also keen to know an answer on this…

its alright but doesn’t stand up to binge-ing imo.

loved it, then got sick of it pretty quickly. need to re-visit. that fact there are so many episodes to go at puts me off tho…

well i went and bought a big dock-off file ready for a weekend fettling but all was made perfectly well in an instant when i slotted a little washer between the axle and the dropout!! top tip, many thanks balirc70.

I have a stage 5 too, but I hate climbing and don’t care where I am in the pack, I just sit and spin up to the top but can’t say it’s any better or worse than any other bike? In fairness rode Macc forest this weekend which has a number of pretty steep climbs and they were fine.

But, I know it’s a cliche, it’s just so much fun on the downs!! Really quick and assured, poppy and playful too, and that’s all I care about really.

I am on the debonair shock, which was improved massively when I stuck 4 bands in! added a Luftkappe to my pikes too which is amazing.

Surprised how many posts before someone mentioned the ending, I hate stupid non conclusive endings. Let down an otherwise outstanding film.

The ordinary Decathalon bibs for £9.95 are plenty warm enough (for me at least!!)

Plenty warm emough but the pads are like wearing a soggy nappy… non padded running tights over old favourite decent quality bibs ftw

I find the fleece lined or thermal bib tights too warm.
I got a cheap pair of running tights from decathlon for a tenner! Keeps this shit off and the chill out!

Oil & Gas probably does make a difference because there are so many contractors on some astonishing rates, so telling your LM what you are expecting wont shock them that much.

anyway, if they dont meet it you can just carry on as you are?

i lost 3 in 2 years! my brother has lost the same. My dad and his mrs had all 6 of their bikes nicked in one hit that were locked up, in a locked cage, in a locked basement garage with cctv and 24hr concierge!

i bought a new stem from them on Monday. alarm bells should have rang when they were the only place on the webiverse to have stock!! the website clearly said ‘in stock’ in big green letters but its not been dispatched yet, which is no surprise after reading this thread – maybe should have searched ‘tredz’ on here beforehand!

doubt there is even much call for high end fixies or dutchees if they even exist? there is just no point having a nice bike in London, sooner or later it WILL get stolen.

The Lake District has ‘better’ twisty loamy pine forest singletrack than Surrey Hills never mind the rest.

dont get me wrong, i ride out of Peaslake a lot, its great! and i fail to see how Oikeith or anyone else could be disappointed by it, unless their mates didnt show em round properly.

bastard beat me to it!! :D

i popped into Soho Bikes a few times whenever i was in town, it was cool but i always wondered how sustainable it was having a shop that specialises in very high end full suspension bikes in central london? but im led to believe it actually did quite well…?

but if it was so successful why did they not just sell the business rather than shut the doors??

I just seen to get to a point where I just stop

Kinda the same for me – I might have a few tins whilst cooking but then stop when I sit down and eat my dinner.

    midday boozing!! slippery slope…

out of interest, what is the nut for on the drive side of the axle?

    mahalo

i used to binge loads too. but nowadays its quite simple – there is no way im sacrificing my saturday morning ride for friday night boozing! ill still have few, I also look forward to that beer on a friday! ive just learnt when to throw a bag on it rather than end up ‘out out’

As much as i enjoy a night out on the beer, i value waking up without hangovers more!

Afternoon drinking is the one. as long as i get a good, long nights sleep on the back of a skinful im usually alright!

its been like this since new, its only beacuse ive been riding this bike a bit more often lately that its getting on my nerves! it does not seem to cause any drag, just makes noises!

we always stay in a posh catered chalet, for us its as much about the fancy grub and unlimited nice wine as it is the skiing. plus i hate forking out for meals all the time and the Mrs wants a break from cooking… as others have said i consider it my main holiday and appreciate the luxurious surroundings – although i do find the level of service a little bit above & beyond sometimes. im just a normal northern bloke so i can get my own beer from the fridge or chuck a log on the fire thanks. chalet hosts stood around with their hands behind their backs like servants while im trying to chill out on the couch makes my uneasy! at ease ffs.

of course if i didnt have wife n kids in tow id be happy enough kipping in the back of a van and living on bread & cheese for the week!!

i work away on contract in that London. 2 young kids at home. its far from ideal but i leave after i put them to bed on Sunday night and im back Thursday night, so they only dont see me 3 nights a week which really is not that bad. always remind them i could be in the forces or off shore for months at a time!

those 3 nights i can do whatever the hell i want too!!

i do not particularly like fruit or veg either. i eat it if its on the plate but would never cook them for myself! i have weetabix with milk (no syrup) for breako, a carton of fresh soup for dinner, then pretty much whatever i want for tea – although i always try to avoid anything with a red traffic light on the packet. confine crisps and snacks to weekend too, and i only ever drink water (except beer etc, also at weekend only) having said that ive just necked a door stop of Parkin…
