Hi Dont post too much but I like this thread to keep me in the loop – I also use This sub quite a bit but fair warning – there can be some rather graphic videos here – generally labeled as such before you click

A mixture of first hand and in the country reporting along with external – as ever its the internet – take some with a pinch of salt

Hope its helpful – Slava Ukraine

Ooops just brought 7YO Mini me one of those Nukeproofs – Hes looking a little small on his Orbea 20″ also will have to be smuggled in the loft/basement for end of March birthday.

Missed the vitus at the end – now have a twinge of buyers regret – but that Cub Scout looks a great bike !

Adding to the above – Just get a shuttle its a big climb out and you can get more done in the ltd time you have –
Agree with the Base Nato advise lots of flow trails, shuttle, and a fair amount of people up and down if anything does go wrong.

If you have time and can spring for a guide Look up Louise Paulin @ Just Ride Finale – She knows the area like the back of her hand, was the 2019 EWS Masters champ so can ride a bit, a Mum to 2 lovely girls so might add to the non-bike side and a genuinely cool person to spend time with.

Good luck Im looking forward to my week in September !

Rest Up and you might be reet – as above no way to know without an MRI and then being cut – If its not locking you may be able to get away with some neige but risk making it worse.

I’m on KH no3 (Last Jan) Last one I paid for as was told no tear by NHS but 7 years of griping and experience told me otherwise – Tidied up flushed and I’m running 20k min a week again now.

Can be fixed get it diagnosed properly – the NHS are under so much pressure if you have Private go that route – Will be quicker and possibly better care.

I was on zwift 4 days after slowly, stayed indoors till March then out on it no other major physio work other than stretches and stability exorcises .. but not my first rodeo so knew what was and what wasn’t good for me.

Hope in some way it helps and to all suffering healing vibes — its a pig living with knee pain at anytime but most of all when your active .. I’ve a second lease of life again (although oddly have ran more than bike since last opp)

Came here looking for something like this –
Was really ill last March/April for a few days and bounced back well, like a parting of the skies 4 days later and even went for a jog. Then fine till November when badly fatigued – put down to work stress no break etc but diagnosed with covid toes Jan so dr suggested long covid.

Then had a period of poor health including a very random eye ulcer – I don’t wear contacts they have put it down to herpes simplex (Because I am prone to cold sores with stress)

Anyway felt better again but now I am getting really fatigued in the day randomly and far more lethargic towards everything including work.

The weird thing is I can kind of get through it or avoid it by working out .. can feel ratshite but put my runners on and go do a fast 5k off the bat, Seems worst early afternoon – Is this just me getting older at 43 or is anyone seeing the same sort of thing?

It’s all rather odd for me and I’m sure there are plenty of factors in play here including a bit of burnout with the last 18 months, I’m usually so career and business-driven but am just posting it in at the moment ..

Sorry for the ramble on her but don’t really have anyone else that might understand really

    Cheers

    @captainclunkz

It started and is most prevalent in my right foot 2nd toe from the end – but I did have trouble with the left and have – mega cold feet like you when walking or cycling – Ive kinda stopped in the last two weeks but the right toe has not got any better .. Definately worse on that side – I have been given a steroid cream but cant say its making much difference .. Wierd

Thanks again all – I certainly don’t feel as hard hit as some of you – Just really lethargic and tired. I was managing low-stress turbo sessions most days but it was a struggle to get on the bike rather than a joy .. i did feel better but wiped out after if that makes sense . I kinda think that this sedentary lifestyle isn’t helping either – WFH Im Far less active than id normally be. Not really done anything but work for last two weeks as had a knee operation .. Im thinking that going from training most days to zero isn’t helping but I cant even really do Yoga at the moment so just have to be patient !

Dr said Covid toes , I’ve never had chilblanes ever before in my life (42) before , I cycle in the cold wet , snowboard etc so would be a bit random but not impossible

Wurzel- joint pain tick , muscles tired . Sadly no weight loss feel like I want to eat every thing

Started 90 days dry on the 27th .. I’ve been drinking to much and it’s been hitting me mentally and physically . Head seems better already, been out on the bike last three days , I’d have sacked it off if I’d have had a drink so it’s a yes from me .. good luck

Thanks again for the replies – Laptop not a huge issue just less kit to plug in and get running if i wanted a blast as set up in the spare bedroom atm – but do have some old phones lying around so maybe another option. Sunday will be a bit early for me I think and hope it will be an outdoor ride day – give me a few weeks to get used to this and get a bit of my fitness back up and I will join in – found and followed – seen the STW bit and added to my name Dean McGarry

    Thanks again

Hi Is this the right spot? Brought a Kickr Snap to help with lockdown Cardio and now using Zwift . Set it up on Monday .. and its a bit good . Training in my house no distractions at any time I like . Put 60 miles on in the first three days and will be back on it again in a bit . Need to sort a few things out with the set up – have a question.

Im currently using my laptop but have an iPhone 11 which I have ordered a hdmi out and bar holder .. I intend on hooking that to a wall mounted TV – How long roughly would the phone last and can I use my Bluetooth headphones at the same time or does that fubar things ?

2nd’ly I’m a leisure rider if truth be told not an athlete – whats the best way to get the most out of this – I did a quick 30k on watopia for the first ride, 20k yesterday morning on Innsbruck yesterday pm did an SST training for just over 40k.

Would like to improve my fitness

Any hints tips observations and directions very welcome.

Can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier – Just now need to renovate the basement for a permanent home for it all

I’m 510 ride a large af , great bike!!! onyx and jade x combo – size feels spot on for me , onyx is proving difficult on the small bump sensitivity but amazing on the rest , jade x is like a magic carpet although as a heavier rider 90kg I do want to try the new progressive spring which windwave have on order for me. My experience with 2pure has been poor , wind mwave for the dvo kit has been excellent. Based Home Counties if your close and want to swing a leg over

He’s a nice dude , maybe just a bad day . Always good with my lad and me . Totally agree with the above comments on signs absolutely needed you may be able to fairly judge the trails and risk being an Experienced rider but it attracts a lot of underbiked and overconfident riders or just those ignorant to the risk . I fractured my spine there 5 years ago so can attest that it can go wrong quickly and I’m well rad to the power of gnar

Loved Mine, think we rode together in Morzine 4 years ago this August not long after id got it .. Yellow Cf Be a great bike for a young un .. mines went off to retirement with a friends lad who only rides Aston hill and the like – All the issues covered off in the post before me re bearing and pressfit . Id wants to inspect it thoroughly before buying for any cracks though .. If you do buy it Ive a spare Monarch Plus from a friends Capra that developed the knock you can have for parts just in case – your choices for Shock might be limited if it goes – think its a bit of an odd size
