Another vote for Weldtite kit. Carry it with you and you can fix on the trail without even removing the tyre!

Our holiday’s of recent have been:

Daytime: I ride my bike in a nice place I don’t usually ride while the missus sits by the pool/sea and reads or chills in a spa or shops…

Evening we go out together to eat and drink too much!

    Both happy :)

Maybe the OP (and some others) look like the kind of people other cyclists wouldn’t want to interact with?

Can’t help but interested in what difference it makes compared to the standard Fox when you get it?

BTW there’s a new FB Group set up by Mark from The Bike Chain for UK Ibis owners: http://www.facebook.com/groups/425902034126764/ worth a post there?

First saw him at Miners benefit gigs during the strike and also at Red Wedge (with The Style Council and various others…).

Seen him several times over the years but like the OP had a long break until recently. Was great to see him again.

Goes off to find “B” on iPod….

where abouts was this? thinking of planning a trip somewhere nice.

    There’s a clue in the title ;-)

Seriously: I think I prefer Cannock. Cwmcarn seemed to be 1 big climb (quite good) and then nothing too amazing to me. The last descent is nothing special in my book. Cannock might not have the altitude but with the new black bits on the Monkey I reckon it’s a great lap.

    For DH Cwmcarn wins though!

Cannock. Cwmcarn is full of Shandy drinkers from That London clogging up the trail

Hmmm.. 213th for me. Prob my worst one so far result wise. Chain issues on two stages + too much braking! At least I completed it in one piece! Enjoyed it a lot too.

Some poor bugger was being loaded into an ambulance as I left. Hope he’s ok?

Was good. Never ridden there before. P*ssed off when my chain snarled coming into finish despite having a chain device! Any results anywhere yet?

I was expecting a nightmare on the local clay last night – first time I’ve tried a local one for ages – and I was very surprised to find it all fairly dry!

    Hi Doug

    Nothing like a lucky pierre!

Yeah saw you’re photo of chkdsk on Facebook :-(

Hope you get it sorted. I’m off to Shropshire for the Gravity Enduro later :-) I’ll see if Ed’s words of wisdom help? Looks like it will be a little damper than we were riding last week :-(

My HD has more clearance than that (Hope Pro II Evo hub) so something’s amiss…

They both are 104 BCD so the rings should fit (It’s the M985 that has the weird BCD).

actionsports.de have the rings in stock according to their web site…

I paid £110 for my 10 speed xtr cassette with my shop discount, why did i buy it? Because i wanted the best drivetrain on my bike – I was hardly going to spend nearly a grand on chainset, shifters, front and rear mech and chain and then opt for XT just to be a tight arse and save £30 or so….

It’s a bit more than a thirty quid saving on 10 speed. Chain reaction prices = £47 for XT vs £160 for XTR. That’s 3 for for the price of one. Is it 3 times lighter/better? At full RRP you’re looking at more like 4 for 1. That’s why I stuck with XT for the cassette.

    IMO F*ck no!

I’ve got full XTR 10 speed drivechain except for the cassette. I drew the line there and stuck with XT

Since when does anything look steep/tough from photos?
The technical sections are harder than most people realise, the vast majority of normal riders wouldn’t be able to ride the A lines.

Even taking the “less steep in a photo” thing in to account (which I am very familiar with) I’ve just re-checked a load of photos and the features don’t look any harder than black Scottish trail centre stuff to me any way.

Looks nice! Thinking of heading that way next month – what are our chances of finding the trails without a guide do you think?

Not good. Get in touch with Doug…

Many folk do agree with you crispy. Personally I don’t find it a problem. You just have to lift your foot. Whether that’s an issue or not is a personal thing?

It’s far more technical than your average trail centre, it would have to be sanitised if its open to the public.

Doesn’t look it in the photos and videos I’ve seen. Why can’t it just be left as a “black” run?

I’ve just had my first week on a set of the new Saint pedals. Look bling. Shimano reliability expected to be as usual. Lots of little improvements over the old DX’s and less than 50 quid. Job’s a good un! :-)

Both my Camelbaks can do this. One’s “The Capo”. Can’t remember the other model… check out the one’s they tag as “freeride” in the marketing blurb.

Attend: as per my contract 38.25 hours per week (tho the b*ggers have added half an hour on starting soon!).
    Work: errrr… yeah…. I’ll have a look at that in a minute ;-)

Works the same as 9 speed. You generally have a bigger range of gears at the back so need less cogs at the front. Actual cog sizes front and back up to you!
