Jerome Clementz hints at retiring from EWS?

What about the YT Mob branching into EWS with a certain Mr Rude as their showcase rider??

i only think about it if riding alone, gives you a bit of incentive. dont worry about it all in a group, just trying to either catch up or out run my mates…

Obvs. What other reason is there for Strava

i use it mainly for snaffling routes and segments off other users, and just to keep account of my rides. its also linked to my vitality plan do every ride = points and points = prizes!!

i despise waking up and not knowing how or what time i got there, scurrying through my discarded jeans to make sure im still in possession of my phone and wallet! and then just rotting for the next 24hrs (at least) with no inclination to do anything!

so much so i try to swerve any big night out or formal do. the only time i get drunk now is if its spontaneous or by accident, those nights dont seem to make me feel so bad. we went for a post ride pint recently, wasnt planning on doing but stars aligned, 1 became a couple, which became too many then the gin starts flowing – was a fabulous night!

on a proper night out i am consciously trying not to get too pissed too early, just have a bottle rather than a pint, swerve the shots, its not enjoyable and ultimately still end up wrecked anyway!!

like most people tho, theres nowt better than few pints of fine ale in a nice pub!

I ride solo couple times a week, at night usually and im always a long way from home (i work away down south during the week) so in theory nobody would miss me until i didnt turn up for work the next day!! does freak me out a bit… had a crash at Swinley last week on the off piste camel line, where i rode down and hit a jump that had had been built up since my previous visit, banged my head, had a lie down for a bit, thankfully came round and could carry on – fairly sure nobody else would have found me there that night if it had been worse!

my daughter is 7 and we gave her her mums old iphone. it has a free payg sim in with no credit.

we were sick of our phones being clogged up with kids games, apps and their notifications etc…

she uses it for playing games, watching netflix, taking pictures, and texting (whatsapping) its still my itunes account and she doesnt have the passwords so cant go buying stuff without us knowing. she’s not allowed to take it out of the house and it has to stay downstairs.

i work away during the week so love getting little messages from her. she also has grandparents in Wales, London, other relatives in South Africa and she can keep in touch with all of them.

    works for us.

i turned my turn by turn navigation off too, then half way through my next ride i realised why all the the climbs were technical and all the descents were on fire roads!! :?

i use a race face rip strip. no good if you need to carry water too but i get everything i need in there, is fixed firmly to my back and hidden under my jersey. even provides a nice bit of lower back support i find…

we moved into a house in the spring time this year that has a stove. ive been dying to light it all summer and i have finally started playing with it the last couple of weekends. i dont know what type it is but its a beautiful older looking cast iron double door stove, i guess 9 or 10 kw looking at similar ones online…

i have discovered that getting a fire going is a dark art, hugely satisfying when its roaring! but i struggle to build a fire that fills the space, i just tend to have a little one going in the middle, if i add logs to either side they dont catch fire… also its takes a fair amount of fuel before it gets really hot? and then its the hot metal that is kicking out the heat like a radiator, rather than the flames – you dont sit in front of it and get that crackly open fire experience… am i doing something wrong?

Why do these people submit themselves to trial by Kev? Do they get paid by Channel 4?

something i always wonder… i expect they get something, but not much.
i think its the exposure they get from it, the architects and the builders and suppliers – they all probably knock a few quid off the bill too??

went to see it on monday, on my own! as i do most mondays, on my own! (deep joys of working away)

as another huge fan of Tim Curry’s IT I was also sceptical when i heard a remake was imminent, but expectations were heightened on the back of all the reviews and record braking box office performance!!

was not disappointed, i thought it was great! i tend to find horror funny and was grinning throughout, loved the 80’s styling (nods to Stranger Things is apparent) and the bully was abhorrent!! there were a good few jumps in there too in fairness, and the the projector scene was creepy!!

one thing that crossed my mind tho, Derry must have the highest no of zero-shits-giving cops and parents anywhere in the world!! folk were dropping like flies but nobody ever noticed… :) top film.

also in a world where clowns run round the sewers killing kids, the most menacing character was Beverleys grubby father!!

I have the freerider pro’s and the EPS’s.

had a season out of each. EPS not as waterproof as id hoped but really warm. so warm i had to get something else for summer so got the Pro’s – they are really great. obvs not had too much exposure to cold and rain but they feel very light, comfy and super stable. no doubt ill be back in the EPS’s over the next few weeks….

Yeah I’ve no idea but I do, and I’ve snapped loads of the plastic insert plates too… if I don’t knock it off I hit the stop button with something!!

Never heard of Sugru but looks like it may just be the job!! My top tube mount is low because I need to get bands round, but with that stuff I should be able to tuck it in at the top..!

That was a good day!! Tracks were brutal! Could barely hold on by the afternoon…

I rented a bike from the broom of the chair lift. I asked for an enduro bike but the woman said I wasn’t allowed on the bike park tracks or the aosta freeride with an enduro bike so ended up with a beasty Devinci Spartan!! Amazing fun!! But obvs didn’t push it up to the top of Desarpa….
