jump

And this one is super gnarly (dude)

    We’ve got a safe t seat http://www.safe-t-seat.co.uk/index.html

its great! It means its very easy to know how they’re doing, you can talk to them and see whether they are enjoying themselves without having to turn around. They can see where their going and become much more a part of the ride, than if stuck out on the back behind you. My daughter loves it and rocks from side to side if I’m not going fast enough.

fitting is easy, you just need 10mm of spacers between headset and stem.

    EDIT found a pic

2nd EDIT make sure your son has enough strength in his neck to hold it up with a helmet on. we had to wait past 12 months until we were confident in her wearing it for any length of time.

TSY – you’ll be pretty local to me for some of those rides, drop me a line to let me know your planned dates etc, I might be able to join you or at least offer some local knowledge.

Nevis cycles definitely hire, they’ve a unit up near the Nevis Range and a shop in InverLochy. Witches Trails are good and plenty more in the area as suggested above
