But am I wrong in thinking that propedal isn’t trying to be a lockout, and that it’s more clever than just stiffening the shock? I was under the impression that it was designed to reduce low speed compression caused by pedal stoked and therefore wouldn’t have much effect on faster compression caused by hits on a decent. Looking at the travel used when it’s been on vs when it’s been off, there’s not much difference, but there is a noticeable difference in pedal bob.

Spot on there, When im on a techy ascent the propedal works by tracking the ground if you know what i mean. I find if i have the lock-out on then im bobbing about but with propedal on i have a greater feel for the ground without the serious bobbing effect you get when the shock is open. Not a very technical answer but the best way that i can describe it.

sounds good, when i had my shed broken in about a year ago they but the chains off no bother, but i have a plan to dig a big hole and fill with concrete, then in the concrete have a metal stake coming up through the shed floor onto which i will weld a few loops for passing heavy security chain through. Plus i have a plan to get an alarm on the door.

Excellent, did the route a couple of weeks back for the first time and ill be heading up again this week for a bit of exploring as there is so many trails and tracks up that way. And 40 minutes from my door. Love it 😀

Now fair point on the BIL doing a few firsts with your son and yes that will rankle but you really have to grow a pair here. The boy has his whole life to have many firsts with you. Americans make me smile and pull my hair out in equal measure, i lived in Houston for a year and spent a lot of time in Louisiana and Texas so not a huge spread of US demography. They came across and the most hospitipal, friendly bunch when everything was on their terms and they were on home soil, as soon as they were in situations where they were out their depth or not comfortable then a very different side to them showed itself.
BUT – that was a small select bunch i spent a lot of time with.

I don’t get this – I used to work nights and I’d make sure that I can get to sleep, ear plugs and blackout blinds work wonders. I used to have a fan so the room wouldn’t get too hot.

Well thats just sweet for you, unfortunately not all of us are so fricking awesome. My neighbours at the moment are brilliant but my mate who lives down the road has just had his downstairs neighbours teenage son move back home and its party central till 2 in the morning every night, i really feel for them as they have tried to be be polite, make well worded complaints but so far to no avail.

Buti guess he should just bang earplugs in every night and just live with it…..i think not!

That was my thinking as i assumed i came underthe small profits rate of 20%, but i was looking at the HMRC website and i nearly had a panic attack when i read the 25% rate. My accountant seems to be having an extended holiday with the amount of time it takes here to get back to me 😀
