It would be a shame to see any facility go but I never bother with Afan centre when im there unless i have to. Stark contrast to Glyncorrwyg where im happy to have my tea and a beer after a ride and speak with the shop boys

plans for a long green next year aimed at more family orientated riding apparently so id say there would be demand . Usualy stay in petrabach holiday inn but prices are getting a bit silly now 190 for 2 days over last bank hol.

Berko’s a lovely lovely town with good riding in ashridge / aston hill and chilterns , good cafe restaurants etc. I live in chipperfield which is a little village tucked away up lanes with village cricket team common etc but only 3 miles from mainline and totally rideable all the way near enough to watford town centre off-road. Worth taking a look at kings langley , sarratt and here if you like villagey. For a guide I know of a two bed maisonette which has just been done up going for 1000 Pcm . Good road riding and links to m25 m1 as well . Shout if you need anything

Ah cool I’ve not really been out this way exploring too much other than on the road bike. if local I tend to go to whippy where I helped build (and more importantly) know the trails. I’m riding all weekend if I can and would be happy to go and see some local stuff if your around ?

Just don’t make the same mistake i did by going up Llanberis and coming down the rangers expecting a short ride back . 16 miles with supertacky minions on after climbing and descending that even on the road took some doing
