is that 6 mile run not from the top of the Chamole lift?

trouble with hiring from the the top of the gondola is missing the last run down to Aosta! id prefer to still be as high as possible when the lifts close. suppose i could always ferry the bike back up in the car….. although the shop might shut!

hmmm, interesting. but i can bolt the Pila-Aosta run you speak of onto the bottom of the Desarpa? think ill still do it, if i regret it its an excuse to go back!!

this is the route i plotted so im not reliant on signs… https://www.strava.com/routes/10364981

it appears the Couis 1 lift may have already closed that week but it looks like a reasonable pedal up the access road?? definitely wanna do the full top to bottom (Desarpa?) at least once… reckon ill have a couple of runs in the stadium, then make my way to the top of the Couis 1 for a full run down to aosta, then see how im doing for time…

The lone captive wight, in the bright sunlight of kings landing was the series highlight for me. just looked incredible and was genuinely scary!!

Hound and Brienne’s proud parent scene about Arya!

loved the littlefinger scene too, thought he squirmed enough. he tried several tactics; i loved your mother, lets speak alone, to finally begging for mercy on his knees! was punching the air!!

but there were negatives, i hate Theon, i stopped caring about what happens to him ages ago but when he starting smirking at being kneed in the bollocks.. i wanted him dead!! in fact theres no way all those main characters should have survived that episode! at least one of the lannisters should have copped a belly full of sword!

wasnt convinced when the wall came tumbling down either…

Cheers. So am I better off driving up to resort or taking the gondola from Aosta? Sounds like I’ll have to give the bike back at the top of it so it’ll be a ride up and back down it at the end of the day…

So am i correct that the 820 has full detailed colour maps as standard, not the horrible basemap that cam on the 520?

    BLACK

yeah im not so convinced either. have seen a few of them around over the last 12 months or so but its aesthetics (apart from the finish) have never blown me away. its just looks like it should’ve been released 2 years ago? for £7.5k you’d at least want some fancy carbon hoops, a boost backend and a bottle cage…

interesting theory about them waiting for the dragon to come… but when the hound chucked them rocks and the zombies realised the lake was frozen again they began to advance…?

its a shame Dany didnt just give Jon a lift on the dragon north of the wall seeing as tho it only takes about 10 minutes. they could’ve just done a fly-by over the army of skeletors at altitude and saved everybody a lot of trouble…

i know plenty of folk who have never been to one, they are quite happy just riding out of their front door! their bikes have never seen the roof of an audi…

not hate, but natural is just so much better… but id rather be on the turbo than a full lap of Swinley red. its hideous. yes your on your bike so thereby everybody is happy be default, but not at Swinley! having said that, I cant deny that Babymaker is one of my fave trails anywhere, so much flowy fun, i quite often just come in from Bagshot end and do laps of that!!

I was a full on TC snob up until i rode Llandegla again after a few years gap. frickin loved it! esp when you tie in Worlds end etc…

I can take my kids to the blues at CYB and Gisburn too.

best thing i ever did buying my van. its only a 2 seater peugeot partner. bike goes in length ways with front wheel turned, or diagonally no problem. has racking stuffed with tools and kit, got a my little mobile jet wash, a gorilla tub full of clobber, coat hooks holding up helmets and pads etc. I’m always ready whenever the opportunity of a ride pops up…

not ideal tho with wife and 2 kids, when weve been camping or whatever ive tended to load the van and follow them in the car!! definitely go bigger next time but for the moment im happy enough.

not to mention the added convenience of having a van on the drive for other jobs too, picked up a new washer and freezer this weekend, then ferried the old ones all the packaging to the tip!! no hassles..

aye, when I were a lad we had to slog for miles over t’moor for a couple of metres of singletrack… Thing is if your expectation is that the whole world is covered in sculpted berms and carefully placed rock features then you might find ‘natural’ riding pretty dull, unless you accept it for what it is and enjoy the other benefits.

certainly dont find natural riding dull, unless its just undulating nothingness. you need to be rewarded for your slogs – with a big dock off decent!! The Lakes never disappoint! Pont Scethin looks like it would! love to be proven wrong like…

Pont Scethin. has anyone ridden that? been tempted many times but just looks boring so end up at Antur instead!

The French guy swapping uniforms at the beginning was so obvious and then built up into that needless confrontation

yeah i assumed our young protagonist was fully aware his new mate was a frenchy? the audience were! so that revelation scene bugged me a bit.

I didnt notice any of the continuity errors mentioned but they wring true in hindsight reading this, but i did often wonder where the hell everyone was!! some beaches were desolate!

nowt worse. still using the same discs?

ive had it when all else had failed i eventually got rid of perfectly good looking rotors that ive cleaned the death and the problem went away!

i really liked the look of my F20’s and the platform size/shape feels good but the grip was terrible so they have tended to reside in my spares box.. until i read this thread and ordered some hollow replacement pins!! first ride on them last night and the felt absolutely awesome!!! cheers

we were in val & tignes 2 days last week, mon & weds. scorchio flag crackers both days! definitely had our fill of the bike parky runs after two days, especially as brake bumps were already starting to appear!! but loved racing down to Val on Popeye in a super fast dust train tbf!! RR and RT were favourites otherwise and the long SV down to Les Boisses! and VBT! also not that great but worth it for the vistas, the IT ridge line from the top of Val Claret lift! we also took a few interesting looking walkers paths (apparently this is allowed!?) the highlight being this long winding singletrack through the the ‘lost valley’ which is a classic off piste ski run in the winter! you feel a million miles away from a bike park down there!
