Yes. Take it to an unlocking place. The small indoor market near me has someone.

Back the phones up before having them unlocked. I can’t imagine they’d be bricked but loss of data is easily avoidable.

    Or do it yourself.

Also, let me know when the 4S is up for sale.

what format are the files? (edit: seen your 2nd post. Try a .avi file.)

I have a cheapy DVD player which only recognises .avi files <1Gb.

Some hardware (TV / DVD players) also only recognise a max size ‘drive’. Again, my cheapy DVD player can see the files but not play them on anything larger than a 2Gb drive.

Have you tried it without a playlist i.e. selecting the file manually?

Is the drive NTFS or FAT32? Is it externally powered? If it needs its power from the USB cable, it’s unlikely the USB port on the TV or DVD player can supply it.

    Sorry to hear that OP.

I wonder how long it will be before we hear of one of them getting caught in the act by a bike owner and is given a proper battering?

Not great but best I could do in my coffee break…

I can send you the PSD file to tidy up if you’d like. It’s 365Mb though!

Just seen your post. Here’s my attempt though.

I don’t know… the area I began riding (S. Devon) had it all. Foresty ST, Dartmoor, disused railway paths / smooth bridleways, jump spots, seaside towns with street furniture almost tailor made for trials.

I guess location did influence me as I believe gears are good (strong headwinds up big open hills), hardtails make sense in sandstone areas and where only half the trials ‘need’ full sus. A lack of trail centres meant jumping and other bigger, man made stuff didn’t exist. So, yeah, a med travel hardtail with lots of gears and 26″ wheels for zipping through trees is perfect.

With so much upping and downing, most bikes you see are XC’ish. Not too much travel and efficient at covering long distances.

I was given it by a wine broker – I assume it’s drinkable.

I can’t keep it to Christmas. I’ll be moving to Thailand where there’re massive import duties on booze!

Just decided to host a poker night in a fortnight’s time. I’ll bring it out then.

So, port is richer, stronger red wine?

surely 650B’s innovation? 1.5″ steerer is too. Small steps to hone a (very successful) product.

boombip – once the wheel’s skidding, there’s no difference. Of course, the faster you are moving (more rotational energy in the wheel) the harder it is for your brake to lock the wheel into a skid.

If I remmeber correctly, the best braking point i.e. slowing the bike down in the shortest time possible, is just before you skid. The closer you are to the wheel ‘locking’, the closer you are to stopping in the shortest distance or time.

b r – That’s how buying and selling works. Besides the 20 seconds it took you to reply, is there a problem?

OP – the other problem is that bikes seem to be large, XL or farm-gate size. I’m 5′ 8″ (not particularly tiny) but most bikes FS are too big!

I’m a diver (and the occasional snorkel) and, if I were you, I’d use borrow a snorkel and fins. I prefer the simplest snorkels anyway and the money you would have spent on all three will be much better spent on a good mask.

I have a Mares X Vision. Great amount of light let in, really comfortable too. Maybe buy some neoprene socks to wear under the fins you borrow to avoid rubbing.

that’s right. Was it your wifes bike? Did she want a special number as I recall?

glad I got it right in the end :)

That’s someone else you’re thinking of Brant; It was my bike and very nice it is too but I should’ve got the even more impossible 15″ 853 456!

It is embarrassing…but I’m doing it from memory!

My parents want some garage space back and I live in Asia.

It was one of a limited run of Reynold’s tubed frames*. An 853 Inbred? Tea coloured. Maybe 8 years ago.

    Thanks

Never BA. It’s where air hostesses go to die.

The worst / slowest / least attentive service I’ve ever received.

I travel long haul 3 – 4 times a year. I usually go for the cheapest but would always pay a little extra to not have BA.

It’s worth going to your LBS to have the headset cups put in properly. Take some biscuits as you’re bound to want to go in minutes before they close that day when you forgot something important for the build (shifter cable etc)

Instruction manuals? You mean manufacturers opinion.

    Win!

Seriously consider 180mm max on a 32mm fork.
I’d want to be 36mm before I’d consider touching 203mm discs.
Its a whole lot of unnecessary force to apply to your lowers when grabbing a handful of brake!

Thanks. I will. I only weigh 70kg so it’s not like I (or the bike) need the big disks…

    Nice bike!

Thanks again. My first after a forced 7 year hiatus. A change from my last bike (a 456 with 150mm Vanillas, Mono M4s etc) but it’s time to accept what kind of rider I am :)
