Reckon thats not far off what its costing us all said n’done. for 2 adults & 2 kids; 4 lift passes, 4 pairs of skis, 2 pairs of boots, 2 sets of lessons, 4 beds in a fancy chalet full board, 4 plane tickets and 4 transfers and that is not at half term!

Anyone hiked up to the cross at the summit of le Foglietta above Sainte Foy?

Is it doable without local knowledge? id love to ski back down the Col Granier, the North Face or The Monal too but i wouldnt attempt that without a guide – but just wondered whether the hike is worth it alone, from the top of the chair, maybe with the Mrs who doesn’t ski too well, just for the craic like, then back down again…

Ok i have tried taking off the crankset and reinstalling, but its goes back together the same way. the gap i thought i had is actually filled with the RF dustcap, but this does not seem to make good contact with the bearing…

Again there is no play and everything works fine, chainline etc all good.

when the non-drive side crank is in my hand i can turn the pre-loader fine, but once ive installed and torqued up it goes nowhere. the videos and instructions ive seen all show the crankset being manually pulled through the bb a couple of mm, i cant do this either.

the crankset was originally fitted on a PF BB92 – its now in a threaded 73mm bb shell with hope external cups, the drive-side cup has a 2.5mm spacer behind it.

finally riding it in the snow convinced me to get rid of mine, because in the conditions its supposedly designed for, it was even slower and shitier than normal!!

had a lot of fun in the sand dunes on it, but living nowhere near the sea there was no point keeping hold.

was good for tag-along school run duties for a while actually. ive got nothing to tow that thing with anymore…

never been but drive past quite regularly, its right at the end of the M3.
PoP to get to by car, but its a fair way out of London, probably take an hour from Euston or KC. you will probably get a tube down to Waterloo then a SW train out towards Richmond…?

Doesn’t one side of a Maxle ‘float’ – ie leaving the axle in won’t stop the forks/rear getting crushed unless there is something solid in there (otherwise how would it clamp onto a wheel)

yeah just clip the full face to a back pack – try and keep it out of site in the boarding queue just in case Jobby McJobsworth is on duty…

mine is Funkh0user-81 (PS4) i like the rifleman perk so i can use my fave SMG but still carry a sniper rifle on my back!! sniper kills are so satisfying to excute – but makes my piss boil to be on the receiving end!!

yeah i prestiged a few weapons too, wish i hadnt bothered – you just lose all your attachments!

what do you mean they actually die in HC?? are you out of the game if you get shot?

I dont generally speed, but I once got caught four times in four days doing between 35-38mph along a quiet country lane i always thought was 40mph by a mobile speed catcher van!! all the letters came through at once, went from spotless to 9 points and a speed awareness course!

2nd hand for me, but only last years no older. people have usually swapped out the stock shit for better gear and you can haggle on price. definitely get more for your money and they are all invisiframed or similar these days…

we drove last year, and the spares were invaluable!

i don’t know about any political undercurrent or deeper meanings and I couldn’t really give a shit. the film is just naffy Mcnaff face.

Force Awakens was so cool and exciting, this was like The Phantom Menace following on from Return of the Jedi.

Been avoiding all discussion and reviews until I’d seen it and now i have, just…

What a load of old shit.

Not a star wars geek, but a big film fan and I do like the series. Force Awakens and Rogue One especially stoked my enthusiasm recently

The last Jedi has completely squashed it. I’m not angry, just disappointed.

Had mine done at OptiMax six or seven years ago now. Consultation in London on my lunch hour, procedure done in Manchester on the weekend, was back in work on Monday. Absolutely no issues. Wasn’t sure they’d be able to help me, was short sighted around -6 but I had an 11 second zap and it changed my life. Best £3k I will ever spend…

Also, i’m sure it’s guaranteed for life – ie, they will repeat the procedure if your eyes deteriorate again for free ?

After years of contact lenses ( which I had no problem with) my optician told me I had to stop using them as they were starving my eyes of oxygen and blood vessels were growing towards my pupils!

Just little things like waking up and not having to fumble for your specs, or not falling asleep in contacts etc…

What’s the difference between a kangaroo, and a kangaroot?

One’s an Australian animal, and the other is a Geordie stuck in a lift!!

    Any more for tonight??

Yeah I like mine too, can’t fault it.

Never had to use it to guide me out of a pickle, but for following pre-planned courses and basic documenting of my rides it’s briliant. Touch screen is no iPhone obviously but it’s totally fine…

I once thought i was clever keeping my portfolio of work on a memory stick/thumb drive rather than carry a big binder full of drawings around…

i neglected the fact i also had a folder on there full of those filthy or disgusting clips that used to go round on email before whatsapp was invented…

when the interviewer plugged it into his PC it had some sort of auto-run feature enabled so before we could do anything a video popped up of this surgeon being sprayed head to foot in hot human shit!!

    didnt get the job.
