Is there such a thing as bib tights for skiing, essentially like bike bibs but without the nappy and in a softer more thermal material?

No matter what I try I always get a draft round the waist…

Still Game is class. still my go to if i only have a half hour to fill…

Peaky Blinders Series 4 has just arrived on Netflix. 🙂

lost a lot of credibility this series with that laughable Adrien Brody performance!!

    started watching ‘YOU’ last night.

was still watching at 1am!! been a while since i was last this gripped on something! great stuff, a little bit Mr Robot / little bit Dexter, but with other intentions! a little far fetched too how easy it is for him to do what he does but its cool and dark and a bit creepy. real binge material.

its all good fun but i did notice the errors too… not really convinced with the whole Cornelius crew thing, its all a bit too ‘Guy Ritchie’ for me.

also theres a full squad of armed police in the park yet Loofa ends up tracking the fella himself through the woods on his own! no dogs or thermal imagery either…? cant let that stuff spoil the enjoyment tho

ive done it on the planks but not the bike,

Flown late thurs, skied all day fri/Sat/sun and flown back Sunday night. I cover more ground than I do in a full week with the fam in tow!

But it would be too much hassle packing / unpacking the bike for me, sooner just drive up to the Tweed or something…

Hardly need any gear for a weekend skiing. One set of civvies, one set of thermals, salopets and a jacket. Any smellies get washed in the shower and dried over night….

ive seen far fewer films this year than ever before! not sure why, possibly all the quality streaming services and box sets to get through? but i just havent been to the pictures much…

Kermode doing top 10 best and worst of the decade this year! gonna need alternative top tens of 2018 to pad out my watchlist over crimbo…

I’ve not really given a shite about the footy for years but had a look at ‘Sunderland Till I Die’ tonight and was quickly locked into a full on binge!!

Incredible that the season unfolded the way it did while it was being documented!!

    Fantastic stuff. TV gold!!

I am a millennial 80’s fanboy of the original, but opposed to my vociferous contemporaries i was quite excited about the all female cast remake – especially with that cast! its hard not to love anything with Kristen Wiig in it!

i went along to see it and came out with the opinion it was just a bit shit, not terrible, fine, watchable but not Ghostbusters.

it was difficult at the time of release to express any negativity without being labelled a sexist, misogynist pig. but it was nothing to do with all that, its just wasnt that funny.

i watched it again the other night with the kids (both girls) they got bored, so did i…

i skied the rest of the week after i broke my collar bone one day in chamonix – had one arm in a sling under my jacket! nothing too tech, just cruised the pistes – but it was a lot better than not skiing at all!

ed. sorry i just read he is still learning… yeah prob not a good idea!

Finally any tips for taking a 5 and 2 Yr old Skiing? 2 year old will be in a Creche for some of it, both will have contact details etc written down and put in a pocket should the worst happen

its a bit of a shock to the system if your used to being on the first & last lifts and just buggering off wherever you want! but definitely worthwhile to see them progress. be patient, they probably wont have your enthusiasm at first, make sure they eat and sleep well…
We take our time in the mornings, no early alarms, nice leisurely breakfast, then a morning on the nursery slopes, or just messing about on sledges, building snowmen etc.. then they both went into lessons (or crèche) after lunch – that way we could have the afternoon to ourselves.

Absolutely all the time. It’s known as ‘ducking’ amongst us and it has become a fine art to slip away unnoticed… special kudos to the first to duck, usually involves pretending to go for a piss then diving out the door, but the best one is pretending your going to get a round in but never come back! They’re all waiting for their drinks then it suddenly dawns on them… :D

Well my stage 5 is getting toward the age where I would normally be thinking about a replacement but I honestly have no intentions to swap at the moment. It’s just spot on for me. I’ve had no issues and only on my second pair of bearings. If it was to crack now it would sort of be a result…!

enduromalaga looks like a touch. single day for 99 donkers is a bit pricey (we only paid about that for 2 days tag along with a Switchbacks group…) but ill be giving them a shout if i find myself down that way in silly season.

we were there at the end of April. wasnt too hot, was lovely infact. and no problem with the uplift, although we had a couple of days on our own and pedalling up the fire road out of Mijas was pretty sweaty! end of may could be a different story….

it’d be awesome travelling the globe on my own private rattler, especially like the one detailed above! But id be shit scared of hijacks or piracy in some of the rougher, more desolate corners of the planet, Los Cabos, Mogadishu… Liverpool.

yeah happens a lot, maybe not to those extremes but the companies often have a good relationship with recruiters and and trust their judgement, especially if they need manpower quick.

id probably do a couple of months commuting to make sure its alright before fully relocating. see if they will pay for digs / travel too…

knees wore through the lining of the Trailskins and ended up rubbing themselves raw on the rubber padding.

been using alpine stars paragon pads myself. they are super comfy. hate having straps or zips to consider. they’re a bit baggy on the thigh tho for me but this is a problem with every pad ive tried, loose on the thigh / tight on the calf. freak legs.

yeah, its ok shooting an animal as it legs it past, but slowly tracking the bastard is boring. as is searching for a particular creature for hours on end, as is the fishing… but as mentioned the game doesnt force you to do this stuff…

cba collecting all the fag packets either – but crafting is a p.o.p if you already have the gear in your handbag. the explosive bullets and fire arrows are great fun!!

no better way of improving than pushing yourself on something harder? with the exception of 50 Shades the blacks are not that bad… Roots manoeuvres would be a good tester! probably my fave trail there – although Terrys bellend – into Popety Ping – into Hotstepper is an amazing long run with a mix of everything!!

i have a bosch one that is a PITA to switch from suck to blow. the old flymo was much better as you did this with the flick of a switch. it aint great at either sucking or blowing either. i get the majority with a rake and use the blower to pick up any stragglers
