I never had my Reactor wrapped because they said it came already protected. it does have a small amount tbh in key areas but i couldnt wait so started using it. It now resembles a patchwork quilt with the amount of chopped up sticker patches ive applied to paint chips all over the place!

round here its all shackwrap. i had kindda decided the shakwrap sticker was just a bling badge of honour for the yoof on their santa cruz. i was wrong. an expensive lesson in why i will always have my bikes wrapped in future!

i also got a small pot of touch up paint. useless other than i might take it to a proper paint shop for a colour match?

Good thread this. Think I would like a pond – I have a blank canvas garden project on for the next few years… we were saying a nice water feature my be a good idea for draining surrounding areas and the trickle of a fountain will hide the distant hum of the motorway we get on some days…

One question tho for those of you with tons of frogs and newts – do you have dogs also? Just because my mrs does not respond too kindly when my dogs bring dead frogs in the house! I also don’t want my dogs to be froggy murderers either. In addition, I’m fairly sure my Airedale will jump in the pond at every opportunity!

ive been getting my fix from a new local enterprise pie man, baked to order and delivered to my door. absolutely bang on! Lancashire Butter pie & baked beans today!!

FYI Binners; https://www.facebook.com/summerseatpiecompany/ (im no veggie but not keen on their meaty pies tbh – but the Butter and Cheese & Onion are top draw)

It’s a lovely area but Barmouth itself of one of the worst places I’ve ever visited. Makes Blackpool look like Val de Lobo.

we had got back from skiing the weekend they closed the resorts and flights stopped. still feel very lucky we managed to get that week away in. didnt have anything else booked all year so not had any of those issues to deal with. i had decided to work from home a week before they made it compulsory. couldnt wait to GTF out of London. hard to believe ive never been back!! WFH was brilliant for me, saw the family, walked the dogs and rode my bike every single day. was out of work for 3 months during the year tho which was bitter sweet. loved the time off, riding and digging loads, school runs, even cooking for the family, all stuff that never used to happen being down ldn all week. proper skinted me tho!

i miss the pubs. thats my only gripe tbh. i never struggled for bog roll, touch wood stayed virus free so far, as have all the family. woods and hills stayed open, never really went anywhere else. always been a bit ocd hand washer so love that i get to sanitise my hands in the shops, and the introvert in me is delighted i dont have to hug, kiss or shake hands with people i meet! I even enjoyed home schooling! gutted we cant go skiing this year but im not complaining too much about that.

im about to turn 40. my mates have been discussing our 40th’s for the last 20 years! but tbh im quite glad it will be forcibly low key! will definitely celebrate with a riding trip somewhere epic when we are allowed…

The best thing i did when i realised WFH was most probably (hopefully) the future – i built myself a nice big spacious desk!!

Also planning a self build this year. them screw piles look like a good idea but where do you get the massive pneumatic screwdriver thing? not sure theres much of a saving in getting a contractor in to install them.

Tried watching the new (BBC) Top Gear but just couldn’t get into it. Kind of like when a band changes their singer, but this time they changed everyone. Much prefer the original

for me, i much prefer the new band members but they still play the same old shite music!!

thats the first episode ive watched tbh, i was captivated by the scenery i recognised. and i quite like Freddie and Paddy being a Bolton lad, but scripted banter and contrived races just dont do it for me.

i dont have either! just didnt wanna buy a PSVR then it not work with a PS5 when i eventually get hold of one… but ill probably wait for the v2 now.

which game is the one you see in them youtube vids where people are walking the plank at the top of a sckyscraper and someone pushes them over!? :D

tbh PSVR is not something ive ever looked into, assumed it was a bit gimmiky – would a PSVR headset negate the need for a TV if i got one for the PS4? so i could sit outside playing COD for example?

Coming to America is one of them all time classics in our house, must have watched it 100 times.

was obviously very apprehensive about C2A but we enjoyed it. its no masterpiece of course, but its not offensively bad. loads of fun references to the original and nice to see some old faces. few laughs too. will watch it again.

IME if you dont mither people your request drops further and further down the priority list. a quick phone call to politely check the status fires it back to the top! thats in all walks not just bike shops. but applies particularly to bike shops in fairness.

If they have gone 3 or 4 months without hearing from you they assume your not that bothered about it and are busy dealing with the mitherers!

seen this recommended a few times on here, a quick google suggests its a paste? so are you mixing a bit in with the tommy sauce to give it a kick, or using it as a topping?

its very soft sausage, almost a spreadable – i just grab little blobs and dot it around. its pretty fiery and tends to melt into the mozzerella… drooooooooooooool

I’m not a hater and I’d buy one tomorrow if I could but the amount of talentless dobbers absolutely wrecking all our trails straight lining and blowing the turns with their 25kg monster trucks is an alarming environmental cost that’s getting right on my nips.

It used to be you needed a certain amount of skill and fitness to even access them, but sadly not any more.

Did you do click and collect on the dobies site before going ? Showing stock to local store for tomorrow for me

it said click and collect was available to collect the next day for me too, at 3 local stores (marple, Alty and Preston) but i wanted it that same day. i all phoned 3 stores hundreds of times but nobody answered. i called the HQ but she didnt know which stores had what stock of anything. so i just drove down to Marple. they had none. i showed them the click and collect thing but they still had none. i went over to the altrincham store, same story. CBA going to Preston.

we ended up christening the fuel tray and got a wood fire going. amazing. bit of a faff but im in less of a rush for the gas burner now…!

ive had the itch a few times. i have it again at the moment. in the past a borrow or demo has scratched my itch and the novelty is gone after a weekend…

however if i were in the market, the new Marin is the only one that had turned my head. looks like a beast! comes with coil shock and a decent spec. competitively priced too. failing that maybe the new Spectral?

I ride there alot. its my go-to when the weather is a bit shit as it seems to keep running well in the wet and the trees are a good shelter. There are some amazing trails there, tons of them. struggling to think off any features that they may deem unsafe… some are beyond my pay grade but all are well built. Traffic has increased massively recently tho, we assumed this was probably the TommyCHype effect? but trails certainly looking well worn and new lines appearing all the time.

I understood they were now under the control of the PMBA (in conjunction with LLCC) i only heard this, never read it anywhere…

So its still the case that whoever releases stock will sell out immediately . how come no retailer can source enough to meet demand? any retailers offering pre-orders?

Is it worth buying the digital only version? Assume disk version is preferred so you can still play PS4 titles and buy games 2nd hand… anything else to consider?

I also made a desk. after outgrowing the mrs’ dressing table and the realisation that WFH may well be the future i decided to expand my workstation. zero skill involved compared to the efforts in this thread but pretty pleased with the results…

I bought a set of Trailwides which were absolute dogshit. Hunt upgraded them to Endurowides (after much complaining) which in all fairness have been faultless – and they have been ridden alot over the last 6 months.
