TNT will do it for £40 inc VAT:
    interparcel.com

Easy for non companies to order, I’ve used this service a fair few times. You’ll need to put it in some basic packaging though.

Could do, I’m Coventry way in the week with a large 275.

They will do either way, if you’ve not heard drop them an email. (Or so it states on their fb)

Ah well. Were you a self supported entry?

I thought I’d be lucky if I got to race it for a second time!

Did you enter the normal draw on Monday?
Me and a few others that entered haven’t heard anything back yet.

I bet, fingers crossed its still going at the end of the week….

Tell me about it! It’s pretty good normally but been putting some hard hours in.

What’s more worrying is that I was hanging on for a rocket, which sadly got cancelled. I get my hands on the bike I’m bringing at the end of the week with some setting up to do this weekend!

I’m in. Got one of entries released in June.
    Both worried and excited.

How did you get the notice?
I’m on the list and not heard a whistle…

Yes! I got one of the 5 spaces made available in June.

Super excited but a bit nervous if the weather doesn’t pick up.

Suspect they’re trying to figure out the maximum bid of the current highest bidder

Make sure you block the bidder if the auction is still running.

There was one back in May that sold for £777, ebay item no 181137602893

    What gave you that impression?

Mentioned a few times above, but has anybody managed to pin the increased cost of premium when they have no fault on the other party? Tendious to accurately quantify over time for sure.

It seems more than little unfair that your premium may increase if you are completely not at fault, as clearly in the case of the OP.

Anyone go to their demo at the weekend? Did they hint at a date for them??

    Madfly

Did you pre-order it with them directly or through a dealer?

I’ve been waiting since about june an gutted would be an understatement if they sell them all on pre-orders…

Mick, it’s probabbly missing a washer!

To prevent it over opening they placed a simple penny washer at the end of the lead screw on most of their models. This act to stop the back of the sliding jaw cast from passing the half nut supports. It’ll probabbly be about 12mm id 30mm od.

It would appear so if it’s lasted that long! Not the most versitile out there nor the biggest but fine for what it does.

    nedrapier, – It’s a Parkinsons Perfect vice.

From the top it should say
    Parkinsons
    Model F
    Trade
    Perfect vice
    Mark
No 3 (or at least it looks like that size.)

They were made from about 1912 onwards, Sadly they wern’t date stamped. (or so i’m aware)

    Nicely finished…

His cancer scare, miracle cure stories are sickeningly anti-science and the only good thing to be said about his Mail is that no one decent or educated believes in it.

Dexion speedlock racking is superb. Went through a couple of other cheaper ones before i bought a load for peanuts on ebay (took a while to find i’ll admit!)

I have the 500mm deep sections, they do hold a decent weight. I have truthfully around 200kg on each shelf without being unstable or overly flexy, they don’t need bolting to the wall either.

We hired a rug doctor a couple of times and were impressed. Ended up buying one as second hand they barely loose any value and we use it every few months. I also get plenty of thankyou beers when friends borrow it!

Why don’t you compare their quote against a mobile fitter from Blackcircles to do it in their carpark. Perhaps you can then push their quote a bit.

If this descends into a “ditchfinder” or “buy cheap die fast” conversation i’ll have nothing to do with it!

I thought the ball to line trick was the one that really stood out, allthough he did just mention on PB it took almost 300 takes…

    Amazing skill and determination!

Why don’t you ring the bikeshop local to him and see if they’ll box it (obviously you’ll need to pay), then get tnt or such like to collect from there, Assuming he is happy to drop it at a local bike shop and they’re happy to help.

Might not work, only an idea…

When we were looking for ours (A working one) we found there to be quite a mix of them out there.

I think it’s been said earlier up but if you get one with almost solid FTCH’s in the parent line odds are it’ll be a machine. This article, although it can seem negative, gives a strong opinion on working cockers and cockers from strong ftch lines.

I’d suggest going along to a game fair, or such like, where there will be loads of them either on demos or with owners. Most if not all will happily talk to you about them, (Spaniel people are great!) the lines they’re from and what they’re like day to day.

That’s utter rubbish, categorically don’t leave feedback until the item is in your hand and your happy with it.

It’s his problem as he’s a new seller and they don’t release funds in higher risk categories untill he can prove it’s delivered or you leave feedback.

Wow, over 200k. It doesn’t say anything about who bought it though.

As interesting as i’m sure gas pipework and fittings are, i’m not convinced i’d want a reminder of it every time I pass my own car.

I’d have thought BS 14766 might be more apropriate on this forum.

    Sorry, I’ll get my coat…

Waste of time now a seller can’t leave negative or neutral feedback. Everything is geared to protect the buyer – sod the seller!

You can see the items he’s been buying and selling if they are similar or if there are positive feedback comments with more details it gives some good clues. I’ve had a couple try this and it’s dead easy to see they’ve probabbly done it before.

Or equally you may see they’ve bought the same item for spare/repairs a few weeks earlier which maybe the one you’re about to recieve back as yours returned…

Do you have any way of identifying it being specifically yours? It’s been known for buyers to swap for their broken one and claim a refund.

Have a look through his past feedback / items he’s recently bought through advanced search see if theres a trend….
