To add my thoughts I’ve also come from a cf pro race to the ripmo af . Arrived two weeks ago thought I’d struggle as was on 27.5 but got on and got straight in to some big is bits at mallards and Parkend in the fod and got straight on with it , it go’s up way better and comes down equally as well just different from the Capra , surprisingly playful and poppy . It’s just a well sorted bike . I got off it today after seshing a Local trail just to get the suspension properly dialed and thought what a bike . Seems to work so bloody well . I don’t regret not going for the 29 Capra I wanted originally , pretty close to a do it all bike I’d say

Ive sort of half stole a cat I guess – Moved in off and on since I brought my new place 3 years ago – it apparently has always been a wandering cat very friendly and was always in another neighbor before they sold. I leave my back door open often and find it curled up on a bed , my sons taken to feeding it titbits and I confess I may have fed it as well. Its a cool cat likes playing with my lad when I have him but I do feel a bit bad – Did have a do not feed collar on it and we didn’t but I think they have given up now as that went a few months ago.

Not sure what I should do should I knock on the door and say I think your cat wants to live with me – I’m happy to pay vets bills – come visit .. or just leave it as is – doesn’t seem malnourished or in poor condition and accept it has a kip at mine occasionally

I’ve a raf on back order since late April in nx flavour brought an xt 12 group and code rscs for less than the slx upgrade and I can see the nx and guide ts on for a few hundred . If you don’t have one on order deore 12 will be new base and might also be spec’d with the new onyx you will be waiting till September apparently

Will swap over my reverb and Renthal controls when its done and Fingers crossed riding by July

Echoing above I think everyone has mental health issues they just manifest and are managed differently .
Not to try and take over the thread but I have always had down days and just shut down for a while and don’t speak with anyone . These last few weeks have been particularly difficult , business is 50% down on income people I’ve furloughed likely I will make redundant .
My operations director is going on mat leave and we can’t replace under these conditions and there is looming matter of a massive rebuild that falls squarely on me.
Personally I live alone and have worked at my kitchen table for 70+ days and am becoming unproductive. I still have my son 3x a week and travel 40 mile round trip to collect but that’s the only interaction I get.
His mum also has a new bloke and couldn’t care less about lockdown rules. All this whilst stewing alone has left my head in not a great place. I’m usually pretty good with routine gym work good food but struggling badly atm .
Drinking way to much , not getting enough workouts in eating unhealthy and now recreational drugs are back on the scene all of which I know make the situation worse as I feel worse .
Post is half writing it down to express how I feel and half to make me take action and change things I’m 41 not 14

Kelvin I know that’s how I should feel but I have not had a day off since October other than the weekend and Xmas holidays. I have then worked the last 2 months doing 2 other peoples jobs as well as mine from home as a co-parent traveling 20 miles e/w 3 times a week to collect my son – Being sat at my table day in day out with a very full workload can make you a little envious… bloody shagged

Seem a lot to me is this down to people not wanting or getting access to treatment. Mental health, drugs, etc – as you would have thought RTA’s etc would have been down.

Morning and a slightly hungover one , I drink when i’m bored drunk from the age of 15 in pubs. then weekend binging now mainly solo at home. Last drunk NYE and xmas day before that and only one post ride beer with an old mate till this weekend – Snow kept me home , found out bike frame cracked so no bike to ride so what do i do .. i drink and waste the time – don’t get me wrong I’ve cleaned the house done all the washing , painted a room but I drunk with it .. yesterday had 4 large beers + finished off quarter bottle of Gin .. that’s on top of 6 beers and gin the night before and a bottle of wine the night before that.. Predictably i feel pretty crap right about now and not just physically, there’s defiantly a destructive mental side to it as well as I know i’m not operating as I should or hitting the gym and physically feeling better ..like Olly above -I cant keep booze in the house or it will go I think 25 years of drinking has formed long standing habits and whilst I do like a drink and listening to my tunes, Abstinence is the only way as I like the drunk feeling not the drink and that’s probably quite dangerous.. Confession time over not sure if it feels better but I know I have an issue with it known for a while.
