all set to install mine this weekend, just one stupid question…

slick honey grease, slickoleum and sram butter all appear to be the same thing and can be used to do job? but i dont have any… i do have a little tub of rockshox dynamic seal grease they recommend using to service the shocks however – but no mention of using this stuff on the forks…

the dynamic stuff appears to be slickoleum with added teflon? can i not use teflon grease in the fork??

The ability to unfollow people so you don’t have to see their inane shit without unfriending them has helped massively. As such I’ve got quite a streamlined feed now, I only see updates from pages and people I’m interested in reading, and like it or not with friends and family spread far and wide it’s a great tool for keeping in touch….

I think ‘Disturbing’ as another genre all together, i love watching all the horror classics mentioned but stuff like Irreversible, Salò, or 120 Days of Sodom, or Martyrs etc are just horrible to watch. no fun at all.

Funny Games (Haneke original) is another one that really had an impact on me!!

I think when it boils down to raw human cruelty rather than ghosts and vampires, that reality can be chilling! Snowtown was another!

I like films that spark a severe reaction, either laugh, cry or shit my pants!! So I do enjoy horror. There are not many I find genuinely scary tho, I saw the IT recently, I loved it but the scares just make me giggle.

The last film to really creep me out tho was Get Out!!
It Follows and Dont Breath were two more recent favourites…

i have both models. the montaro is superior. feels more streamlined and compact. the Chronical is slightly more chunky. I have swapped the peaks round to create bespoke snazzy designs.

    think pads are universal.

badminton is a good shout. i play squash in the winter, couple of friendly games and a team match per week. the team night doubles as a bit of a night out too. biking is reduced to a night ride, plus the steady year round saturday morning spin.

i pretty much hang up my racket in summer and just ride!

Be good if it could capture conditions of the ride too, dark or light, wet or Dry… Give you a bit of incentive when the weather dictates you can’t really compete?

I live about 40 minutes away and have no desire to ever ride there. 2hrs from Staffs you could be at quite a few of the other welsh trail centres if that’s your bag or you could ride The Wrekin or Stiperstones, or bob up to the Peaks or Macc forest…?

i have found a couple of places now where i can take it if i make a disaster of it, but for what they charge its definitely worth attempting it myself first…

yeah thanks, but they want an extra £22 in courier fee’s, not to mention £158 to do the job!! i just wanna drop it in somewhere local and pick it a few hours later…

I would like to try one, but i really dont want to be without my fork for a week or so when i inevitably phuckitup, nor be without it while its in transit to TF or wherever – Does anyone know of a good LBS that will sort it, either in Greater Manchester or Surrey area….

fwiw i always stand on the same side as the pedal im removing and lean over the top tube to stick my allen key in the back of the crank. i can usually shift it with minimal pressure but tougher ones i might stamp on, just undo towards the back of the bike…

i did have the same trouble once tho, i ended up fabricating an excuse to visit the LBS, when there i nonchalantly added “oh by the way would you mind just nipping my pedals off, dont think i have an 8mm at home…”

    pinged it off no trouble!

was thinking of riding it at night next week, on my own! just a bit dubious whether my lights will last 25Km!? and wtf i do if they dont! suppose if there is so much fire road climbing i can turn the beam right down to preserve power… or would i be better off just lapping the Gwydir Bach bit?
